I have used Abba taxis for over a year 2 or 3 times a week since I had to stop driving through serious illness and I am a 80yrs lady, today Sunday 9/8/26 I phoned the taxi office asked if the driver would help carrying a small bedside table up the stairs for me the woman said it depends on the driver ( so it sounds like they have kind helpful drivers and some that are not helpful)I ordered the taxi I had bought a small bedside table from the Heart foundation cockhedge shopping centre he put it in his boot, I asked if he would carry it up stairs for me, I live in an appartment the building is small as there are only 4 apartments in the building, I live on the first floor only a 10 step staircase, I he wouldn't when told him I had cancer on my left shoulder so my left arm doesn't work, and that I'm 80yr he still said no, and got quite unpleasant raising his voice to me, I've been with this company for over a year always tipped the driver's, don't use Abba cars if you want help as they said the office it depends on the driver if they want to help you

I wish I’d read these reviews before booking with this awful company.
Booked for 1025 to catch a specific train - miss it and I’d be 2 hours late and hundreds of pounds out of pocket.
1030 still no taxi - rang … “don’t worry he’s 4 minutes away”
1040 still no taxi - rang … “don’t worry he’s 8 minutes away”
1046 automated call “your driver has arrived” no sign of him!
1048 taxi arrives. “You’re about 25 minutes late”. No apology just ‘well I saw from your booking that your train isn’t due in until 1127 - there’s plenty of time!’
We’d allowed extra time for roadworks etc. We got stuck for 5 minutes as a skip wagon was blocking the road and then we inevitably got held up in traffic.
What should have been a stress free trip saw us arrive with just 3 minutes to get from the taxi to the platform with heavy luggage and an out of order lift.
Never again.

Had a specific train I had to catch from Warrington Ban Quay station.

The Abba taxi I booked yesterday decided not to show up. So it was a mad rush driving myself and leaving my wife with no car. Got the train with 1 minute to spare.

It seems that their terrible rating is well deserved!

At 2pm today abba taxis took me from Ryfields to the dentist on Orford Avenue. When i had finished there i rang abba again for a car to take me home. I was told it would be there more or less straight away- it never turned up! Dreadful service, we will never use abba taxis again.

Absolutely awful. Pre booked 4 taxis weeks in advance to collect from Manchester back to Warrington, confirmation sent etc. Rang them to check whereabouts and was told none were on their way and it would be over an hour to book. Don’t take the booking in the first place if you can’t be bothered to follow it through. No wonder people prefer Uber these days.

Awful awful awful. Please do not use this company.

We arranged a pre booked taxis from Manchester to Warrington. We paid ahead of time £60. We called during the day to double check, all was okay.

They did NOT turn up

Ignorant pieces of dirt (they’re are worse and more fitting descriptions I can think of) kept putting the phone down on me when I called to book a taxi. AVOID AVOID AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND USE A DIFFERENT COMPANY.

My daughter has been using ABBA Cars to travel to and from work since before Christmas due to a mechanical issue with my own car.
On numerous occasions they have turned up late or not at all despite us pre-booking the evening before. Apparrently this means nothing as the drivers can pick and choose the jobs they accept !
This came to a head today. A taxi was booked, last evening at 7.15pm for a taxi to collect my daughter from work at 5.10pm today...not much to ask or expect is it ?
However, when the taxi did not arrive by 5.15pm, I rang and was told that the driver was dropping off nearby and would be there within a minute.
At 5.25pm, I rang again and was informed that I should not have been told that and that the taxi would arrive when they had a driver available !! After waiting until 5.35pm my daughter made her own way home...AGAIN !!!!!
Why take a booking when they have no intention of actually turning up ?
I DO NOT RECOMMEND ABBA AT ALL. LEAVE WELL ALONE. VERY UNRELIABLE.

Due to a mechanical issue with my car I found it necessary to use an ABBA taxi to take me home from Stockton Heath to Frodsham today. The driver Olu proved herself to be a real expert in terms of safe and efficient driving and she shared her in depth knowledge of advanced driving techniques with me on the journey. After many years of driving I learned so much from this amazing ABBA driver and this journey home was a very positive experience.

Missed a Doctor's appointment because of this lot (I booked in advance using their garbage app) Do not rely on this company for travel, even if you book in advance. AVOID. I will risk my health to use the bus from now on.

I have screenshots of the driver accepting and cancelling my booking, 15 minutes after it was due to arrive.

Second time an abba driver has gone AWOL for me. Genuinely useless for transport.

January 25 2025. Beware they charge double. Double the fare of uber or other cabs. Demanded cash. No receipt given. Tooting premier Inn to Tooting Lido. Cost £15. Uber charged £6.50 for the same journey. Driver had no regard for speed limits. Narrow roads due to car parking. When I queried the cost he was rude and so was the lady on the end of the phone. When I explained this. Our friends followed in an uber. The same route … £6.50. Driver got out car and was abusive.

Booked a return taxi and both trips were spot on and taxi was on time. The return journey was slightly cheaper and 2 miles long but, not complaining.
Honestly l cant fault them.

I ordered a taxi from a nice respectful area in chapleford and was asked to pay upfront because I’m white, (I’m a 49 year old woman) I proceeded to ring the office while on yhe journey and a guy named Anthony rudely told me I’m racist for accusing a driver of that and put the phone down on me) i then proceeded to call back and asked if the management could listen to the audio in the car as i wanted to inform the police of the racism towards my colour and was told no camera no audio when i could see it clearly and phone again rudely cut off, I left the vehicle and thankfully i managed to get a another taxi coming all the way from Lymm once I explained what had happened, absolutely disgusted this has happened.

Generally, they're actually fantastic, but there's one driver I've had a few times who doesn't disclose until the end of the journey that he'll only accept cash. He will then force you to go to a cash machine or force you to pay for his petrol. Has genuinely reduced me to tears a couple of times because I'm special needs and it adds an immense amount of stress.

they refused to take £1 off for a £50 job is that good to refuse or not i will not recommend at barnett hospital again abba cars

Got a taxi from here and driver told me to pay by cash, as he didn't want to wait till Monday for a bank payment to go though. When I said none of us had cash only card, he was asking for bank detail to do a bank transfer. When I said no, he made the ride the most awkward 10 mins for my life. Since when was this a thing. Never had problems before. Didn’t even get him to drop me at home,but at the top of the road. As he made us al very uncomfortable. His driver number was 133. For Warrington.

Abba Cars Has A Really Bad Safety Record Needs investigating by police

As you may have heard recently National Highways have reported that a majority of drivers are on their phones whilst driving

I have Had cases of Abba Car Drivers using their phones or AirPods whilst driving i almost happened to be involved in a crash

the last driver that was using his phone was a silver Toyota Prius L19 WVG however the guy retired

Absolutely terrible service, taxi driver miserable & extortionate rates, taxi went to wrong place and I'm charged for it ? Never again I hope they go bust..uber will see them off.
