Highly frustrated with unfair practices.

I am deeply disappointed with how this platform operates. They routinely filter out legitimate, detailed reviews from real customers while leaving questionable ratings untouched. Their algorithm lacks transparency and actively hurts community trust. Navigating their customer support provides no real help or resolution. I am switching to alternative platforms that offer better transparency and fairness.

It seems Yelp is simply a sales lead tool and spam generator.

It seems Yelp is simply a sales lead tool; my most recent posting for businesses to contact me ignored the request I made and simply messaged me to offer their services; many of the providers didn't or couldn't provide what I had asked for, they were simply reaching out to try and sell me what they had to offer in spite of my very specific request. The replies were basically spam messages.

Yelp gives 5-Star Rating to company whose owner harasses and intimidates African-Americans.

Yelp! refuses to factor in negative reviews of DLE Contracting (of Clarksville, TN), whose owner Dalton Levi Eatherly regularly livestreams himself harassing random African-Americans in Nashville, TN, and pointing a loaded gun at them when they react. An African-American family who used this company, based on Yelp's 5-star rating, could literally be endangering their lives. Yelp! must be BOYCOTTED, until they value the lives of people of color as much as the "free speech" of racist contractors.

Yelp is horrible

Yelp is horrible. I had an issue with wanting change my business web address and phone number wanting to update it. I updated it in my business profile, then went back the next day to find it hasn’t been changed and they locked my business profile, letting me know I had to call for customer support. I have called every day for almost a month now and no help this business bullies you into having a business listing due to some reviews that clients had posted even though I did not want my business phone number public. I run a very small salon and only advertise by word of mouth. They told me it’s not up to me it’s public info. Even though I don’t take walk ins and I’m not a public business. They are bullies and offer no help. Being worse the customer service people cut you off mid sentence and one hung up on me. They offer horrible customer service and are just flat out a company that shouldn’t be in business.

What good is Yelp

I wrote a completely accurate review on Yelp early in 2025. Since then I check to see if it is still up: because I'd like others to not lose thousands of dollars and not get what they paid for. Tonight I see that my review of Coatney and Sons mobile home movers is listed as 'Not Recommended'. And that now two other people have had extremely similar (same) experience. Also, there is a message box highlighted on their page and when I click it, I see that one of them reached out to me asking for communication. I got no email from Yelp, and the message is from many months ago. But I call the lady and it's the same story. They lost thousands and got no setup whatsoever. Yelp is absolutely useless! Why? Are they getting a cut from what Colin Coatney steals from people?

Absolute TRASH

Absolute TRASH! They literally pull legitimate reviews that highlight businesses and keep the one bad one center stage as if people are not going to Google first lol. Refused to pay for advertising most recently and noticed my most recent review was pulled AGAIN.

This person has been a client for years and was referred by her family who live abroad now, also who reviewed us on Google.

They are pathetic at how they try and destroy business owners just because theirs is in the toilet! You reap what you sow, YELP! Remember that!

Carvana in Texas

Carvana in Texas offers to sell and buy cars ONLINE without the hassles associated with selling a used car to a dealer. I am selling a 2014 one owner luxury sedan with 35,000 miles in like new condition. However I am disabled and unable to provide Carvana with the uploaded documents required to sell this exceptional vehicle. Carvana has posted a beautiful and well organized website that offers buyers and sellers a simple online transaction process. What is missing from the Carvana business model is the human contact necessary to discuss the unique and special needs of potential clients.

Very disappointed with Yelp

Very disappointed with Yelp. Since starting ads with them, I have received mostly spam and scam calls instead of real customers. Some callers were asking for debit and credit card information, which was very concerning.

I also tried contacting customer service to cancel the ads, but the experience was not helpful. On top of that, some real 5-star customer reviews on my business page were hidden, which made it even more frustrating.

I spent money expecting real leads and support, but my experience was the opposite. I would not recommend Yelp for small businesses.

This Review is about the Website called YELP.

This Review is about the Website called YELP. As a CEO/President of 30 yrs. I've never seen a Company that does not vet the person making the Review. They do not care thats its Fraudulant, from an Ex-Employee, Spouse, or a Social Media post that wants to end your Company. This Company cares only about Money, paid by Companies like ours in the past.

Worst company every. Do not use them

I am a business owner and will never give one cent to yelp. I opened up a new business 7 months ago where I purchased the the remainder of a business that was closing. I changed the name and kept the old phone number. Now my business carried very simular products as the business that closed. I called yelp to de-list the previous business as it is effecting my search as when people search the old business it says closed not knowing there is another business here. I was told that they can not do anything about it as it is automatic when it will get de-listed. So in out words they have no control over there own program to delete listings which I find hard to believe. I can understand why they try to take pride saying they will help customers, but there very own star rating is less than 2 stars. It just proves if they can't have a good star rating which from this last phone call I can understand why, how can they help anyone else's business. Time you update your policies and listen to your customers who pay thr bills

It’s disappointing to see how platforms…

It’s disappointing to see how platforms claim to support small businesses while filtering or hiding many authentic positive customer experiences, yet prominently displaying a single negative review.
We were repeatedly encouraged to purchase advertising, and after declining, it became difficult not to question the visibility of our genuine customer feedback. Transparency should matter for both businesses and consumers.
As a business owner, we welcome honest feedback and continuously improve from it. But review platforms should ensure fairness, authenticity, and balanced representation — not create environments where businesses feel pressured into paid advertising to protect their reputation.

Eco Works landscaping has left his mark…

Eco Works landscaping has left his mark on us. Alexi is a one man owner / operator that has transformed our yard in to a backyard paradise. Cleaned & edged the beds added the mulch, beautiful!!! Then it was removing and transplanting the ornamentals (6) finally did some leveling where needed. We are so impressed with his methodical approach and focus on his work. Lastly the clean up was incredible. “He is now our guy” Thanks Eco Works!!!

I was standing inside my home watching. Called 4 numbers to talk with local company located on Dodge and instead was connected to call center 3 times. The fourth number, supplied by a Tim Miller Manager, using text messaging, for questions/concerns is no longer in service.

I had a water pipe break and needed a contractor. I had Mark Scott construction company. They did a great job replacing the flooring and bottom cabinets. A thank you to Don Draper for all his help also Frank Capaldo and Derick Watson.
