Our Philosophy

At Daylesford, we’re dedicated to growing, producing and cooking seasonal, organic food. It must be fresh, and full of flavour, packed with the many vitamins and minerals that come from natural food, picked and eaten at its peak.

As part of a mission to reverse the industrialisation of our food and the pollution of the land that nurtures it, we practise organic, sustainable framing with far less pesticides and herbicides on our crops. We do not use artificial growth promoters and hormones on our animals, and maintain the highest welfare standards.

Above all, we believe that when people eat natural, organic food, they can taste the difference. It’s a chain of goodness that begins with healthy soil, and finishes with healthy animals and people.

Our Farmshops

From high-quality larder staples to indulgent treats for special occasions, our farmshop shelves are full with fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables from our organic Market Garden, artisan bread made by hand in our own Bakery, award-winning cheese from our Creamery and fresh organic meat from clover-rich pastures.

Our Homewares collections are made by makers who are as passionate about sustainability, quality materials and elegant design as we are to create one-of-a-kind items for your homes and gardens, from the softest linens to the signature scents of our home fragrance range.

Our Cafés

Our organic cafés are the natural showcase for what we do on the farm. Here, our chefs make our produce the star of each plate, with seasonally changing menus and daily specials highlight what’s good to eat right now.

Shockingly poor customer service

I placed this order specifically for Easter, and the items were meant to arrive before it. On the scheduled delivery day, I received no update, no warning, and no communication of any kind. Only after I called was I told that the delivery was actually planned for the following Saturday — i.e. after Easter, when at least one of the items is completely pointless.

The explanation I was given was that because I ordered multiple items, I had not selected the option to have them delivered together. That option was certainly not made clear during the ordering process. But even setting that aside, what kind of system allows Easter items to be scheduled for delivery after Easter without flagging that this might be absurd?

What really turned this into a terrible experience, however, was the customer service. Instead of receiving even a basic apology, I was spoken to in a patronising and dismissive tone and told repeatedly — several times — that I should have selected the right option, as though the entire issue was simply my fault. No ownership, no empathy, no attempt to be helpful. Just a smug repetition of the same line.

Delays and ordering problems can happen. What is much harder to excuse is customer service that manages to be both useless and insulting.

A genuinely awful experience, made far worse by the attitude of the person handling it.

Products purchased all good and customer service

Products purchased all good
Customer service zero why are staff on personal phones at pay tills
Paid upstairs for home items - stood at till no queue the lady at till on phone . Waited for her to finish and look up . Went to garden area upstairs lady at till on phone.
Went to get cake no staff member at all. Went opposite to get one of the girls - 3 standing there and one on mobile phone!
Wow wish I got paid to use my mobile phone at work . High end shop and products , today no customer service .
Can’t be bothered to come back .

I recently discovered Daylesford…

I recently discovered Daylesford Organic online and purchased some food products and they were delivered perfectly packaged and were delicious. I was able to visit Daylesford Organic Shop and Garden room recently when I found that they do events and myself and husband booked and attended a conversation given by Sarah Raven and Jez Taylor Daylesford's head Gardener. We enjoyed exploring Daylesford beautiful and thoughtful Shops before the event in the evening. Had the most special and memorable day and look forward to visiting again soon. In the meantime I can order Daylesford online.

Product looks nothing like what I…

Product looks nothing like what I purchased on the website. Unfortunately, I have already been sent one replacement with the same issue. Clearly an issue with the imagery but still disappointing and not what you expect from Daylesford.

It all looks lovely

It all looks lovely, ordered the family meat option, £72. A whole chicken, breasts, sausages, mince, eggs, chops etc. It arrived, cold still and in insulating packaging. Sadly one of the eggs broke but what did I expect? The main reason I've brought from them is that they have their own slaughter house, so animals are stunned and also the meat is organic.

Prompt delivery of high quality…

Prompt delivery of high quality chocolate, wild bird modelled easter eggs that are a really nice Easter gift. Packaging was biodegradable and high quality keeping chilled products properly cold.

Church Barn…

WE used to live down the road from Daylesford for many years and Saturday morning breakfast was a usual stop for unfortunately we have relocated to Yorkshire and miss the atmosphere created by you. Staff. Having used your online ordering system found the quality of goods and service typical of what both my wife and come to expect from Daylesford thank you and well done. When in the Cotswolds again i am sure we will pay you a visit.
