Beautiful weather - smooth sailing
Good shore excursions - but some were far too short - In Duluth we had 25 minutes to tour a 37 room mansion, a carriage house, and the gardens.
A great value on the Great Lakes
Our cruise had 153 passengers per staff; it’s a smaller ship but renovations were first class as is maintenance; I saw no rust anywhere. The cabins are small but beautifully designed and appointed. Beds are small as well but comfortable. The food is very good to excellent. Portions can be inconsistent but more can be requested and staff aims to please. The “house band” on our cruise was outstanding! We’d certainly recommend this cruise, which is priced far more competitively than Viking’s Great Lakes options.
Great value
Great value. Perfect itinerary. Comfortable accommodations except for the overly heavy cabin doors which are hard for elderly travelers like us.
Food was excellent in quality and variety. Crew service was commendable. Entertainment was exceptional. Educational talks and lectures were much appreciated.
Pleasant cruise
The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and always eager to please. The only complaint we have is about the beds. They were seriously outdated and uncomfortable...slippery mattresses on box springs, which were too small.
Staff and service was excellent

The cabins are TINY....even though I was lead to believe that by booking (and paying more) for the cabin at the back of the ship I would have a more comfortable cabin, it was not true.
Staff was superb, food was okay and entertainment was good.
We enjoyed the entire experience
We enjoyed the entire experience! The food was special every meal, entertainment and education on-board was wonderful and the excursions added to the fun.☯️👍
Unique opportunity to visit the Great Lakes
Victory Cruise Lines is to be congratulated for rescuing two very nice smaller cruise ships from the previous owner's bankruptcy experience. We sailed the Chicago roundtrip on 3 of the Great Lakes on Victory II. Since the cruise included a stop in Canada, the staff on the ship was international, largely service staff from the Asian Subcontinent and management staff from Europe and the Subcontinent. Service on the ship, from the Captain to the Room and Dining stewards was excellent.
Cabins are comfortable and adequately spacious. Larger folks beware: the shower is quite small. Beds are comfortable and storage space was adequate for our 14 day cruise.
Cuisine was the quality and quantity that would be expected on a high quality cruise line. Choices at dinner were varied and interesting with some bow to the region of the cruise. Breakfast buffet in the Grill was exceptional with plenty of opportunities for customization. The Grill in the evening, utilizting the hot lava stones, was an interesting and worthwhile experience. Some pains were taken to make the experience a notch above the dining room, which was, in out experience, already at a high level
Entertainment was not really to our taste. In the evening, usually a three piece band playing contemporary music. We were the outliers, to be fair; each evening the lounge was full as was the dance floor. The Lakelorian provided educational and informative lectures on the history and geology of the Great Lakes.
Each of the ports was worthwhile. The included excursion provided a good introduction to each. It was somewhat disappointing that we could not dock on Mackinac Island, but docked across the Strait, requiring an early morning ferry shuttle to make the morning excursions. (Some political shenanigans it seems.)
Best cruise that I have ever taken.

Felt very well taken care of
Felt very well taken care of. Helped when needed Very pleasant and personable crew. Food was fantastic. Loved going to dining room and grill. On board events were fun to partake in. Great trip
This company is wonderful
This company is wonderful. The cruise we took was AMAZING. Room couldn't have been better. Food was better than any cruise I have been on. I have been on 15-17. Service was superior. Only criticism is they need to give more time on excursions. Some did not give you enough time. The entertainment was No. 1. Don't hesitate. They beat the pants off of American Cruise Line or Pearl. And are lots cheaper.
Mostly a five-star vacation
It was all good until the final day when we didn’t get to see Toronto or the extra Toronto excursion.
The staff and service was wonderful
The staff and service was wonderful. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
good serice and food
Victory 2 Great Lakes…
Previous cruise on American Queen was more enjoyable. Cabin was too small. No place for quiet relaxation. Travel agent received precruise hotel change too late. Breakfast ended too early. Staff were superior, especially Uno, Rakul, and Wayan in Grille and Joh our room attendant. Entertainment was good. Lakelorian may have been knowledgeable but poor speaker.
Every day
Every day, it felt like personal service from every crew member entrusted with the different aspects of our
care, especially, Maria in the dining and the owners who were very generous to all passengers.
