Perfect food for my dog
The food is perfect for my dog who is very fussy. He likes his food cooked not raw so I choose the mince that you can cook and the powerballs and he eats every bit. His coat and teeth are beautiful. He gets complimented all the time when we are on our walks by strangers. He is a brindle staffy and he is 11 months old. Customer services are also excellent with queries

The worst company for customer service
Never in my entire life have I experienced such appalling service. Parcel delivered but not to my address. Was told to contact dpd to find out where it was and go and retrieve it. I’m unable to leave the house to do this and quite frankly it’s not my obligation to do that anyway. After the first person being beyond rude with me I had another call being told they will no longer accept any orders from me because I can’t go and retrieve parcels delivered to the wrong address and also because I’ve used too many discount codes with them - codes might I add that they email to me and their system accepts. Very short sighted business view considering the amount I have spent with them over the years and will be sure to spread far and wide my feelings on their shocking level of customer service. It really is no wonder business’ like this fail.
As people can see from other Reviews the response below is not indicative of how they deal with you directly. Any problem and they just ban you and are very very rude. They should also stop emailing and texting people discounts codes they then get aggrieved when used. They have a good product so I just hope they learn how to deal with people

Thank you for your review and we are sorry to hear that you’re disappointed. We also understand how frustrating delivery issues can be. Your parcel was accidentally delivered to your neighbour and you told us you were unable to leave the house or knock on a their door to collect it. Despite this, we issued a full refund, even though the parcel was not returned to us.
We know everyone is different. DPD does sometimes make mistakes when delivering parcels, and they are normally very quick to sort things out.
As a small business, we always aim to treat customers fairly, but we do need to protect ourselves from repeated losses. In this case, we identified four different profiles using discount codes at the same address. While we welcome the use of promotions where appropriate, our terms are designed to ensure fair access for all customers.
We hope you’ll appreciate the challenges of running a small business. That’s why we’re confident you’ll understand how important it is for a small team like ours to uphold sustainable pricing, especially if we’re to stay in business and remain profitable.
We wish you and Ziggy's Doggy Fashion well and hope you find a pet food supplier that better suits your needs.

The customer service is the best
The customer service is the best I've known. Always a swift reply and any issues sorted. My Cockapoo loves the food, she has always been a faddy eater and I constantly was trying to find a healthy food she would stick to. Since trying Poppys Pinic over a year ago now, there has been no need to worry any more. She tucks into her food quite happily, and her number twos are far more healthy. Good food but problems with deliveries
The food was good and my dogs enjoyed it, but the timing of deliveries and communications about it was often poor, in my case leading to some deliveries being left outside and spoiling. (These were cases where it was the dispatch that was later than originally promised, not because of courier delays).
At other times the courier left it at the site office despite instructions not to do so
These issues weren't helped by the relatively limited coolness of the box - other providers use cool packs.
I constructively suggest that they introduce a more rigorous way of telling customers if items have been dispatched later than they were originally promised.

We’re really glad to hear your dogs enjoyed the food. That’s always our number one priority. That said, we’re sorry to hear about the delivery frustrations as that’s not the experience we want anyone to have.
I’m sorry if our update emails didn’t reach you . You’re right to point out that clearer dispatch communication is important, and we’re currently reviewing how we manage updates, especially when something leaves later than initially expected.
Regarding DPD we’ve had generally positive experiences with them, but like all couriers, they occasionally fall short. Some drivers don’t always follow delivery notes, and understand how frustrating this is. We’re continuing to flag these cases directly with DPD to improve consistency. And you’re right — our packaging is constantly under review too. We’ve recently made upgrades to improve insulation, including dry ice and icepacks in the warmer weather.

Great quality raw food
I found Poppy's Picnic whilst looking for raw food for my cat and two kittens we have just adopted from Pawz for Thought. My cat is very fussy and I thought it would be more of a challenge than it was, but giving her half raw half normal food she wolfed it down, often eating the raw bits of food first. That was easy! The kittens love the raw food and I know it is full of nutrients for them to remain happy and healthy. The grass fed, free range and organic ingredients in some of the recipes swayed me to buy from Poppy's Picnic. I loved the follow up email to check how the raw food is going down. That was a nice touch. You can also save your packaging and send it back for free. Swift delivery and packaged well. I would highly recommend. Thank you!

Picky Eater Perfection
I’ve tried so many different dog foods for my 4-year-old Maltese, who is extremely fussy. Nothing seemed to excite him—until I tried Poppy’s Picnic. He lapped it up straight away with no hesitation! It’s such a relief to see him enjoy his meals now.
On top of that, their customer service is exceptional—friendly, responsive, and genuinely caring. You can tell they’re passionate about what they do. I feel confident feeding my dog something that’s clearly high-quality and made with love.
Highly recommended if you’ve got a picky eater!

Fantastic food & amazing customer service
My dog has a few food allergies and Poppy’s Picnic food has been awesome for him!
When I first cooked the Wild Boar, he would not move from my feet and the next morning ran down stairs so fast & sat under the worktop waiting 😂
Recently i realised the order would come when we were away so I wanted to bring it forward but couldn’t find the option to order on next day. I emailed them late one night & they very next morning had a lovely email back saying they had already placed it on a next day delivery FOC for me!!

Very misleading promotional emails
Very misleading promotional emails. This company tends to look after new sales compared to old customers. Rewards for existing customers doesn't exist. Paw points amount to absolutely nothing.

Great products awful customer service
Great products, awful customer service.
It looks like many people have already highlighted that products themselves are great (I order for my 2 cats) but customer service is unhelpful and rude. Unfortunately, this is the second time now trying to come to resolution with them, this time due to discount code and being dismissed despite clear screenshot of e-mails. Shame as otherwise the company is great!
*the review was updated to delete names as I was sent an e-mail from Poppy's Picnic stating that using someone's name is deemed as defamatory: 'Please remove my name with immediate effect otherwise I will report you to Trustpilot and your review will be taken down...Both libel and slander can harm a person's reputation and are considered legal offenses. It is important to be aware of the potential consequences of making false statements that can damage someone's character or standing in the community'. This e-mail felt rather threatening but the advise was followed and name was deleted*

Personal family feel & great food for our little boys!
We’ve recently switched to Poppys Picnic for our fussy boys. Mr Lou & Mr Rees!
We were chatting to Deborah when we had a few questions that went from an online chat to a phone call - I loved that it felt really personal and I felt valued as a customer.
Deborah went above and beyond and told me about where all of the ingredients came from it felt good to know what our boys were eating and even where they were coming from.. all local so not only do we have happy boys we are helping a small business who are also helping small businesses.. it feels like a nice circle to be part of.
The boys are loving the food I am finding they have lots more energy these days and nothing has changed apart from the food so it’s a WIN WIN for us!
As long as our boys love it we’ll be customers for life.
