I registered my dog with pet chip she got lost, when we went to retrieve her I was told she hasn't been registered at all and I could be fined £500. I've tried to contact this company but got nowhere, I've got in touch with PayPal and they say take it up with the company. What the company that doesn't exist. My bank account tells me another payment is coming out next month for what.

UK Petchipregistry SCAM!

SCAM! HOW TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK! Firstly, if you've paid them via paypal you need to contact paypal and ask to get your money back! Petchip say they offer a 30 day full refund, so there's your grounds for a refund! BUT, They don't even reply to the contact form on their webpage! Secondly if (Like me) you agreed to a reoccurring paypal payment, again contact paypal and cancel it!

Here's the paypal customer service telephone number: 02039017000, Don't deal with the paypal voice assistant, just keep on saying, "I want to speak to an advisor." when the voice advisor asks, What about? just keep saying, "I want to speak to an advisor." then you'll get a human, and they will get you a refund and also cancel the reoccurring paypal payment. Having the paypal email from your original petchip transaction to hand when speaking to paypal makes things easy for the paypal advisor to locate and refund/cancel payments. Mainly this is for the transaction ID number, and the last four numbers of the bank account you used to make the transaction.

Don't waste your time contacting petchip, they won't reply and they won't refund or cancel any reoccurring payments - they're a scam, they want your money!

At the time of writing this petlog.org.uk/ run by the Kennel Club only charge £19.95 one off lifetime payment. I recommend this.

Hope this helps. So sorry if you, like me have been scammed. Best wishes Johnny

Yesterday I went on to a website trying…

Yesterday I went on to a website trying change the address and details on my dogs microchip I got on to the website I through was for the company my dog was registered with so I filled out form. But boy was wrong when I phoned up the company my dog was registered with so I can change the details on my dogs microchip I found out that I was not in contact with them at all and the company I was in contact with was firm called uk-petchip registry.info. I filled in the form and I paid £18-00 that they said would cost and through no more about it until I spoke to the company my dog is registered with only to find out that the website I was on is a complete con and the lady I spoke with at the right company I wanted said that when you got on line to find the company your pet is registered with the uk-petchip company automatically comes up so you think that you are in contact with the right company so please beware if you go online to change your pets chip details I am very good at spotting a con but this one is so clever that even I didn't see it . So PET OWERS PLEASE BEWARE if i can be con so can you

SCAMMERS!

SCAMMERS!! AVOID!!!

If I could give them zero stars I would.

I paid to update all for of my dogs, paying a total of £72. Luckily I checked other websites that evening and the following day to search their microchip numbers to make sure the changes had been made and found none of mine were changed. A friend of ours is a vet so she kindly scanned the microchips as well and told me the address hadn’t been updated.

I had no way of emailing them other than the ‘do not reply’ one they had emailed me from as they don’t have an email on their website (wonder why). Thankfully I paid through PayPal so I received a full refund after contacting them.

Imagine someone losing their pet, thinking they’ve been updating their details to find they’ve been conned! I was also worried that I had put my dogs details into a dodgy site when there is so many dog thefts at the moment so even before the refund I changed all of their names to John Doe and removed my address.

After PayPal contacted them, they reached out to me to inform me it was my mistake as they state they don’t offer these services - I replied with screen shots of their website but haven’t heard from them since. I would like to think I’m quite switched on with scams but I was totally had, I’ve made a claim through citizens advise, hopefully this site will soon be taken down before anyone else loses out! I have now contacted each of the companies my pets microchips are registered with and have paid to have it changed properly- which only cost me £6 each! This just seemed so much better to have all of the details in one place.. if something’s too good to be true then it probably is!!

Scammers and thieves

Scammers, these muppets will take your money and charge you £18 every year once they have your bank details but they offer no service because they are thieves.

Do NOT register your pet on their data…

SCAMMERS :- Do NOT register your pet on their data base. If you have a problem and try to message them, using their web site message box. They say they will get back to you in one working day.. I am still waiting after 3 messages from 5th and 6th of January. I have even emailed them and still no response. Absolutely shocking Customer Service. Take your £18 and that's it. Its not until you press payment do you see it's an annual subscription. I certainly won't be paying them again. This is the first time as I mistakenly thought I was logging into Petlog.

DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY

DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY. IT IS A SCAM. 😠
TRADING STANDARDS STATE THIS...SO WHY IS IT STILL ON GOOGLE SEARCH.
I was trying to register my dogs chip number as we have moved back from Germany. Thought it was ok until I saw other companies charged a nominal fee and not any more annual fees.....but I'd already sent a payment through PayPal. I've cancelled any further payments they try to take, by my bank.
We're at the vets in a couple of days... I'm guessing her microchip will not be on the national data register. ( Then my bank will claim back the£18 paid, for not providing the service I paid for)

Like everyone else I have been scammed

Like everyone else I have been scammed. I stopped my auto renew with PayPal and also requested PayPal not to accept them as a legitimate company and alert others prior to payment. I wonder why PayPal allow the company to register with them. I have also alerted the action fraud team. A lesson for me to learn.

Caveat emptor

PLEASE, if your dog is registered with this company, find out the original database that the chip was registered with as anyone who has access to a microchip scanner can get your details from this company it doesn't require any log in info and isn't secure,
As you can see from these reviews, they have scammed a lot of people and could it could be costly to you as the keeper.
If you're not sure which database your dog is registered with but you do have the chip number, go to a website called checkachip to find out and give them a call to check your details

SCAM!!!!

SCAM!!!!! same issue as all other reviewers. Have lodged complaint with trading standards and urge everyone else to do the same to try and get this website taken down. If you have fallen for this, remember to cancel recurring payment or they will keep taking your money for something that is free elsewhere.

Avoid

Same as previous customers. Although they claim the registered microchip will appear in all UK databases, this does not happen. I have checked with my vet and the cat is not in their database. Basically, the only way someone can find you is if they check on this database only....so what are the chances really?! I have sent them an email for confirmation but there was no response whatsoever. This is a scam website. Have asked Paypal fo refun and also cancelled the renewal.
