Interesting and enjoyable cruise
Interesting and enjoyable cruise into Lake Superior. The service and dining onboard The Victory II was excellent. The on-board house band and singer who provided most of the nightly entertainment were very good. Fore some of the shore excursions it seemed that not enough time was allowed for the scheduled activities (such as allowing enough time to fully take in a museum or historical site) but in general the shore excursions we chose were very good and interesting.
Staff was great as was food
Staff was great as was food. Cabins are small but we managed. Included tours very done very well and interesting. Did not really like lake y”expert “. I thought he gave way to many statistics and with no enthusiasm. Would like more stories a put the lakes and locks not haw many feet of ice.
Sick people that gave my phenomena.
Victory Cruise Rocks!
We cruise 5-6 times a year, river, ocean, etc.
We thought from a scale of 1-10, Victory nailed a 9: The cruise, staff and excursions were amazing as was the food, entertainment, etc.
the only issue we had was the size of the room, especially the bathroom (shower)…way too small…
Cruise itself and excursions were good
Cruise itself and excursions were good. The food was excellent--better than most cruises. Entertainment was also good.
The lake lorium was knowledgeable but his presentation was not very good.
Victory 11
Had a great time on Victory 11. Staff was excellent, friendly. So welcoming! Our cabin was very comfortable. Food - what can I say, food was excellent.
Only negative would be the tours. They were great, just needed a bit more time. Felt a little rushed, especially at Niagara Falls and Detroit (Henry Ford Museum).
Th food and accommodations were…excellent
Th food and accommodations were excellent. The entertainment and activities were good. I was disappointed that we could not go to the Ford museum and that some of the excursions were full before we got on the ship. This may have been the problem of the Gate1 staff and not going directly with Victory cruise lines. Thanks again for a relaxing cruise. Carl Clauson
The service we received was wonderful
The service we received was wonderful, the staff was so polite and accommodating. Also the ports were great . Could have used a little more time on a couple of the excursions but all in all it was great.

First Experience
This was our first experience on a smaller ship and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
The staff was wonderful and helpful
The staff was wonderful and helpful. Even those whose jobs were not particularly public service were always polite and helped if they could. The ship is maintained well. The food was very good and decent portions.
My only compliant is that the elevator is terribly slow.
Lots of good stuff but two things that…
Lots of good stuff b ut two things that could be better. 1. the elevator was wery slow!.
2. Crafts were planned for every other day but that did not take into account the days we were cruising for over 24 hours. The result was that crafts were scheduled for when we'd be sighting and nothing planned for a full day of cruising.
Great Value
So much about this cruise line is great. The staff is amazing, friendly and so helpful. The food is great with lots of variety. I think that victory is a great value given all that is included in the price of the cruise. The only downside is that the ship is so small, so the cabins and fitness center are quite small. But the excellent customer service, the included excursions, entertainment, cocktails, and Wi-Fi definitely help to make up for that.
The staff and the service in the dining…
The staff and the service in the dining room was wonderful. We especially enjoyed the waiter we had several times named Edward. The reception staff was respectful and responsive to any questions we had. The “house” band was exceptional. Our cabin attendant was also terrific
Cruise was good, but...
Cruise was good, with small but okay cabin, acceptable food and service. But, "Lakelorian" on 6/12 Victory II Chicago round-trip cruise (Michael --?--, was not good: technically unknowledgeable and incompetent, rambling and incomplete presentations and inaccurate about ships, locks and lakes.
Wonderful experience cruising the Great…
Wonderful experience cruising the Great Lakes. The food was delicious, the cabin was small but well designed, the staff so friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the shore excursions and also the various lectures, activities, and entertainment aboard the ship.
A Family Atmosphere
Victory Cruise was new to us. The idea of a cruise on the five Great Lakes was new to us. While participating on this journey we had the feeling of an almost family atmosphere. The 150 guests and the amazing staff were pleasat and helpful.
