I wish I could give a zero

I wish I could give a zero! I’m really disappointed of Amazon Prime Video as I still got charged on my credit card bill after 3 months I unsubscribed it!! And none of your CS could help me, they gave an excuse because their limit until Australia! Why do you open your Amazon Subscription up to Indonesia, meanwhile you don’t have any access for my country?!!! Come on Amazon!!! I thought your service was amazing! But, USELESS in fact! I want a REFUND! But no one could help me! Train more for your service, Amazon!!!

Just signed in for amazon prime

Just signed in for amazon prime, 2 days later my account is blocked for suspicious activity.
I receive an email from "account-alert@amazon" with a phone number to call in the states
Living in Europe this has a cost.
On the other line I found myself being handled by a robot, he just ask questions and you answer them for him to continue then at the end he apologize not to give you a satisfaction answer and rerun the questions. I just want to be connected to a person or the Account Change department as Email from them stipulates it to regain access. I decide to phone a n° found on internet 001 206 577 1364 and I got a gentleman on the phone but after a few questions he hangs up. Surprised I try to find an Email address on google and found several and send an email to all of them (some worked some not)
After 4 days, no answer received and one of the was "cs-escalations@amazon" but no answer from them as well. With escalation in it you believe it should be handled fast but nope
So as I'm frustrated, I phoned back to the number above and had a lady fixing my problem but she had no clue why my account was blocked two days after signing up and she apologies
Since I phone from Europe to the united states I used around 30 € to settle this problem not even caused by me
Did amazon get's money like this ? by blocking customers account and having us phone them ?
When you count it it's a year subscription out of my bank account for unblocking my account that amazon blocked. How can someone be happy with a situation like this. Horrible customer service and don't call the robot on N° 001 206 922 0880 he is not helpful and will get you nuts

Watching a TV show, and it's ads after ads. Rubbish way to treat customers who PAY.

Watching the Big Bang Theory, and very soon after it starts, or just before, I got 1 of 2 adverts, with the first at 1min 5 seconds.

Part way through 2 more adverts.
There was a time when on Streaming services, if you paid, you got it adfree. Or you could go for a cheaper option that had limited ads.

Amazon decided, let's not go for a cheaper option - lump the ads on the customers who pay now, and make them pay MORE, to get rid of them.

Dreadful way to treat existing customers.
Show they have little to no respect for us.

I can't cancel Amazon Prime payments…

I inadvertently accepted Amazon Prime on a purchase about a year ago and have been trying to get the payments cancelled since but with no success. They say they have cancelled it but the payments keep getting taken from my bank account. As far as I am concerned it is a total rip off. Disgusting company. Don't touch them. I don't buy anything through Amazon since, only through eBay.

Nonsense

I just wanted to watch one TV series. First of all, there are no subs (How?) and then, even if you subscribe, you realize that you have to pay extra because of whatever, there is a prime and there seems to be an other programme.

All those services are scam, and I am not surprised why people just stop giving money to these services (similarly Netflix which came up with an genious idea of having a subscription with ads egh how?) and rather go to grey zone somewhere.

Unfortunately, whole entertainment turns into a one big comedy. I visited a cinema after 2 years and watched 30 (!) minutes of ads.

leider sehr schlecht geworden

Ich bin ein Amazon-Prime-Video Kunde seit über 10 Jahren. Schön waren die Anfangszeiten von Amazon Prime Video, mit guten Serien, viel Auswahl und natürlich das auch alles werbefrei. Ähnlich wie damals Amazon Prime Music, was auch nicht mehr erträglich ist, in der freien Nutzung. Seit einigen Jahren ist die Entwicklung von immer mehr Streamingdiensten rasant gestiegen und Amazon Prime Video verliert aus Lizenzgründen immer mehr gute Serien und teils Filme. Und hier kommt nun das Zusammenspiel: Gute Serien und Filme verschwinden, Werbeunterbrechungen werden alle 10 Minuten eingeblendet und die Abo-Preise steigen. Ein werbefreies Abo kommt bei der miserablen Auswahl nicht infrage und selbst das günstigste Abo mit so viel Werbung und der schlechten Auswahl ist nicht zu gebrauchen. Daher werde ich nach 10 Jahren mein Abo bei Amazon Prime Video kündigen und mir Filme/Serien wieder auf Blu-ray kaufen oder es einfach mal nicht schauen.

