Scam pet microchip registry
This UK Pet Chip Registry website is advertised on Google and comes top in search results but it is an unauthorised registry. It claims it will add pet microchip details to a national database but this website does not meet UK Government standards and is not on the list of Government approved pet databases.
Using this unauthorised UK Petchipregistry database can make you liable to a fine of up to £500 and worse still if your pet is lost or stolen you won't be reunited with your pet.
Not only did they take £17.00 through PayPal but they set it up as an annual recurring payment!! PayPal have refunded the £17 and I have cancelled the recurring payment. AVOID AVOID!!
I thought I had registered my puppys…
I thought I had registered my puppys microchip number on a Database I paid £24.00 by PayPal last August however I found to my horror in February this year he was not registered on any accesable Data base..I tried to contact them for an explanation and was told if I wasn't happy I could ask for a refund ..I have not received any refund despite 3 emails to them and I'm appalled that my dog was at risk had he been lost or stolen. I have since registered him with a accredited company recognised nationally for half the price ..they told me Pet chip is a scam ..have reported to Google too.
Scam...£75 down the drain
Moved house in 2016 and paid £75 via PayPal for change of address, tel nos for 3 chipped cats. Notified them this week of one cat lost...they said they never heard of me or the cats. But I have Emails from Ms Boyd confirming Dec ‘16 notification.
Paid £10 today for change of address details etc with Petlog who still had old address. Couldn’t be more helpful.
Avoid Petchipregistry.
Like everybody else on here: SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!
TO ALL RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERS: I’d give this company a big miss if I were you!
THIS IS NOT A RECOGNISED CHIP REGISTER; i.e. if someone finds your lost pet and takes it to a vet to have the chip scanned, it will not be displayed on any of the Government-affiliated chip databases. However, if the Vet should physically type the chip number into the search facility in THIS site ONLY, your ‘registration’ details will appear.
As everybody else on here (with the exception of the 4 deluded ‘Excellent’ reviewers!) I got scammed by them!! We Googled PETLOG as advised by our Vet and this bogus site came up tops! After registering my dogs chip with them and then realising they were a bogus company set up to imitate the Government-approved PET CHIP REGISTER, I emailed them 3 times via PayPal to get a refund and to remove all my details from their records. I initially attempted to raise a dispute through PayPal but was unable due to the short time lapse (have to wait 30 days). However, I’ve just been notified by PayPal that I’ve been refunded my £17 (not credited to my bank yet though so it remains to be seen!). I’ve also received a very nice email from Kayla Boyd (clearly a nasty piece of work that doesn’t like a few home-truths!) that, due to my demeanour (I wasn’t abusive or curt, I merely informed her that I was in the process of contacting Trading Standards and seeking legal advice to recover my money and she had 30 days to action my request), my emails have now been blocked, as follows:
“You are contacting our company through an email address that is not monitored. This is not the email address displayed on our webpage.
I have happily issued your refund and removed your pet's registration.
There is no possible way for us to obtain your registration unless it is submitted by you.
Given your demeanor, I am forced to block your email address from our system due to baseless threats.
Further emails from you will not be received henceforth.
Thank you,
Kayla Boyd”
My response: 👏🤣😂👏
*** UPDATE ***
Apparently, you have some issues understanding our service as well as understanding the internet. Feel free to spread your lack of understanding to your friend and family so that they may help you understand the internet and the refund process anytime you use a credit card. Please read before signing up to a service that you don’t understand. If you had taken the time to read, you would realise your own mistake and also realised that anyone can obtain a refund at anytime without the false claims, threats and attitude that you deem necessary to obtain a simple refund.
I'm sorry that you are so easily bittered. Nonetheless, your pet's information has definitely been removed. I'm sure that PayPal has explained the refund process to you... but I am also sure that you did not read it.
PET CHIP REGISTRY.
Got scammed by these people this week
7Got scammed by these people this week. Fortunately I have been able to get a refund from Pay Pal .

STAY AWAY FROM PETCHIP REGISTRY (PCR)
STAY AWAY FROM PETCHIP REGISTRY (PCR). I unfortunately signed up to them without researching them (basic error!) in early Nov 20. Once I realised my error tried to contact them 3 times thro their website contact pages to get a refund under their 30 day rule. No replies received. Eventually got a refund through Paypal, having to wait 28 days for Paypal to contact PCR for their comments.
However my account & details were still on the PCR site. Several more contacts made to have the account closed, again no reply. Eventually found an email address, first email no reply, 2nd email got the following reply on the 14 Dec after I accused them of being uncooperative and basically a scam and said I would be reporting PCR to Paypal, trading standards and Google:
" Your pet’s registration was removed upon your refund request. Given your preposterous and baseless claims, please feel free to contact the authoriries.
I fail to see how our company is "non co-operating", given the absolute fact you have received your refund as requested.
In the meantime, I have happily and personally blocked your email address and proceeded to turn in your contact details for harassment. Further communication from you will not be received henceforth.
Thank you,
Kayla Boyd

My account was finally closed on the 14 Dec, not when I first asked (early Nov) for a refund from PCR.
The following is an email from Trading Standards sent out in Mar 2019 to Nick from Microchip Central
Nick
Yes, they are known to us. We served a notice on them and their original UK-based website was closed down. However, they have now moved off-shore making it difficult to reach.
We are working with Trading Standards to see what our options are.

Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible. I tried to register my puppy with Pettrac.co.uk. Unfortunately, I misspelled the website address (I added a “k” at the end of the word pettrac - i.e. pettrack) and then landed on this website.
I made the payment and immediately informed the company that I had made an error.
That was over 2 weeks ago. I have heard nothing.
Having now read all the reviews here it is clear that it is a scam.
I have now escalated my case through PayPal and hope to get my money back.
I am aware that I made a mistake, but it was a genuine error, which I openly explained. I would have expected a genuine company to offer an immediate refund.
Stay away from this company.
I got scammed by them as well
I got scammed by them as well. WHY IS PAYPAL still accepting payments for these con artists?
Absolute scam!!!!!!! AVOID
Absolute scam! Please avoid, you’ll be paying £17-£24 for nothing, as it’s a scam! your pets details will not be transferred into your name and once you’ve paid the money it’s proving difficult to get your money back, I’m also struggling to get my pets details off the database!
Chip registered with all correct details.
Just looked up my pet and all the information is there that needs to be. No complaints.

I have been told by Pet Log, the Kennel Club system for cats and dogs, that this is a scam and they don't offer the service they claim to. They took £24 from me to register my cat.
