Big scam and should be closed down
Big scam and should be closed down. They are criminals trying to get your banking information and then they start charging you for a service you have not even used.
Are they really based in the Netherlands? Can't the authorities do something about this? They need to be closed down.
its a scam alright
its a scam alright, don't give them credit card details, don't bother even with the free trial cause they will not cancel your account & they will keep charging money even if your card canceled!! bunch of thieves
DO NOT ever use them.
DO NOT ever use them.
I wanted a free trial, and when i then wanted to cancel it, i went through the whole process and then at the end i get a message telling, that they cant cancel it because i have to CALL THEM, before i can cancel.
F.UUUUU i just say, i rather cancel my credit card then calling them, they wont get any money from me, and NO one ever should use those moronz

Review from Italy...Was looking for a university book, usenet claimed they had it, after joining the free trial I saw that they had lied and the book wasn't there. Therefore I tried cancelling ( very hard to do) so I called and they said it would cancel the account. I also blocked PayPal payments.
A year later today I got a letter from a debt collection agency pretending money from me from usenet. Called usenet, they have nerviest got the request to cancel my account. Obviously I won't pay for something I did not use. it is a SCAM. usenet and mediafinanz group is a scam
Usenet.nl is Unusable/Scam website.
- Register with only username (not set password) and credits card.
- Process to change password due to forgotten method via E-mail.
- Nothing happen, cannot login with new password with how many try.
- Go to their support page, their support via email require "password", which I don't have.
- Call to customer service (England).... no respond.
- Call to customer service (US).... no respond.
-----------------------
This make me cannot cancel any advance payment method, which I already consult with my Bank customer service and they cannot do anything to un-subscrib. The last method I can do is only seize/dispose credit card and make new-one.
The worst services ever
The worst services ever! Subscribed to get a book and after that was not able to unsubscribe so they charged me 99 dollars. I called them million of times and asked them to cancel my account but next month they charged me again so I had to go to bank and block my this card.
just a trick to get card details
just a trick to get card details - subsecribed as wanted to use content but cancelled immediately as content changes dramatically once subscription's validated.......
I also called to confirm that no money will be taken - was reassured and told that they're not responsible for content - just lure you in from google to get credit card details. AVOID!
Scam alert!!
Like everyone else here I just signed up and immediately realised I couldn't cancel. Will be calling my bank if they they debit any money and blocking all future payments from them. Definitely a scam!
I had the same problem
I had the same problem, go to Paypal or your Credit card and cancel them through that (cancel vendor). Usenet.nl is a SCAM!
Seems like a scam:
Seems like a scam:
1. bought their services to download one specific file from their servers, couldn't get that file.
2. when registered, ticked a box for a 1 month subscription, charged for the second month when the time has come
3. tried cancelling subscription: called on a phone, emailed, but eventually they charged for the 3rd month the very same day I sent cancellation email.
Frauds
Scam and fraud .
I tried to download "usenet" without registration , unfortunately it is a big liar

SCAM!!!
Funny story, actually. I was looking for a Sims 4 Keygen because I felt I could bypass the whole buying process, and one led me to this website called Usenet. At first it was like meh, and then I realised I couldn't find what I was looking for after subscribing to the 2 week "free trial" using PayPal. So as sweat was beading on my forehead, I decided to cancel my subscription, or at least try to, because it was useless. The whole cancelling process was just complete BS, and I was nauseated as heck afterwards because I was so nervous of what they were gonna do next before I realised I could cancel my PayPal subscription. And as another safety measure, I locked my debit card that was linked to my PayPal. But after reading a ton of reviews condemning the website, I felt it fair that it would be common courtesy to continue the trend and say what fraudulent, scamming criminals that haunt this earth, and I hope they get taken to court one day!
I look forward to transferring my imminent debt collector's notice from the mailbox to the shredder. They ain't gettin a cent from me!
Scam
I signed up for trial account two weeks ago, then I tried to cancel it 15 minutes after sing up, when I tried, it said that I have to call their custumer service, I called them but I did not received an answer. I tried again and again whitout answer. Then I decided to stop my payments by PayPal, I tried to send them an email (again without answer) and now I received an email, saying that I have to pay them, or they will contact a collection agency in my country.
Frauds
A scammy company that has affiliates spamming the web with E-Book ads for books that are not really on Usenet.Nl but you only find out after signing up for the free trial. If you cancel your Paypal, they will still say you used Usenet.Nl. I signed up to see if my book was being hosted illegally but it was not, the ads were fake, so i cancelled without using it at all.
Got a debt collection letter wanting 130 euro from Tech Inkasso GmbH saying I used the service , but if you ignore it, they will go away.
They are FRAUDS.
A Paypal Cancellation does NOT cancel your Usenet.Nl
Don't EVEN use it
Don't EVEN use it. I f you're like me and you did, DON'T EVEN PAY the money they charge you for NO REASON.
Literally the worst scum of a website I've ever …
Literally the worst scum of a website I've ever encountered.
Like the other reviews, I thought I had canceled my subscription. I complained, was told cancelation had to be through email / support email like their "Cancel" option under "My subscription" didn't exist(it does, but doesn't work apparently, which I also wrote to them). Then they said "We will gladly take a moment to explain why your account was renewed automatically. Unfortunately, you canceled your account after it had already been renewed. You already received a separate e-mail with your confirmation of cancelation and the actual end date for your contract.". When I then pointed out, that I in fact had not received any email and had done nothing different since when I thought I had canceled before the trial ended, they sent me the email with my confirmation of cancelation, DESPITE still not having done anything different, 3 hours after claiming that I had received it. Yes, I should've known better, done some research and read all these painfully accurate reviews, but to have the nerve to pull that email trick on me? Lesson learned.