I've been an Amazon Prime-Video customer for over 10 years. The early days of Amazon Prime Video were great, with good series, lots of choice and, of course, all ad-free. Similar to Amazon Prime Music back then, which is also no longer bearable in free use. For some years now, the development of more and more streaming services has increased rapidly and Amazon Prime Video is losing more and more good series and sometimes films for licensing reasons. And this is where the interplay comes in: good series and films are disappearing, ad breaks are being shown every 10 minutes and subscription prices are rising. An ad-free subscription is out of the question with the miserable selection and even the cheapest subscription with so many ads and the poor selection is useless. Therefore, after 10 years I will cancel my subscription to Amazon Prime Video and buy movies/series on Blu-ray again or simply not watch them.

Not at all worth the money

They added commercials to prime video even though we already paid for use. We put up with the ads for a few months but after they started advertising content that was inappropriate for our kids, we pulled the plug. We even let them know about our experience before we ended our membership and they didn't care or do anything.
We have gone without prime for about 6 months, and regret nothing.

Does the Prime subscription have value for your needs.

I have had Amazon Prime for years, I took Prime in the first place for the faster delivery times etc.

But there streaming service, this is not the best and has a lot to be desired over other services.

CONS.
1. You pay for Prime membership and the right to use the streaming service, but this does not open all content. A lot of series you need to pay per episode or per season to watch, New release films cost extra to watch, nearly all the content costs you extra. Other channels also cost extra (Paramount+ etc).

2. It now has adverts, this can be annoying especially right in the middle of something you are watching.

3. Country language restrictions. I am British I should be able to watch everything in its native language or in English, when it has been made in that language especially. My prime is set to English, but still will stream instantly in German and some things cannot be changed to English even when the original language was English.

4. My mother has recommended something to me on Prime and for her in the UK it is free to watch, but me living in Germany has a cost to watch. Dont understand that 1 but it has happend. Or somthing my mother recommends will only stream in German when my mother is watching it in the UK in English and the program/series is dubbed to German from Englsih.

Pros.
1. Cheaper than other streaming solutions at only €89.90 for the year, approx. 7.50€ per month. but still costly when you must pay for everything inside it as well.

2. Other channels are available that have also good content (But again you pay extra for them Paramount+ for instance is 7,99€ per month).

So to sum up the Prime content is ok, some series on it are good and in the cost, Most of the time worth the money you pay. the content could be better and for the cost of a monthly subscription could contain more free content. Something like 1 premium film per month free or something to benifit the subscription payers. Overall not the best streaming service available, but with Prime you are also getting other services through postage of Amazon bought items.

Is it worth what you pay, to me with the amount of streamed TV my family watch and the amount of goods we shop online, the value is there. But it is for you to decide it you see the worth in the Prime subscription.

The postage side of the subscription, giving next day delivery and free delivery and returns is excellent, this can be read in my other review of Amazon.de.

The adverts ruined the video service

The adverts ruined the video service. I was paying the same amount before for no ads - hence streaming service - but they throw ads in now, for the same price, It is no longer a streaming service.

Amazon is out of touch with reality. I hope every prime customer goes elsewhere. Scumbags.

