If I could give 0 stars I would. I was actually scared to fly on their planes after so many technical faults. On our outbound flight to Guernsey they couldn't start the plane. We ended up being delayed more than 24 hours and stranded in Jersey after our connecting flight left without 7 of us. Returning home yet again 3 hours delayed due to technical faults. The planes are shabby and old looking and the staff give absolutely no information. Once they had fixed the fault the flight just took off with no warning. Some people were still standing and had no seat belts on. I have never taken a flight with Blue Islands that hasn't been delayed. On trying to talk to a representative, it took 20 minutes waiting on the phone to be treated condescendingly. I will never fly with this airline again and they have given me a fear of the reliability of aircraft.
Just don’t
Just the last straw of trying to use and support this airline. They have proved useless and uncaring too many times now for us and many family and friends.
Expensive and unreliable- now doubting safety as well and insulted that they hide behind being a jersey company to avoid paying any compensation for ruined journeys, in addition to be being uncontactable apart from Mon to Fri 1000-1600
Will not use any more and surprised they haven’t gone bust - yet. No doubt due to hefty subsidy from CI governments
Blue Islands cancelled our flight back…
Blue Islands cancelled our flight back to Southampton only a few hours before our flight was due to depart. They offered us a flight the following day with no help on accommodation or transport. We took the offer to fly back to Exeter instead the same day and made our own way back to Southampton. We have since learnt that Blue Islands aren’t UK or European based so you aren’t covered for any costs incurred when they cancel flights. Knowing that we wouldn’t use again. Beware.
You can get your money back!!!
We posted a review in May about this awful company but we have persisted emailing them and 3 months later despite them quoting EU regs at us we eventually got our flight money back!!! So persistence won!
Shambolic as usual
If I could give it zero I would have had to use this company regularly due to family issue off the 8 times in the past 3 month I have used this company it has only taken off on time including first flight they even admit plane shortage if you read the home page but continue to offer full schedule services knowing that as jersey is out of the eu they don’t have to pay compensation and just say take it up with your credit card company, they consistently cancel the lifeline flights ie jersey Southampton route all the time where as this should have priority status but never appears to but very little in the way of compassionate thought or care is given but that is the lot of a local provider exploiting people in a bind I guess
Every flight has been at least 3 hours late! awful company
This was my second flight with Blue Islands and they are utterly hopeless - don't go with them, just not worth the incredible hassle when there is another airline doing the same route for only a bit more cost and much more reliably.
Last time from Southampton to Jersey was 2 hours delayed (no compensation or apology offered). This time was from Bristol to Jersey and 3 hours delayed! They didn't send any emails or sms to let us know in advance, even though they knew it would be 2.5 hours late an hour before we even came to check in! Utter swines.

No compensation because they are outside the EU/UK so EU261/2004 and UK 261 do not apply to them. Will NEVER fly with them again. Local people /taxi drivers we spoke to all said its a disastrous airline.
This airline is a disgrace
This airline is a disgrace, both our outbound and inbound flights to Guernsey/Southampton were cancelled at very short notice. We were at check-in when the return flight was cancelled. Appalling customer service, no staff to speak to, Aurigny staff left to deal with their s**t. Operational difficulties? Then spend some money on decent aircraft. Always used Flybe in past, never a problem, never had a flight cancelled, PLEASE COME BACK!! Will never use Blue island again.

As we were waiting to go through departure lounge for our holiday to Jersey we were Informed that the flight was cancelled due to maintenance issues and to rebook on the next flight which was in 3 days time Lol !

Sad deterioration in service
Delayed flights, no customer service due to sickness. No notice of flight changes.
Poor communication.
No empathy.
They are having difficulties maintaining their schedules at the moment, keep an eye on their website for delays and cancellations as these do not feed through to the airport promptly.
Cabin crew are excellent BTW.
Worst Airline EVER!
Having read the awful reviews for this shambles of a company, I will add mine. Three day break in Jersey for a birthday celebration. The plane out from Southampton was 30 mins late leaving due to a ‘technical issue’. Turned out 30 mins was a luxury!! Returned to the airport today for our 1350 flight. Checked in, said goodbye to luggage, and by the time we had walked through security a half hour delay was posted. This then increased in half hourly slots until, eventually, the flight was cancelled. No explanation, no-one to talk to! Managed to re-book on line for the 1750 flight but had to reclaim baggage, leave the departure area and dash across to book back in for the later flight. Our travelling companions, who had no email access, hadn’t been able to re-book on line were too late and could only be offered a flight the following morning. As previously states, this airline are not members of the compensation rules so it is your own responsibility to find accommodation nd pay for it. The Swissport staff are left to deal with all this carnage and told me they are dealing with cancelled and delayed Blue Island flights on a daily basis and cannot even speak to anyone at the airline as they have blocked their number! Anyway, we said goodbye to our very upset travelling companions and re-entered security. By the time we got through security, the blasted flight was marked as delayed! It eventually took off, after a very hurried no-notice gate allocation and very rushed boarding, at around 1845. In that time, we received NO updates or information at all. This company are operating flights that usually depart late if at all and should be avoided at all costs! It has certainly taught me to use ferries and trains in the future. Avoid using Blue Islands at all costs.
Try EasyJet. Or swimming. Just not BlueIslands
Genuinely the most frustratingly poor service one can imagine. They appear to operate an 'airline' with an insufficient quantity of aircraft. Worse, they are entirely invisible in terms of customer service. They field precisely no staff at the airport, hiding behind Swissport who's staff have to bear the brunt of customer disappointment. It would appear on the surface to be a textbook example of what happens when an effective monopoly meets with zero financial implications for poor/failed/nonexistent service. They happily explain on the website that as neither a UK or EU carrier they essentially have zero obligations to you as a customer. One wonders if the Gov of Jersey might have an interest in reviewing this arrangement, as it more than sufficient to put me off of returning.
Do not book with blue islands
Worst airline ever flight you Jersey from Bristol delayed by 2 and half hours planes are filthy also return flight was cancelled an hour and half after the flight was due to tske off. This airline should be shut down, there is no comeback on them if they cancel your flight as they are no longer come under eu law. The planes are old and constantly breaking down and they csn not get the parts to repair the planes ehen they break down. I will not be travelling to any of the channel islands again unless a different airline is available

I would give this company 0 stars if I could. Avoid them like the plague. Flights cancelled and moved to a different airport on different days. Impossible to contact them by phone or email. Am determined to get deposit refunded. DO NOT USE.

We booked into the airport hotel the night before, to be there early and check out and basically get straight on the plane to leave to make it a stress free time, to now find out that we will now have to check out and sit around for 8 hours waiting for our flight!!!!!
We have also paid for extra parking now!!!
And also the loss time on the rental car!!!
We have wasted so much money now, so thank you very much for ruining a once in a lifetime birthday present!!!

I would rather you just fold and go out of business tbh, save us a lot of stress, so we can claim on our insurance and start over again with a decent airline!!!

Been years since I use to fly every week back and forth from uk to jersey. Started again now.
First flight 5 hours late, arriving 1am at jersey and there aren’t taxis.
Second flight 4 hours late so far.
1 star because so far flights still happen for me, but some had Birmingham flight cancelled, spent half a day travelling to another airport for that plane to then be 5 hours late.
I wonder if this business can survive.

Plane always delayed between guernsey and jersey they make you wait hours and hours at the airport they don’t send email out to inform people about the delays sometimes they make people wait and wait for 5 hours then cancel flight . No one wants to come to guernsey because of blue island you never know f you will leave on time or cancel flight then never tell you till you go to the airport check in
