Beyond Disappointed

Beyond Disappointed: Do Not Hire Aptive Environmental - "technician" spent all of 1 min in my backyard "spraying" Sent me bogus pictures and a laundry list of what he supposively did. Lie. I was standing inside my home watching. Called 4 numbers to talk with local company located on Dodge and instead was connected to call center 3 times. The fourth number, supplied by a Tim Miller Manager, using text messaging, for questions/concerns is no longer in service.

Poor customer service and giving wrong information.

This last year my wife signed up for a year, with Eco Shield, the pest solutions Co. In April when the Rep.came out 4 23 26 for our application, I asked the rep how many more applications we had. After contacting his office, I was told one. At that time because of cost, we would not be renewing because of rising cost. Being A Senior Citizen, on a fixed income, expenses need to be controlled. Today when I called to complain about our Ant Problem, they told me my contract was cancelled, even though I WAS told I HAD one more application left, and was told by a customer rep, I could get a complacently application. I thanked her very MUCH. However, in about a half hour, I RECEIVED another text that I could not get a complimentary service unless I SIGNED UP for another service. Being in sales and customer service, all my life, I would never make a statement unless it would be fulfilled. THIS IS A POOR WAY TO RUN A COMPANY, WHEN YOUR PHONE INTRODUCTION SAYS your customer service. My next step is to contact Channel 7 is on your side to get their opinion on poor customer service.

You don't know you need something until you go to use it. That was the case for us in wanting to open our windows and let the fresh air in. Screens, holes, slits, wear and tear. Did my research and as usual there are many so called screen repair business's that also do yard work, construction and so on. I like to deal with a company that does specialize in one area. That is why I chose Screenmobile. Easy to set appointment, price given on the spot, no guessing, set up install date. Zach and Matthew were great. Explained and offered any and all questions we had. Very satisfied. Don't go looking all over, this is the one stop you need to go with.

Monthly calls to advertise and I am on the DON'T NOT CALL LIST

I was a longtime advertiser, but Yelp showed its true colors. Long story short, they don't care about their customers, just money, and they have shady business practices! They continue to call me to advertise again, even though I have been on the DO NOT CALL LIST for over a year! Month after month, rep after rep, I get a call and an email. I tell them I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST, and it still happens. The new reps assured me it wouldn't happen again, and sure enough, I received the call and email. I even had one rep get snotty with me, saying, If you were on the list, you wouldn't get calls. It’s almost comical at this point. I reported Yelp to the FTC and FCC! Please leave me alone, YELP, and get your act together.

Posted a review about them on Yelp, and magically it wouldn't post, and their other reviews don't show.

Yelp-Deceptive-Takes Advantage-Lies-Lies

Got a Call from B. Bates said she could increase traffic to my new web site. I thought I would give this a try. I was not going to be charged UNTIL the campaign was over. So I gave my CC number, I know DUMB right. Right off the bat they charged me $45.00 twice, I complained and they removed the charge. NOBODY mentions when they sign you up they have all the automatic add ons, YOU did not sign up for them BUT they want you to pay for them. I decided I would give the Young Lady another chance and asked her to email me. I noticed she was new on the job, so maybe she was unaware the charges would happen instantly. She called me and when I said I want these charges I did NOT authorize then she tried to talk over me. I am the Customer here, I hung up. I do not want to deal with Unprofessional Folks whom say one thing and do another. I immediately went to my yelp account and noticed I was signed up for all this other options I HAD NOT AGREED TO. I canceled them. I had the 2 charges of $ 45.00 removed, now as of May 28, 2026 I noticed a charge on my CC for $ 14.62. I called and was put on hold for 25 minutes then hung up. I tried to email, crickets, I tried to call again. Finally, I was able to get through, the young Lady said I used those services for 2 days and I must pay for them. This company is so deceptive and their tactics are NOT condusive to any positive working relationship between a Business Owner and a Vendor. I will NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. I should of done my home work first before I gave out my CC #. I have disputed the charge and I will cancel my card so they cannot erroneously charge for anything else. Please do not trust them.

I rarely write reviews like this

I rarely write reviews like this, but I feel other small business owners need to hear my experience.

I was persuaded by Yelp’s advertising representatives with promises that paid ads would bring a significant increase in real customer orders. I was told the visibility would translate directly into business growth. Instead, what I received was a flood of spam phone calls, inquiries that were not legitimate customers, and absolutely no meaningful increase in actual orders.

On top of that, my page began receiving unfair ratings from people who were never my customers. Despite raising concerns, there was little to no support in addressing these questionable reviews. As a small business owner, your reputation is everything, and watching it be impacted without proper recourse is incredibly frustrating.

Meanwhile, the advertising charges continued to accumulate, leaving me with a large balance and no return on investment.

I feel misled by the sales promises and unsupported when issues arose. This experience has not only been costly financially but damaging to my business reputation.

I strongly encourage other small business owners to proceed with extreme caution before committing to Yelp advertising.

Yelp is a complete and utter SCAM

Yelp is a complete and utter SCAM. They steal money from companies for completely useless ad-spend, and then remove the companies reviews once they stop using their services. Why do ANY companies reference this platform!

If I could leave a negative five star, I would!

If I can leave a negative five star, I would! All yelp is, is the leech that sucks the blood out of every contractor they sign up. There is no vetting process for the contractors that they suggest to unwitting homeowners. If you're a homeowner and you're using yelp to get a verified contractor I would be very, very careful. Yelp is free for contractors to sign up and there's no vetting process whatsoever. They just make money off of the backs of hardworking contractors. Unfortunately, the only way to find a good contractor when you need work done on your home is to do the vetting process yourself, don't say I didn't warn you....

