“Scam! Amazon charges, suspends your account, and leaves you worried about your card details”

My experience with Amazon has been terrible. I paid for a subscription and as soon as they received the money, they suspended my account automatically.
When I contacted them, they simply confirmed that my account would remain suspended.

The worst part is that they completely ignore the refund. They never answered when or if I would get my money back for a service that I never received.

This is a scam: Amazon takes your money, blocks your account, and refuses to refund you.
I strongly advise against using Amazon, especially if you travel or use a prepaid card, because instead of helping customers they just shut you out.

I am unable to cancel the subscription…

I was unable to cancel my subscription due to a system bug — the OTP could not be delivered to my phone number. On top of that, reaching customer support from Ukraine is nearly impossible. At the same time, Amazon continues serving Russian customers, which I find unacceptable.

The support I did manage to reach was unhelpful, and the cancellation process lacks clarity. This will be my last experience with Amazon’s products.

Amazon Prime con saying I can watch several films and the films are not available

Ok, so I search for movies to include Little House on the Prairie and Amazon pops up stating there are 3 films you can watch with Amazon Prime. I sign up to Amazon Prime and search for the films I want to watch and they are unavailable! What a total con. I’ve paid £8.99 for something that is useless! I want my money back but there’s no way I can find to get a refund as the advertised films are not available!

I've already paid for Prime and now they want more

I've already paid for Prime. And now they want more money, or they're going to show you really annoying videos at key moments in what you're watching.

The intention is to spoil your viewing so much, you give in and pay the extra to have no adverts.

Much like most streaming services you…

Much like most streaming services you want more money to stop showing ads! Doesn’t the general public pay you enough? As much as ads make you. You will lose the equivalent of customers! You’re a joke!

Charges for seasons that follow!!

Watched the first season of “Keeping Faith” and when I go to the second season they want me to get a free trial for Acorn. I don’t want Acorn. We should be made aware of this before we watch the first season!!! What a waste of my time. Of course if they told us we probably wouldn’t watch it. It’s just bait!!!!

Disappointed with Amazon Prime Delivery

I am extremely frustrated with Amazon Prime delivery. Even though Prime promises next-day delivery, my packages often arrive very late in the evening, around 9 PM, which is completely inconvenient.

To make matters worse, most packages arrive damaged, open, or appear to have been tampered with, showing a complete lack of care from the delivery service.

What is even more frustrating is that Amazon does not allow customers to leave negative reviews about their delivery service on their own website, which prevents honest feedback from being shared.

Amazon needs to improve their delivery punctuality, package handling, and transparency, or Prime delivery is completely useless.

ITs a scam

They scam you. I have cancelled my subscription a long time ago, and they still charge me monthly. And theres no customer service you can get in touch with outside of the US, so they svindle you for money. If you search for help you go through a hamster wheel not getting anywhere! I want my money back!

The pernicious greed of Amazon

I pay £8-99 per month for Prime plus £2-99 for ad free. Increasingly I'm starting a serial that is included with Prime, only to find that at least one of the episodes has to be paid for, usually through an additional subscription. The film Little Dorrit, for example, is in two parts. Part one is free to watch with a Prime subscription, but part two has to be purchased at £6-99 or rented at £2-49 (a so-called special offer!). Similarly, Halifax Retribution is free to watch with a Prime subscription until episode 7 (out of 10). This can only be watched by adding an Acorn subscription at £4-99. The episodes are not self-contained. This is a serial; without this episode, watching the rest is pointless but it's not evident that this episode has to be paid for until you're already watching the series and well into it. This amounts to tricking customers into paying extra. I won't be continuing to subscribe to Amazon Prime. Excessive greed loses the company customers.

Amazon Prime Video Shittification

Amazon Prime Video is systematically going through the service shittification process. Now that all of the market share has been captured and no growth is possible, they are steadily making the experience worse for users to push towards premium tiers that did not exist before.

It used to be no ads, and cheaper. Then ads between episodes. Now , without an additional premium, there are THREE ADS DURING AN EPISODE of 45 minutes.

If it was possible to unsubscribe from this and reduce the cost of prime delivery, it would be absolutely worth it, as by now it has reached the level of "awful" service, similar level to cable television.

The latest joke

I've been a subscriber since the beginning. Making people pay extra for ad free is ridiculous. Simple bs to make bezos catch up to Elon at the cost of us. I already pay a subscription fee to avoid it. Thanks for wrecking the last good streaming service. I'm done with greed. And where has top gear gone? And don't delete this one.

Prime video .

Well thier updated thier prime video and now got Audio description on
Witch is a very good thing for the visible impaired
But unfortnaly thier have lost the zoom so you only get half a picture on prime video on Android systerm
But on Apple ios 18 6.2 you got no Audio desciption but you got full picture
My complaint is live chat and customer services are no help what so ever
You have to explain on live chat then half way through coverstion you get someone else and have to start over again
So thier tell you to ring for them to tell you nothing thier can do but only give them your feed back
Instead of trying to help you bye giveing the information to tec guys or someone who can help
So this is why am writeing this review so hopefully some one from amazon maybe a tec guy might read it and get a update to fix prime video on both systerms.

Lack of accessibility… many programmes have no subtitles

Most of the films have to be purchased in addition to your subscription. Added to that they then use adverts on a subscription service, results in one or two things worth watching if you can handle paying to watch adverts.
Deliberate misrepresentation of service, as free subscription does not play any adverts, or mention additional Charge above subscription is needed for advert free viewing.
Cancelled subscription as soon as we became aware of hidden charges as really not worth it.
Amazon not bothered about persons with accessibility needs as many programmes have no subtitles which would cost very little to do, and in this day and age such neglect is disgraceful.
