Use blue islands to fly from…
Use blue islands to fly from Southampton to jersey at least once a year and has always been really good and so quick! Went last year and we were delayed back by 2 hours but lots of areas to wait at the airport so not a problem. This week we had no delays at all and all very quick. Always easy to get to the airports and checking in etc. The flights are always super quick and no issues. Having had problems going by condor ferries and it taking so long we will always fly with blue islands.
Cancelled flight coming back only via…
Cancelled flight coming back only via email had the notice and via the app told me nothing. Going the flight was delayed so had to book another day so l could get back. Coming back was all good and on time. The flight was very noisy inside the cabin both ways not sure if that's the norm?
Awful Airline ...avoid!
Only book of you're happy to stay over for an extra few nights at cost due to cancelled flight. No explanation, no notice, just collect your luggage and get out the airport! Two days before you can return home, no compensation and no assistance, you can't even stay in the airport overnight as it closes and they throw you out, so if you have money to throw away and time to spare, risk it, if not pay extra with another airline and get home when you plan!
BE WARNED OF CANCELLATIONS
Flights booked 8-15 July to Jersey from Birmingham. Outward flight ok - return HORRENDOUS!!!! Cancelled with giving us no notification - only found out when arriving at airport for 1240 flight to notice flight not on departure board. Offered flights to MUNICH and IRELAND: eventually flew to Bristol where all trains were cancelled for maintenance. Had to pay £220 for taxi to Birmingham. Blue Islands won’t pay anything as they say they are not covered by EU ruling!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!
Delays and erratic flying
Departure delay from Southampton at 1535 on 6.7.23 not announced until after check in time.
Return flight delay at 1900 on 9.7.23 due to inept check in staff recording 42 bags checked in total vs only 31 on plane. Flight then took off late and pilot flew erratically to make up time. A horrendously fast, steep and banking descent into Southampton was unnerving. Air crew member said it was the fastest he had ever experienced on a Southampton outbound from Jersey
Isle of Wight Festival
We have come back from a festival today, and there were problems with the ferries, leading us to miss our flights. We thought it was going to cost so much more money to re book, but with the help of the staff (one lady on service desk at Southampton, and the other 2 called Maria (one booking the flight, and the other on checking desk) we didn't pay over the odds. We want to thank them all again, and to say they are a credit to Blue Islands. Make sure you keep them employed!!!
Terrible Customer Service
If I could give zero, I would.
One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
Delayed then cancelled flight. Hid behind constant excuses, took nearly 7 weeks to reimburse costs.
Fabulous bumpy flight
On a dreadful stormy day, my 7yr old grandson and I needed to get to guernsey to see my sister. With the ferry cancelled thankfully we took to the skies and booked our flight with Blue Island. Due to the dreadful weather the airport was quiet and check in etc no bother. Waiting to be cancelled as I saw the weather close in, we were called to board. Hardly any passengers but Cpt Matthew Whitfield took time to explain it would be a bumpy ride for the last few minutes. He told us why, what he intended to do and all the science behind it. His enthusiasm and knowledge put the pair of us at ease. He wasn't wrong when we hit the storm and it felt like we began to fall out of the sky, my grandson face changed to horror but due to the info I was given, I was able to reassure him it was fine despite other passengers having a quick scream. When we pulled up and flew around again, Matthew told us what had happened and we would try again when the storm passed which we duly did. After landing he came out to reassure us all and check his passengers and team were all ok. He chatted to my grandson and made him feel very special.
Not many people these days leave a positive mark, but this gentleman surely did. The team were brilliant and I thank them for turning a truly awful few minutes into a privilege. My grandson loved the experience when it could have been so very different. Thank you.

My hubby was only going jersey to Southampton - daughter in tears waiting for dad to come home :(
Please can we have some competition for this joke of an airline !
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service - limited communication- all the effort and work was from the traveller
Not interested in helping when a bag went missing from Norwich to guernsey
A holiday without luggage for the whole week and only 75 paid which didn’t even compensate essential items purchased
Had to be chased up all the time

I tried to cancel a booking for a flight next year within hours of booking it. Told they never give refunds but they can cancel the tickets without compensation if I like!!!! Basically told writing to manger would be pointless avoid at all costs my fault should have read appalling reviews before booking.
Lost luggage claim
Travelled from Dublin to Jersey but bag never arrived. 60 days later and still waiting for it. They say a courier will be in touch. When I went to claim they said that I’m only entitled to £75 even though their terms and conditions state that if bag is missing for over 28 days it’s deemed lost and you are entitled to compensation of 1288 SDR. They are now saying if your bag was lost and then found it wasn’t actually lost! An absolute joke. Communication has been really limited also.
blueislands the unwelcome difference.
blueislands the unwelcome difference.
Return flight from Jersey to Southampton was cancelled with two hours notice. Offered flight the next day to Southampton which we did not take because we had no accommodation in Jersey for that night.
One star is too much
One star is too much. I have made a complaint told I would have a reply in 14 days. It’s now 16 days and heard nothing. Flight was cancelled had to get taxis to Southampton from Exeter. Then there were two further delays on Southampton. Arrived at my destination in Jersey 11 hours later. Had no food and lost a day of my holiday.
Awful awful awful
We were left to find our own way home from Guernsey to Bristol after a delay meant that we would miss our connecting flight from Jersey. No assistance whatsoever was offered, we requested to join a flight to Southampton instead and paid for a taxi from Southampton to Bristol (£148). We got back around 4 hours later planned, around 11pm. I then wasted many precious hours contacting customer services by phone and email before finally getting an response citing their policy of not offering any compensation in such circumstances. Thank God we didn't have kids with us, that would have been even more stressful. If you have the option of using any alternative airline, do that.
:well we must have been lucky after reading reviews
Well, we must have been lucky. Our flights were on time and they were ok with my disability needs. They did not treat my electric portable scooter that I need to take with me like it’s a ballistic missile which other carriers do or require GP letters certifying level of disability as Jet2 request. On p reading other reviews I suppose it must be luck if the draw but they are streets in front of Jet2 who are appalling in my experience in their treatment of the needs of a disabled traveller. I know they are short flights ( East Midland to Jersey ) but availability to buy water would assist. So for my OK experience
I give Blue Islands 4stars for my trip to Jersey 7/9/22
No special assistance
Flew from Norwich to Jersey. My wife needs mobility assistance so rang call centre weeks before departure and asked for seats near the exit. Was told "yes there are some reserved for this reason". Got to check in on the day and nothing booked-all given to others and nothing could be done. On our return no response from call centre only a suggestion that cabin crew could have moved other passengers to free up seats for us.

Left a group of ten 12 year olds and thier leaders stranded at 2am in Bournemouth, literally left kids on the streets for the night, these people are scum.
Terrible company
Terrible company. Poor customer service. How can you delay a flight by 3 hours and then cancel it just before it was about to take off leaving people stranded in Jersey at 9.30pm on a Friday evening trying to find accommodation.
