Great service and top quality steak and fries. Couldn’t eat it all so had a ‘doggie bag’.

I was automatically charged the annual fee - which I did not need and have not used their website in over a year.
They would not refund me. Poor customer service.

We love using Travelzoo to find top quality destinations at hard-to-beat prices. Its easy to use and always delivers.

What a brilliant restaurant. Carlos the waiter was absolutely brilliant. Such attention to welcoming us was really exceptional. Great value for money. Thank you Carlos.

Wow what a super hotel,very comfortable bed pillows etc..We regular use Tripadvisor have for years now this is only 3 rd time we have given 5 stars..exceptional good,friendly staff food to die for best ever creamed potatoes with evening meal,breakfast back,thick proper bacon cooked to order,so lovely and hot…This hotel couldn’t be closer to Hay-on-Wye,small car park at rear parking out front..We are readers so this was a absolute treat filled our car boot..Thank you Travelzoo.

Stay away from Travelzoo. My experience has been terrible.

I signed up for the $1 trial mainly because Travelzoo advertised an airport lounge benefit. I tried to use that benefit and it did not even work.

Then the paid annual membership started and I was charged $50. I canceled the same day I became aware that the paid membership had started because I did not want the service — especially after the main benefit I signed up for had already failed.

Travelzoo still refused to refund me.

What makes this worse is that Travelzoo tells customers to contact Member Services if they are not satisfied with the service. I did exactly that. Instead of actually addressing why the advertised benefit failed, their employees and even a supervisor kept repeating the same policy language about the $1 trial being non-refundable.

Their customer service has been extremely unhelpful. I have repeatedly asked them to address the actual issue — why a benefit they advertised to sell the membership did not work — and I still have not received a meaningful answer.

So from my experience: they advertise a benefit, the benefit fails, the $1 trial turns into a $50 annual charge, you cancel right when the paid membership begins, and they still refuse to refund you.

Their “contact us if you are not satisfied” language felt completely meaningless when I actually tried to use it.

The whole experience makes it feel like the business model is to attract customers with a cheap trial and advertised benefits, then rely on the fine print once the annual charge hits.

Be very careful giving them your payment information. I would not recommend Travelzoo and would stay away.

Quality of the spa treatment and the lovely cream tea afterwards. Polite and helpful hotel staff. Also the excellent value obtained via Travelzoo. You have come up trumps again.

Excellent pub and beautiful rooms. We stayed 3 nights, including breakfast and dinner. Clean, quiet, comfortable and welcoming. Friendly staff. Can thoroughly recommend.

I have NEVER used Travelzoo. I browsed it one time and today received a $50 membership fee??!!! I called to cancel and they refused. After this happened, I found numerous consumer complaints describing similar unexpected annual auto-renewal charges and refund refusals.

Nice clean hotel. Good size rooms and bathroom. Good coffee facilities and easy access to restaurant.
Chatsworth and Bakewell within easy reach. Very good value for money

I booked a vacation with a Travelzoo sponsored travel company (UTO Vacations). I gave them $600 deposit for a China trip that was cancelled & reposted for twice the original price I booked for. UTO only gave me a credit, which I did not want. Travelzoo said they wouldn’t do anything to help me get a refund. I wouldn’t use Travelzoo as you won’t get a refund if your trip is cancelled.

Bought a short break through Travel zoo recently.
Had a great time.
Very easy transaction with them, at a very fair price to a very good hotel.
Already booked our next outing.

Really nice hotel very quirky and lots to look at. Staff were very nice, and friendly. Our Hammam was very relaxing and a great experience. Afternoon tea was lovely one each with plenty to keep you full. 2 for 1 discounts on cocktails at present we had on the roof terrace which was so beautiful decorated. A must visit

Nice place with great service. Food was OK but not special. Yorkshire pudding very stale but roast beef very good. Not specially good value - basically you get a glass of Prosecco and a coffee for free.

I like using Travelzoo for great deals in well researched hotels and resorts.
Had some great holidays and beaks usually with some nice add-ons or additional features.

The Parlour at Great Scotland Yard Hotel is a delightful place to have tea - or any other meal. The tea served there was excellent with very original and unusual savories, scones and cakes. The tennis-themed cakes were both amusing and delicious. The selection of different teas and the service were good too.
The tour was less good. The guide was enthusiastic but there's not much to see of the original police headquarters so all he can do is talk about the artefacts there and the history. It's a curious building and probably a great place to stay (expensive) but in that part of London there are far more impressive things to see nearby.