I enrolled in Amazon prime trial but…

I enrolled in Amazon prime trial but never used so decided to cancel. They have repeatedly tried to take payment despite saying they were sad to see me leave.. There is no one to chat with in anyway whatsoever. They do not have customer service just a loop that takes you back to the first page you started from despite asking do you want to speak to customer service. They even refunded me and 2 days later took another payment despite changing my bank card. If this is the future of ai we won't have a problem. I've ticked the box for trustpilot to notify them of my experience good luck to that I say hahaha

Prime Video Faults

Long-term prime customer. Took out the Paramount + subscription through prime. New episode of series out today. States "not available in your location". Called customer services and are absolutely useless, keep asking what make of TV I have despite everything else working and having same message on my PC. Ridiculous!!! So close to cancelling my prime membership, and also the Paramount+ one!

Cancelled in December 2023

Cancelled in December 2023. Amazon emailed me a cancellation confirmation but they continued to take payments EVERY MONTH since I cancelled. I have emailed them repeatedly but they still keep taking payments.

Getting worse and worse.

I’ve been with Prime Video from before it started when it was Love Film. It’s slowly got worse. The content has been getting progressively worse. Now it’s just full of low budget crap films with the odd watchable one. To add insult to injury I pay a subscription to watch adverts. Unless there’s a serious turn around I’ll be cancelling after 20 years subscribing. It’s time to check out what else is on offer out there..

Not enough content ...

I was a client for a few months, mainly just to watch "Star Trek Picard". There is very little new content and for some reason, I can only watch a large part of the English content in French! How can this happen? Maybe Prime is an idea for the holiday season, but not any longer then that.

Garbage, Low Grade, Video Streaming Quality on Amazon Prime Video

I have finally given up on Amazon Prime Video. I have cancelled my Prime subscription and have replaced it with Disney +
and Apple TV. Both these streaming apps provide reliable, stunningly high quality video streaming and are fit for the 21st century, unlike Prime, whose degraded, low quality, sub VHS video streaming is totally unacceptable in 2024. I have already reached out to Prime customer service with regard to the ongoing poor quality video streaming issue and was told that Prime have been "aware of the issue of poor quality streaming on Prime for some time" and that "customers should bear with Prime" whilst Prime tries to work out a "software fix" to try and resolve this "ongoing technical problem". Prime offered me a discounted Prime subscription which I immediately rejected. I explained to Prime that there was no point in me paying Prime to provide me with a seriously low quality video streaming service which was also unreliable. Prime could not offer to me any reasonable timeframe in which they anticipated introducing a software fix to eliminate this longstanding, ongoing, problem. In my personal experience, even when Prime is working properly the video streaming quality of Prime UHD/4K is noticeably far inferior to that of Disney+ or Apple TV who always seem to provide stunningly good video streaming quality even with poor quality archive films/TV material. I should add that I own a new, top-end LG TV and that my broadband service is a fibre optic (FTTP) 500 MBPS broadband connection. In addition, everything is connected with high quality CAT 8 cables. I have previously repeatedly deleted and redownloaded the latest version of the Prime Video app and re-set everything but the appallingly low quality video streaming stubbornly persists. I live very close to London and my whole area was completely re-wired by BT Openreach from top to bottom with glass/FTTP a few years ago. I have never previously encountered any low quality video streaming issue or any reliability problems whatsoever from the Disney+, Apple TV or Netflix streaming apps. In particular, Disney+ and Apple TV regularly send updates to support their video apps. I rarely receive any updates for the Amazon Prime Video app, no doubt another ongoing cost cutting measure by Amazon. The issue of low quality video steaming appears to be solely limited to the Amazon Prime Video streaming app.

Why would I pay more money not to see…

Why would I pay more money not to see ads on Z list films? The quality of the films on offer is now truly appalling.
I refuse point blank to watch films with ads so I am now ignoring 'prime' video and just watching Netflix.
What has happened to Amazon?
Video.. dreadful 'free' films full of ads
Delivery.. completely hit and miss now (has been for a while) with completely useless 'tracking'.
Customer service.. dreadful, just read from a script and don't really answer actual questions.
Maybe instead of blasting your money into orbit with super rich tourists spend some of it on the company that earned you the money in the first place!
