The "manual" is useless

The "manual" is useless. The on line instructions don't show how to connect to the network, the 192.168 address times out. GoGo just sent me a link (which doesn't help) whenI asked for my money back.

Booster works, little challenging to set up

I'm not sure why all these people are having issues with this booster. Yes the instructions are not well written but with a little tenacity and persistence even I, a high school drop out, managed to get it to connect. I needed a booster to run my Furbo dog camera and so far this is working better than I had hoped for.

Bad Move,I bought 2 of these devices in December…

I bought 2 of these devices in December 2023. I could not make head nor tail of the installation guide so I had an IT expert help me get one of the two working, which it did until yesterday, 22 january 2024. After several hours of attempts I have given up with both of these units. My experience is so similar to many of the previous comments below.

This gadget is useless

This gadget is useless. WPS button method does not work. Supplied instructions are impossible to figure out. I contacted their support team and instructions provided for manual internet connection did not work. My several devices could not connect to their pix-link.net network, so forget about that option. They make you jump through endless hoops to get a refund. I had to settle for 30% refund without having to send back their p.o.s. gadget. I spent 86$ Cdn for this electronic landfill bound junk and got back 24$. Stay away from this company. Many other reviews state they are scammers and con artists. I now believe it.

They lied. It's not simple install. Nearly zero customer support, super long wait to speak with someone Same sentiments as other reviewers. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

STAY AWAY!

STAY AWAY!! SCAM!
WiFi booster doesn’t work it goes you instructions that do not work. Save your money and buy another booster!

When returning parcel I had to pay postage back to them (which I was fine doing) however they then deducted their own postage off the refund even though I posted it myself!

DO NOT BUY

Performance is not even close to the reviews and the advertisement!!
Support call none existent! Spent 6 hours on the phone (for the heck of it) listening to music and “Please hold while we connect you to the next available agent”. Never spoke to a tech.

Contacted support via e-mail for a refund.
Received an offer back:
“Instead of going through this hassle, we'd like to offer you a 20% refund of the total purchase amount you have paid for. You may then keep the product at your disposal.”
Shipping and handling $13.01 USD
Tax $5.32 USD
Total $78.22 USD
The 20% equals to $15.60

Covers the shipping plus change...
It is not about the money. Product performance and price .. one should be paid to be a tester!!
All the positive reviews you read online – FAKE.
Being doing IT for 30+ years now. Don’t know everything, but know a little!

I have had 2 ultraXtend devices

I have had 2 ultraXtend devices. The first didn't work at all. I complained and sent a video showing it not connecting with a cable to the router. One of the reasons I chose this device was they stated there was a support telephone number. It was not on the awful instruction leaflet and I've yet to find it online.
They did send a replacement and yippee it worked really well......for 2 months! I have just complained and asked for money to be returned but they say I have gone over 30 days and cannot receive a refund. However when I bought the first one I don't believe there was a 30 day restriction.
Not a happy customer 😒

Don’t waste your money

Something very fishy about the company. Ordered a WiFi booster- did not get a confirmation email with an order number. Near on impossible to contact them as the email bounced back.

Not fit for purpose

Not fit for purpose. Will do anything but refund.
Instructions are shocking.
Probably the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with.
Returned the product recorded delivery to the returns address on the original packaging. After notifying them and sending them photos of proof they email me and say I’ve broken terms of their agreement so no refund?
I’m now going to contact my card company for a refund.
BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Works perfectly fine for me

Works perfectly fine for me, set up with pressing the router and the button and done, I've seen the negative reviews but I have a very happy son now he had next to no connection in his room as its far away, currently downloading at full power and loving it, I seen the reviews after I had ordered it, it arrived the day before Christmas which was perfect ***** nothing suggesting to pay a fee or anything else exactly what it says

Don't waste your time or money

I just asked to return this product by calling their toll-free number (866) 300-8985. I would not recommend buying this -- just go to amazon.com and find a known brand. The instructions were horrible, and passwords did not work (were not even included in the tiny font instructions in the box). The setup.pix-link.net does not exist, and yes, they do offer you a 20% and then a 30% refund, and "you can keep the product." But why keep something that does not work!? I am going to give them a reasonable time ~2 weeks to refund my money (minus the shipping and handling and the shipping back to them at my expense). I feel robbed, and I intend to report them elsewhere.

Waste of Money

This is a truly appalling product and I hope people can be warned to avoid buying it. I'm very I.T. savvy but it took me several hours to get it to work. The instructions are tiny, written in poor English and expect knowledge that most people simply won't possess. When i finally got it working I could detect absolutely no increase in WiFi range. You're paying good money for a few flashing LED's - it does absolutely nothing else!

Total SCAM

First of all the instructions are awful (clearly not written by an English speaker) & don't work. It says something about linking to an SSID that does not exist. There is no phone number or website where I can ask for help. The email they sent with the order number says to visit their "help center" or "contact us" but neither of those options is clickable! This is a total scam & we are contacting our credit card co to dispute the charge.

NO RANGE AFTER SET UP

Set up was ok, but afterwards the range on the ultraextender was less than the main router. Total waste of money. I asked for a refund and they offered me $10 on a $50 purchase and "I could keep the ultraextender". Then they quit responding to emails. TOTAL SCAM. MADE IN CHINA PIECE OF POOP.

Total nonsense

Total nonsense. The IP address to set up did not exist. Norton flashed up warnings during several attempts. I asked for advice and was told to email a video of the 2 flashing lights (as if the product staff can't tell by a simple description on the phone). I got new a new link which led to a site asking me to give credit card details and sign up for £39.99 per month TO GET WIFI WORKING IN MY HOUSE! Con artists. I have now made it a personal mission to find who owns this company.

Scam do not buy this product

Scam do not buy this product. I bought 4 x ultraXtend after searching the internet for the best wifi booster. The cost was Initially reasonable but when VAT & delivery charges were added it made them rather expensive at £130 total order value. I set them up okay but they didn’t appear to be any better than my cheaper boosters & over a month provided a Wi-Fi service that was intermittent & unreliable. In fact I would say they made my Wi-Fi signal weaker & didn’t appear to do anything apart from slowing my Wi-Fi down. Within a month I decided to purchase a reputable TP mesh system which has improved my Wi-Fi speed & reception twofold. To conclude, It appears to me that this is a scam as the product does not work & it will take over 30 days to find this out, so hence I have missed the free refund offer (if this really exists). They must have spent a fortune on setting this scam up for there are very many positive bogus reviews on the web.

I don't usually write reviews on…

I don't usually write reviews on anything but felt I had to with this product. I searched for WiFi extenders as some rooms towards back of house have weak signal and came across this product which seemed like the answer. When it was delivered I tried connecting it and could not get it to work so turned to the Internet to try and find a solution and came across these reviews saying it was a scam and felt angry. Mainly with myself for not finding before purchasing! Been stubborn I kept trying the different methods word for word over and over and eventually it connected and seems to work perfectly for what we need it for.
