We have booked 2 rooms for 4 people en…

We have booked 2 rooms for 4 people en two children they splits the rooms one adults and one child each room , two other adults wore not allowed. When we told them they said u have to book another room . So I booked other room for family 2 adults en 2 children. I got the reservation nr everything. One Day for the check in , I wanted to pay they told me you SORRY YOU HAVE NO RESERVATIONS HERE. If you want we will give you another family room in Bastion Almere cos we are here full ( Bussum) they shifted us from Bassum to Almere . I paid for family room but they gave me two singel bed for 2 persons . We went there after a family party so I had no energy to fight with them at 03:00 o clock at night.

I have never experience such a bad hotel ever .

DONT book any room from here they have bad service, the manager Demi doesn’t listen to your problem she promised that she wil massage you or mail you , she doesn’t do it . Very impolite to the guests. When u call her 2 time and have questions, She told me ( WHY ARE CALLING SO MANY TIMES , WE ARE TO BUSY )

Grateful guests

Everything was fine. Very big hotel and really nice stuff. Especially the Mr. at the reception.

Good hotel but not suitable if you have walking difficulties

+: efficient air conditioning, good wifi, convenient for both car access and public transport, nice staff

-: the room had a Nespresso machine but strangely no kettle, I feel like the hotel website should warn you at the time of booking that the hotel is not suitable for older or disabled travellers.

Worst hotel experience i ever had...

The hotel cleaning staff left our door open, and the personell at the hotel had never cared less about anything in their entire lives.
Furthermore i have NEVER stayed at a place that dirty before. We had 5 nights there, and the same dustballs that were there in the hallway when we came, we there when we left. The floor in the room was very dirty and there were spiderwebs in the corner of the sealing.
If you are thinking about staying here, spend the few extra bucks per night and stay somewhere else.

Hotels.com whom we booked through applied for compensation for the bad experience, but we have never heard anything back from Bastion Hotels..

communication with staff was horrible!

Ricardo the Hotel manager was very rude towards me and could not even speak proper English. i requested and called many times for assitance he never came i was stuck in the bathroom for over an Hour!! the door handle broke.. I was so angry requested my money back he told me i can leave the Hotel. I had to do an early check out did not like the service and I did not wanted to stay anyways. van der valk has better service than this cheap Hotel!

Cheap because no service at all.

No promises shuttle service on time.
Elevator not working.
But worst of all they don’t reply to any complaints and it’s like they made it so difficult even to find a contact number that you’ll give up.
It’s so cheap because there’s absolutely no service at all!

A MAN ENTERED OUR ROOM AT 4AM. DO NOT STAY HERE.
My mother and I had a 1 night stay booked. At 4am, a man came into our room. We had no idea who he was or what his intentions were. He had a key card and let himself into our room, which was locked. We waited over a month for an explanation from the hotel, to which they told us 'it was a communication error'. Please be mindful, whoever you are, about staying at this hotel.

Terrible response from the administration

There was no electricity in one of the rooms, which the staff couldn't fix, neither gave us another room. The administration did not put any effort in addressing this issue, and we could not find another hotel as it had become the middle of the night. Due to this, we had to modify the next day plan and cut our trip short. The hotel administration charged us 100% for the rooms and was blaming nature (like considering the power outage of a single room as a natural disaster) for their mistakes when contacted later. The hotel administrations' utter arrogance, combined with their lack of responsibility and untimely responses, is a prime example of extreme entitlement in the hospitality industry that is outright intolerable. So I will never be using their (and their branches) services anymore, and advice everyone to follow the same.

The airport shuttle bus was convenient.

The airport shuttle bus was convenient and fast, check-in was OK with only one person on the desk. The room was a good size and clean. Great for a solo traveller and an overnight stopover. I didn't stay for the breakfast as I used the first shuttle of the day back to the airport (06:00).

Location and airport shuttle service is fine.
Reception staffed by either unqualified staff or a computer system that does not suit the purpose.
If you check out late staff is not qualified to print a receipt. They just ask you to put your email address on a random piece of paper. Surprisingly did not show up.
Don´t try to extend your stay at the reception. They will just point at the guest computer in the reception area. Incapable of doing at the reception desk.
Booked the extra night at NH Hotel across the street.

It would be a zero if there was that…

It would be a zero if there was that option. I booked a room and they sent me a cancelation email claiming that the payment was not received because they don't accept AMEX, so I paid with my other card only for me to later see a charge from them on my AMEX and they have refused to remove this amount despite several emails and calls. Avoid this hotel as they engage in fraudulent practices.

Avoid

So we stayed here for 3 days.. wouldn't recommend I'm afraid.
The room was okay - normal two single beds pushed together kinda off jobby nothing special. The bathroom completely stunk though, like dirty drains!
The room wasn't cleaned on our second day.
My partner went down to get to reception to get some clean towels and to explain our room was cleaned for the receptionist to ignore him and just get the towels.

The pool was freezing and dirty.

We didnt purchase breakfast for our stay but we did on our last day as we knew travelling would be a nightmare. We regretted it and was sooooooo happy we didnt pay for all 3 days. No selection. Dry. Flies all around!

We will not be staying again.

Avoid at all cost

Do not book or work at this hotel.
My boyfriend worked at Bastion Hotel Hoofddorp for about 6 months. They are not willing to pay the money he worked extra, which is about 500 euros. Even though there is a proof he worked there and his boss Aaron was there on those days, they only insist they paid the money. There is now a shortage of workers, but it does not mean they can exploit workers and use them as a free laborer. Why does he have to make so much effort to get what he is supposed to get without an effort and this frustration? So, do not work at this hotel. This is horrible.
Also, do not stay in this hotel if you’re considering a visit to the Netherlands. You will find lots of other better (so much better!) hotels in Amsterdam. Please make right choices. My boyfriend told me sometimes workers do not have enough time to check if all the bedsheets are washed because of the shortages of workers. Even if this is the cheapest option you have found, it is better to pay a bit more and have 1000 times better experience at other hotels.
