The Best Cruise Ever!
The positive enthusiasm of the entire crew among themselves as well as with the guests was exceptional and infectious, making this cruise significantly better than every other cruise we have taken. The meals were also exceptional, delicious, varied, fresh, and well presented on the plate throughout the cruise thanks to chef Doni, Preston the restaurant manager, and their entire team. The servers were attentive and entertaining, Maximillian as a prime example. The drink bartenders, led by Sachin with Jose were attentive. The Victory II band was highly entertaining, with a different theme for their music each evening. Wonderful instrumentals and vocals. The daily, included excursions were excellent, supported by Social Director Mickey and the Roads Scholars team, and managed like clockwork by Maddy and her team, although a Niagara Falls option without the Hornblower boat ride might be a good addition. The 250th Anniversary presentation including the reading of the Declaration of Independence by the guests and acknowledgement of military service was very patriotic. All in all, extremely well done.
Patriotism Resplendent On Victory America 250 Sailing!
A Great Lakes cruise is sure to be memorable in itself, but, sailing with Victory Cruise Line when America turned 250 was especially noteworthy.
When we arrived in our stateroom there were two small flags, patriotic pins and a copy of The Declaration of Independence.
The ship was decorated in red, white and blue bunting and festive patriotic decor.
The entertainment department presented the veterans with a challenge coin and the hotel manager thanked them, individually, for their military service,
Twenty three guests volunteered to read excerpts from the Declaration of Independence while the keyboard player accompanied them.
Victory cruise lines is a class act and goes the extra mile!
This Victory cruise to the Great Lakes… DON’T MISS IT!
This Victory cruise to the Great Lakes was everything I expected and MORE. What stands out most in my mind is the crew. Everyone was polite, attentive and professional. The excursions were fun and informative. My husband and I particularly enjoyed the excursions to Mackinac Island, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Niagara Falls and the culture and arts tour of Cleveland. The food was delicious and plentiful. It was absolutely fascinating to go through the locks. We enjoyed taking a cruise that was not on a crowded and oversized ship, and we would definitely consider another Victory Cruise.
great serrvice and caring staff
Very friendly and efficient staff
Very friendly and efficient staff. Well organized off shore excursions! Excellent food selections.
Victory II Great Lakes cruise- round trip Chicago
The crew was very attentive and friendly. Excellent customer service. Always came back to a well cleaned cabin at night. I liked that the food, alcohol and excursions were included in the package . We met a lot of nice people from different states and are maintaining friendships with some of them after 15 days together. Great experience, great memories!
Wonderful and attentive staff
Wonderful and attentive staff. Service was personal and 1st class. Strongly recommend Victory Cruise Lines and the Victory II crew.
Everyone of the crew was very helpful
Everyone of the crew was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. The entire experience was awesome.
Preston was very helpful with food allergies and making our waiter aware. Our wIter Rahmat was awesome. He took very good care of us.
The only critique I have is I wish there were more hors d'oeuvres passed around during the cocktail time. There seemed to be like 2 trays being passed around. Most of the time I as not able to have any as they were gone by the time they came by me. This is especially true during the captains parties.
Excursions were very good. Some of them did not give enough time to explore the location. Hard Rock Hall of Fame and Henry Ford Museum are a few.
Thank you for a winderful vacation!!
Lovely cruise with wonderful staff
We chose this cruise for the experience of traveling through the Great Lakes. The shore excursions were interesting and the lectures on board very enlightening. The meals were delicious, the staff wonderful, and the crew delightful.
Such an amazing experience!
This was an incredible highlight for me and my family. We loved the overall experience of the beauty of traveling around on the ship and getting to explore such interesting locations. Underlying that joy was the exceptional team of people looking after us with such care. I've never seen such an attentive and hard working group trying so hard to make sure that everyone had a good experience. The talent behind the food was incredible; every single day the food was amazing in both taste and presentation. The boat felt energetic but not crowded, there was a remarkably tight house band, and there were just the right amount of amenities. I writing this in broad strokes but there were so many individual moments where people went above and beyond to care for me and my family.
Great tours, food, staff and route!
A shout out to our room steward, Ari, who was so helpful, caring, and conscientious. Uno in the Grill, Reichele in the Dining Room, and Sachan in the Tavern were superb, and went above and beyond to make us happy. Madelyn, our cruise director, got better each day. Our Lakelorian, Mike Crowe was so knowledgable and gave very good presentations. The food was delicious. Tours were very interesting and well organized. The daily schedule was good but wish the craft lady could have specified which crafts she was doing each day. Thank you for a very memorable cruise!
The staff and managers were helpful and…
The staff and managers were helpful and friendly. All tours were well organized. The staff in the dining room were friendly and polite.
Everything was great
Everything was great. The staff was sincere, helpful, and generous with their help. I wish the excursion in Niagara was longer we had to run to the gift shop and had to be back on the bus in 15 minutes. The Cleveland excursion to the Rock and Roll Museum was great I liked that we had the option to stay longer or return to the ship for lunch. We stayed longer. The Detroit excursion was great as well, we would recommend this cruise to others. I would suggest deleting the trip after Milwaukee and go to GreenBay instead. The band’s singer was exceptional. I had fun making jewelry on the sailing-only day. The meals were outstanding!!
Very well organized
Very well organized. Food excellent. All crew members were great. Excellent service
Best food ever in over 300 days of ship and riverboat sailing!!
Best food ever in over 300 days of ship and riverboat trips. Service 5*.
Only regrets were the size of the staterooms and our missing our flight from Toronto-home. The delay was not Victory's fault, but it did put a damper on an otherwise superb trip!
The Perfect Cruise Adventure for Seniors
Both the passengers and the crew were fantastic. We made so many new friends and the crew never said no! The premium excursions were incredible, We needed more time in Milwaukee and Niagara Falls; and could have done without Escanaba or Sault Ste, Marie. The perfect
Interesting and enjoyable cruise
Interesting and enjoyable cruise into Lake Superior. The service and dining onboard The Victory II was excellent. The on-board house band and singer who provided most of the nightly entertainment were very good. Fore some of the shore excursions it seemed that not enough time was allowed for the scheduled activities (such as allowing enough time to fully take in a museum or historical site) but in general the shore excursions we chose were very good and interesting.
Staff was great as was food
Staff was great as was food. Cabins are small but we managed. Included tours very done very well and interesting. Did not really like lake y”expert “. I thought he gave way to many statistics and with no enthusiasm. Would like more stories a put the lakes and locks not haw many feet of ice.
Sick people that gave my phenomena.
