Came for new tyres, which were fine and good value. Unfortunately the tracking of the car wasn't. I came back three times to have it corrected, and each time it was progressively worse. Eventually I w... See more

Shocking customer service. The manager (who I will not name at this point) is a total misogynist. He is rude, stomps around and is totally unwilling to listen to reasonable complaints. I bought a leisure battery less than a year ago which would not charge. He refused to negotiate either a replacement or give me my money back! I am in the process of escalating my complaint and will update review as and when an outcome is reached.....
Went to this garage whilst staying in York. Got a nail in a tyre and went there for a puncture repair, was told that the tyre couldn’t be repaired and they could provide a new one for £88 all in. Only gave them 1 star because I couldn’t give them zero stars. Staff are surly and unfriendly, they spend a lot of time outside smoking and drinking tea. The garage manager Zak (Wand) Riley charged me £10 more than the quote I was given the day before. They need to attend a customer engagement training course. The only decent employee was the young lad who removed and refitted the wheel. Find somewhere else if you can.
Mechanics were so bad that I can't put it down to inexperience - It must've been malicious. They completely ignored the job they were asked to do and proceeded to make the car significantly worse. Now unable to drive until we get a real mechanic to take a look.
Their policy is to hold your vehicle at ransom if you are unhappy with the 'work' they've done, or pay up. Of course I was unhappy - They didn't do the job and made the car worse. Avoid at all costs, scam artists.
Barnsley Withorpe Road.
Took my car in with a knocking when braking coming from rear. I was told it was a broken suspension top mount. I queried if the suspension had also failed and was told it was just the mount.
Booked in a few days later to fit. After waiting almost an hour I was told they had forgotten to order the part but it was on the way, i checked 30 minutes later and was rold the part hadnt left the supplier yet! Re-booked for two days later...
Second try, after a 45 minutes wait i was told the suspension actually was broken also needed changing and they had ordered the part!
2 hours and £180 later i drove out and noticed immediately that the original knocking sound when braking was still there!! I gave up at that point, got home
only to discover my locking wheel nut was not in the centre console as it had been. Drove all the way back to the store to be told they chucked it on the passenger seat. (I found it later under the passenger seat).
Appauling customer service avoid at all costs.
I recently had 4 new tyers fitted at the leeds branch When I went to collect my car I was advised I needed work done on my brakes at a cost of nearly £400 I asked my usual mechanic to check this out and after doing this he informed me that were in perfect working orderand no work was needed They are nothing but con merchants
Huddersfield branch review.
Suffered an unexpected puncture but managed to limp my car to this place.
Walked into the reception to find the chap on the phone, stood there for several minutes and wasnt even acknowledge by him. Another member of staff came in, was ignored by him too.
Eventually a third member of staff came in and asked if he could help, explained I had a puncture and would appreciate them having a look at it, got told they were fully booked and nothing they could do.
Their vehicle repair bays were empty of customers vehicles and no customers were waiting in the reception.
Poor customer service, didnt even offer any kind of help.
Norwich Wilco Dalhousie road rang up for a electric car mop guy on the phone hadn't heard of one but his colleague said yes , he went off to look at prices for me and came back asking again what I wanted
Will never use them again why try to save the high street when you can order online
Doncaster
Charged me 140 to fix windscreen washer to get it through MOT...then tell me its failed dangerously on arms and brakes.
So i took it to a mechanic, who couldnt see what they described.
Then took it elsewhere for MOT and it passed and was totally reassured by the tester that my car isnt dangerous and looked for myself whilst on the ramp.
They really do take advantage
Today I visited Wilco Motosave at Leeds and was really impressed by the service and attitude given by the gent from Northumberland and the gent who actually carried out the work ( he was the one who ate LOADS haha ).
The initial gent was informative, pragmatic , speedy and gave a light and bright customer service and experience.
I've been to the shop many times over many years and never had any issues BUT today it really was exceptionally good.
Thank you kindly from a daft tired Defender driver who forgot where her locking wheel nut key was ...
My husband called at York Wilco Motosave last week and received great service and help from a member of staff he didn't get his name but he wore glasses and hadn't worked there long and replaced the exon bulbs in my husbands Qashgai his colleague was helpful too. Great friendly service.
I booked the wife’s Mini in to have rear brakes done warning lights on £86 fitted. Great price Drop Car off 25 minutes later Trevor the mechanic contacted me and said it just needed topping up with brake fluid. He checked brakes. Everything was working. Picked Car up £8.50 for brake fluid. What an honest Individual thank you motor save and thank you Trevor !!!