I submitted a request for bids on YELP…

I submitted a request for bids on YELP and I got only one reply and that was doubled the price that I received from another fencing company not on YELP. I posted my experience on YELP about the YELP recommended vendor, and they deleted it. Why? don’t know except that they didn’t like the fact that I noted my experience was less then satisfactory. So to make it clear to the reader here I had 1800 feet of wire fence to be put up. All brush and old fencing materials was removed and ground graded. So my complaint isn’t about the bid variance ($4.00 a foot versus $10.00 a foot), but how YELP handled the review. I will never use YELP again.

I’m so irritated

I’m so irritated. I thought if I used Yelp, I might have better luck acquiring a high quality business to get my garage door repaired. To my astonishment, I felt I was getting scammed. First, I was inundated with potential spam calls. Then one guy came to the door and portrayed himself as a member of another company and did a very good job of it.

Fortunately, I decided to contact the company that I made the appointment with to confirm because I found out he was not part of their team. I told him to stop what he was doing, take his stuff and leave. I was not paying. Luckily about that time, the gentleman I actually had the appointment with arrived.

I’m not using Yelp again.

Yep is one of the worst companies

Yep is one of the worst companies. Because we do not pay them. They high the positive ads and they show the negative ads. 100% of negative reviews will make it into the profile. And only 10% of positive reviews will make it to the profile.

Yelp allows fake reviews

Yelp allows reviews from people who are not even customers. There is no way to get these removed.
Your competitors can post fake negative reviews about you and they stick. You can buy positive reviews from companies that offer that service. However, they can also post negative reviews when you cancel their service. Yelp is not a good source for accurate reviews.

WOW, do not recommend using Yelp

WOW, same as what others are saying on the other Trustpilot reviews about Yelp. You can't even give Yelp a review on Google for some reason. We had just started with them. Gotten a customer from our page, did the work, the customer was highly satisfied and wrote a great review. One day later they took it down! Totally unacceptable as we live in a society where people deserve to know how you are as a business and we are very thankful when our customers take the time to share their experience so others can see. I have the text conversations with Yelp asking about how they removed the review. They blame it on the software that governs their review system process and they refuse to reinstate the valid, true, real customer review! Its crazy because its bad for their business and ours too, makes no sense, DO NOT recommend using YELP. There is nowhere to post it here but I have a picture I took of the review because we were excited as it was our first since paying for Yelp's service, so I have that too if you need to see it.

Really annoying

Really annoying. I left a review for a company (it was negative) and Yelp kept contacting me about whether I wanted to leave it up. Obviously the business had complained, but surely it's up to Yelp to decide whether to leave the review or not rather than pestering people incessantly about it. They then took it down because I stopped responding after four or five emails.

Deck and Drive (D&D Construction) paver installation

Our experience with Deck and Drive (D&D construction) has been extremely disappointing. From the start, the work was full of mistakes, poor workmanship, and almost no communication. Pavers were installed in the wrong direction and wrong colors, the walkway was placed incorrectly, cement was left exposed, no underlayment was installed under the sand (so now we have weeds growing up through our pavers), and then they even installed pavers over an active sprinkler head. They repeatedly missed appointments, sent crews during all-day rain (so no work could be done on those days), and ignored our requests for basic protection around our home.

Before D&D even started our project, they told our finance company it was "substantially complete," and they tried to collect full payment. Then later, despite the project being nowhere near complete, D&D again told our finance company it was "substantially complete" and tried to collect full payment.

Due to the lack of progress, the quality concerns, and D&D's refusal to provide a corrective plan in writing, we no longer felt comfortable allowing them to continue. In response, D&D placed a lien on our home and threatened foreclosure. To protect ourselves, we felt forced into having to hire an attorney to try to rectify all the issues. We have now been in this lawsuit for well over a year, with pallets and sand still blocking our driveway, and our front entrance is still not fully usable.

Based on our experience, we can not recommend Deck and Drive (D&D Construction). This review doesn't even represent all of the issues we have with D&D in regard to our project. There are so many issues, we can't even write them all in this review.

Instead of addressing legitimate concerns and correcting their mistakes, they chose to pressure, misrepresent progress, and ultimately sue and threaten to foreclose on their customers. We are not the only customers to be involved in a lawsuit against D&D. We are #5.

Deceptive Billing Practices and Impossible Customer Service

Headline: Deceptive Billing Practices and Impossible Customer Service
Rating: 1/5 Stars
I am beyond frustrated with Yelp’s predatory billing practices. I signed up for a free trial with the clear understanding of the cancellation period, yet Yelp charged my credit card over $200 days before the trial was actually set to expire.
When I reached out to dispute this, they flat-out refused to issue a refund. To make matters worse, despite being assured that my account would be downgraded to a "free" status, I discovered additional unauthorized fees on my latest credit card statement. This is nothing short of fraudulent charges being pushed through without consent.
Trying to resolve this is a nightmare. I’ve attempted to remove my credit card information from my account, but the system makes it impossible to do so manually. When you try to call for help, expect to sit on hold for over an hour. I have yet to actually reach a human representative.
I’ve since looked at the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and realized I’m not alone; this seems to be a standard, deceptive practice for them. Furthermore, on the rare occasion you do get through to someone, you're met with an over-sensitive staff that is more interested in making excuses than fixing their billing errors.
Save yourself the headache and the money—stay far away from their "free" trials. It is a trap designed to drain your account with no way to opt-out.

Yelp only posts negative reviews and…

Yelp only posts negative reviews and hides the positive ones. They don't give the person who is reviewed the chance to respond and it hurts businesses. They pop up a year later. They asked us to pay to do business with them once and we refused. I would never do business with a sketchy company that only post negative reviews almost to bully people into using them. Not honest at all!!!
