customer service feedback problems

After half a year of usage heating element had broke, and I ordered a new tip from 3dsimo eshop. Unfortunately the tip didn't work on my 3d pen when I connected them together, and customer support never got back to my email.
Now I'm not sure if I dare to waste more money buying other components for the pen, because I have zero idea if the tip is wrong or the body of the pen is corrupted (but it works with other tips from the kit, so at least I have a soldering iron).
For now I decided to stick to cheaper 3d pens on the market, which are easily replaceable.
I wish your customer support was more responsive

Non-existent customer support and service

I’m very upset that I didn’t read these reviews before we bought the 3D simo mini pen. We bought the pen in September 2018 and it no longer worked in December 2018. I’ve emailed them directly and sent them a picture of my UPC twice and I’ve gone through their website. No response! I’m so disappointed and will be letting all the art students and friends of my son to stay away from this company.

Terrible service

If I could give this company less than one star, I would. From their customer service to their ethics and priorities, which definitely are lacking, they do not merit any star at all.
There are too many things wrong I can’t even list them all.

Never received 3Dsimo mini from November 2017! ---UPDATE ---received a different model March 2019

We purchased a 3Dsimo mini on November 25, 2017 which was supposed to be a Christmas present for me. It never arrived. We contacted DHL who described the package as a "ghost package", meaning the shipping label was created but DHL never received the item from 3Dsimo. We initiated the conversation again with 3Dsimo and no one ever responded to my husband's emails. I got involved. They said they'd send the item and pulled another ghost package on us. Needless to say, we have NEVER received the item over a year later and we were not refunded. They were quick to take our $233 and not actually send the item. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

If they can make good on this order, I will consider updating this review.
------------------------UPDATE--------------------------------------------
After many emails back and forth, I finally received a different model. Upon agreeing to receive the newer model, it actually arrived pretty quickly (mid-March 2019). I have not had time to try it out, but hope to do so soon.

No shipping number no warrenty

We bought a 3Dsimo MultiPro as a Christmas Gift for a family member. It cost about $200 bucks at the time. However it's ability to be used as a 3D pen only worked for a few hours before it stopped working even while using the filament that was given to us by 3Dsimo. The burner and other tools are fine, just the gears or something inside of it broke.

Because it was a gift, we didn't have the shipping number for it. We emailed the company asking if they would make good on their warranty. However they will not work on the pen without that number. I don't understand how they can't use our card number to find the shipping number they need for it or even use our card's history to confirm that we did buy the pen from them within the warranty's time frame.

Pen kit arrived in the given time frame…

Pen kit arrived in the given time frame and was easy enough to assemble with the video. I bought it for my 9 year old son and there are some pieces that were hard for him to snap in place. But he enjoyed it. Make sure you buy some filament when you purchase. I forgot about that. Jan Tucik (I hope I spelled that correctly) was great and personally checked up on us to make sure we received it. I’d definitely recommend this company and item to anyone.

I am at a complete loss

I am at a complete loss. I received the multi pro and it immediately was malfunctioning. I have reached out to the 3DSIMO team on four separate occasions via both email and their online contact form yet I cannot get even a response from them. I have no idea how any company can survive sending out defective products and then ignore customer inquiries. An absolute sham.

scam company

order 3dsimo pen at their official website, they just never send the item and never reply my message, its a scam... don’t buy!!!

I was a backer of the 3dsimo mini… never received my kickstarter reward... but they made it right.

I was a backer of the 3dsimo mini back in 2015/2016. I never received the product. I have contacted 3dsimo through kickstarter campaign with no response. I just emailed support at 3Dsimo.com. I will update my rating if I hear back and/or receive a 3dsimo device.

Update: yes that is my backer number. Thanks.
Update 2: I have received the latest 3dsimo product that is even nicer than the product I backed but didn't receive. changing my Rating from 1 to 5 stars

Updated review - Ordered received!

Ordered and still have not received product. Have reached out to email at bottom of my order twice as well as through support on website but no response. Will update my review when product arrives or even any communication is received. Over 3 weeks and still no shipping info even though it was supposed to ship right out.

Update - I received the communication referred to below. If I get the product as outlined, I will raise my rating again. Thank you for reaching out!

Update - I received further communication when shipped and received the product with no issues. Apparently they were just running very far behind. The multi pro tool is very cool and works great!

UPDATE: I have finally received the promised 3DSimo Product

UPDATE:
3Dsimo finally reached out to me, apologized for having defaulted on the promise they made to their backers on kickstarter. Having survived through difficult financial times and being a successful company now, they have actually started fulfilling the kickstarter orders. I still haven't tested the product they sent me, but it did seem premium and well packaged. I'll update my review again once I've tested the product.

I ordered the 3DSimo, for my sister's birthday, 2 years ago. We were both so excited about your product and what it had to offer, but I sadly never received anything. And I wasn't the only one... I doubt 3DSimo actually sent out more than a handful of the promised 3DSimo Minis to the original backers, abandoning those who decide to support them. Now they're trying to sell to customers on their website. I would honestly avoid at all cost, definitely not a trustworthy company.
I have already contacted them multiple times without success. So if you do end up purchasing anything, don't expect any customer service or assistance.

Bought a 3D Simo kit. Hard to use.

Bought a 3D Simo kit.

Easy to construct, every part was there, unclear about motor cables though.

Result is a very mediocre 3D pen. electronic parts are exposed, the promise of many configurations is not kept, just PLA and ABS. Buttons press themselves all the time, temperature drops fast. Now one could fix all this by adjusting the supplied program, suppress the buttons and upload it, its an Arduino based thingie.

What is really disappointing, making it useless and not easy to be fixed is the very short point. Complete obstructed by the too wide end of the case, it is very hard to see where the filament comes out of the pen.

Nice idea, badly executed.

Regarding dropping temperature: please use stronger power addapter. Most modern phone addapters are sufficient, recommended power addapter has output of:
5V 2,1A

Just want to clarify that 3Dsimo’s reply to my last review is useless and nonsense. Let’s distinguish two different scenarios. One is the normal customer care for the initially working product, no doubt it is customers duty to pay the shipping fee for any repairs; However for the never worked/defected product customer received, why the customer should pay the shipping fee to get it repaired? 3Dsimo customer service staff, will you do this if you are in my shoes? Please Don’t SLANDER your customer not reading mannual for the not working/defected product anymore, We already told you clearly in our first email that we followed the instructions step by step!!!!! Horrible customer service!!!!!!! Too time consuming to try them. Their customer service really need to spend time to care their customer, not waste valuable time on SLANDER the sad customer!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ADVENTURE NO ONE WANTS TO EXPERIENCE, BAD PRODUCT.

As mentioned and described so many times to 3Dsimo, it has been a very unpleasant experience buying a product from them. It was purely a case of carelessness from your side and suggesting that the product sent by you was little loose, you could have just simply checked the product before dispatching it to some another country. As suggested from your side only, because it wasn't my fault at all i should have got the reimburse for sending it back to you, so that you can tight that little loose product. I see this purchase as a poor service, no commitment and very unprofessional.

Great products and commitment to community

Really, really happy with my 3DSimo pen kit. Instructions were clear, making it easy to put together. Once assembled, the pen works great. I'm excited with the prospects of making new creations with the pen, and with how hackable it is!

Best crowd funding project ever

The product is pretty good and useful.. My pen worked as described and I had nearly no problems. Just the shipment took a while. The customer support was nice and friendly with my questions. But sometimes the pen struggles with outputting or feeding the filament.