I have just had the best experience at this garage. My car was in for its MOT and I'd had a really stressful morning and even more stressful time sorting logistics without a car. Special thanks to Martin on the front desk for sorting everything so quickly when my car failed. Communication was great, nothing was too much trouble for him and everything was sorted really quickly. Big thank you to the staff behind the scenes too, as it couldn't have been done without you. Really, really impressed.
Booked in for 2 tyres which was by appointment! 1 hour and 40 minutes it took to change my tyres. Their excuse was that they over booked on appointments. I was told to arrive before my appointment to find that the garage staff don't start until 9am. I have a professional job and I was unfortunately late to another appointment. So their problems became my problems that morning!!!
at Wilco Motorsave Castleford.
Taken my wife's 2 in on 2 occasions and spent £300 to be at the same point as I was when I started. At least dick turpin wore a mask. The area manager, has not communication skills and is rude to put it blunt. They should be shut down for taking money off people and providing no after care. The area manager walked away because be couldn't justify why the member of staff say one thing, yet its completely different when you go back. Luckily for me I got another garage to check the work before taking it back for the warranty work and got them to put ultra violet paste on the bolts to check if they even replaced it. Next step, trading standards. DON'T USE THIS SHOP. Worksop should be embarrassed.
Had two tyres fitted last week. Drove 85 miles home. The was a rattling sound that got worse. Took car to my local garage who found my wheels were very lose. I could have had a nadty accident
Gainsborough Manager Michael Binns goes the extra mile to help all his customers. Whilst I was waiting for an emergency puncture repair (he squeezed an extra job in) the phone didn't stop, the advice given was sound, appropriate and extremely helpful. Not being local I just drove in with a puncture and it was a pleasure to do business. Thank you and your team
On the 07/07/2022, I spent £2338.20 on 2 E bikes. We bought them to use at our caravan so we could nip out and about. Then in less then a month ,I had used my E bike for no more than 5 hours. I had to return my E bike to Wilco Motosave Swinton ,because the pedal had stripped it's thread and fell off .They repaired my bike pedal no problem, free of charge as still under a year old . In June 2023, my wife's pedal did the same on the same side, the crank shaft. Her bike which has been used for around 15/20 hrs total in less than a year. I returned this E Bike on the 23/06/2023, we have all receipts to prove this. After they had looked at the bike they called us and said the repair was going to cost us £35.00, which I replied ,its still under the years guarantee and you fixed my bike with the same problem. His reply was , I fixed your E bike because we had the parts in the shop. I told him we are not paying I have spent £2338.20 with your company and the bike should be fixed because it'sunder a year old and this must be a common problem , the same problem on 2 bikes. I have now taken the bike to a very well known cycle shop for the repair. They have told me the reason the pedal has stripped it's thread was because when being put together, they must have crossed threaded the thread and there is no other reason a pedal should come off . Also , they have charged me a lot less then the £35:00 to repair it. We are really disappointed in this company Wilco Motosave but more in the Swinton branch where the manager could have been more helpful and recognise that we had spent a lot of money. if anyone had spent over £2,000 on a car where something goes wrong ,they would repair if under a year old, but not Wilco MOTOSAVE ,they wont even repair a pedal on a E bike. If you are considering buying a bike, I would not recommend Motosave Swinton! Go somewhere else. The after service from Motosave Swinton is very very poor ! We are now looking at lodging a formal complaint to Wilco Motosave and seeking legal advice .
I booked my car into the branch in Birstall West Yorkshire, they informed me before any work was carried out and the customer service is second to none, amazing company, I will always take my car back here.
Booked in for three A/C to be checked then re-gased. Have spoken to Wayne numerous times and he's also very knowledgeable and always promoting the company & services provided by wilco motosave. The job was sorted straight away and was very satisfied with the service overall. Wayne is a great asset to the company and his passion for his job.
I was quoted around £200 for car repairs at the Hunslet branch in Leeds. The work was completed promptly & when I returned to pick my car up the mechanic explained that the work had been far less laborious than expected & thus the price was only £13.99. I have minimal knowledge of cars & they could have charged me the £200 that was originally quoted & I would have paid it. I was obviously pleased by the team's honesty & happy with their punctuality, communication & friendly attitude.
