Kcom appears to be spot on in service and equipment. From fitting the fibre connection to the setting up of the WiFi, it could not be bettered

Kerry rang me today to explain what she had done to sort out a billing problem I had on my account. What a lovely lady she is and my account has now been sorted. She explained what had happened with the account and said everything is now as it should be. Couldn’t fault her in any way, so thank you very much.
Regards, David Fenton.

If I could give zero stars I would! Came to the end of my contract and I was determined to move away from these people however got speaking to a really nice man who gave me a good deal, unfortunately this is where the service ended - with a sale and typical of KCOM.
Was told that the first month would include a refund as the price went down and it DOUBLED instead! Only way to complain was via an online form so I did that and then also contracted them via telephone to complain only to be told basically we don’t really care, this is the way we do things and it, I quote, should ‘right itself’! Mmm well thank you but you are withholding MY money that should be in MY bank account and was money that I needed!
These people operate in one of the most deprived areas in England and think it is ok to overcharge people as standard with no credible explanation or apology. It has been 2 weeks and I have not received so much as an acknowledgment or apology for their error. Also despite me asking 3 times I was never sent any information via email so that I could effectively change my mind and act within the cooling off period.
Due to no response I have escalated this to the communication ombudsman and I would advise anyone to stay well away from this company! They have abysmal service and absolutely no moral compass or care for their customers which is a bit of a joke as they pitch themselves as a’local company’ and as such should value their customers. Please go elsewhere if you do not want to be robbed and ignored. I will make my case with the Ombudsman as they are compelled to listen and investigate.

Dont Waste Your Time and Money
My parents, both in their 90's and vulnerable have been unable to receive calls for well over a week now. Unfortunately we live far away. I've called Kcom numerous times, left call examples, been called a liar, been told that there's nothing wrong with their line and that it rings out when it doesn't. They're still unable to receive calls over a week on. Shocking.
Edit: It turned out a kcom technician had accidentally left call forwarding on my parents line after a repair to their fibre optic cable. After over a week I eventually I got Oliver looking at it and he was extremely helpful in sorting this out - so thank you Oliver. But I still had to remotely guide my elderly parents though typing a code into their phone to fix the issue, it shouldn't have taken this long to find the fault and my parents have not been offered any compensation for the lack of service.

Easy to get through on the phone. Everything was explained easily and thoroughly by Tony. I'm not very technical but Tony explained everything and advised me which would be the best package for my needs

Kev S arrived early with his colleague and did a great job. They were professional, helpful, and explained in detail how to set up my Wi-Fi. I really appreciated Kev patience and clear instructions.

UPDATE: Thank you Ella. Your assistance in resolving this was greatly appreciated - you are a superstar.
The salesperson was great, the installation was fine and the installer was very pleasant however that is where it all ends. Part of the agreement to switch to KCOM was that they would cover the early termination fees from my then broadband supplier - I was told this would be seamless. All I can say is signing with them when you are out of contract seems ok but if they promise to cover the ETF, rather wait. It is just not worth the hassle.

I had to renew my contract and found Customer Service and Loyalty team members polite, helpful and informative - well done to Tony on the latter team. I also didn't have to wait an excessive time for my phone call to be answered nor go through reams of paperwork to renew - the whole process was simple and straightforward. The new contract met my needs and was a good price.

I had a few issues receiving broadband in my sitting room (this was an ongoing problem with my previous provider, BT). I was advised to buy a booster device from Amazon (the customer service adviser told me it would work out cheaper than renting one from KCOM). I did, and can now access the network in this room.
It was such a relief to be able to speak to a real person who was very capable and helpful. And I didn't have to wait long to be connected either.

⭐ 1 Star – KCOM: Leaving Is Harder Than Getting Connected!
KCOM broadband is a bit like playing the lottery, except you pay every month and rarely feel like you’ve won anything.
The speeds are hit and miss, the reliability is anyone’s guess, and when something goes wrong, you get to experience the delights of Eero technical support. A team who somehow manage to be even more confused about their own equipment than the customer calling them. By the end of the conversation, you’re considering offering them technical support.
Eventually, after paying good money for a service that seems to work whenever it feels like it, you decide enough is enough. You’re leaving!
Simple, right? Oh, you sweet, innocent fool.
KCOM then turns cancelling your broadband into a six-week endurance event. Apparently, escaping their services requires more planning than a military withdrawal, more patience than a saint, and possibly a solicitor.
And the grand finale? They can’t even tell you what your final bill will be! Six weeks to disconnect a broadband service, yet calculating what you owe is apparently beyond the capabilities of modern mathematics.
For a telecommunications company, communication certainly isn’t their strong point.
My advice? If you’re thinking of joining KCOM, don’t. And if you’re already with them and thinking of leaving, start the process now. You might be free by Christmas.
I’d give them zero stars, but unlike KCOM, Trustpilot actually has a minimum standard.
