The bar refrigerator was completely empty. They have blocked any other input on the TV so you cannot use a chrome cast. The TV was only able to show boring TV channels. So, that really sucks. Apparently they don't understand that when you stay in a hotel you might need some entertainment. The Wi-Fi was slow. So not really recommended these bastion hotels.

I stayed here on February 2nd 2022 for an overnight stay on stopover to Vancouver Canada. I took a shuttle bus here because the other guys shuttle bus was no show after 1hr of waiting. Since i did not book in advance, online rate was cheaper but t5he guy at the desk wouldn't match that price. I was disappointed since i was dealing with the hotel directly. The guy at the desk said i should have booked online before showing up.. :(
Baation hotel customer service
I made a reservation via hotels website for 31th of December. I wanted to change the reservation date since there are hard lockdown regulations in Netherlands that are applied by the government. (less travel etc)
My reservation is a non-cancellation reservation. I called the customer service and requested to change the reservation for a future date since this is not a normal condition (a pandemic condition) and the regulations are applied by the government. The customer service said I should not book a non refundable option in a pandemic. I said I made the booking before the regulations are applied. I also wrote via hotel’s info email. They did not replied to my email. In short I did not stayed in the hotel but I would not recommend the hotel and its relations with the customers. I expected from a chain hotel to be more flexible in pandemic conditions.
There are a lot of better options to stay in Netherlands.

First of all , the crew of the Hotel ! The workers are very kind pilote and helpful ! I think they are making the attractivity of the hotel because they are so reactive professional ready to answer any questions and ordering the solution straight ! They deserve bonus from Managemenr board ehehhe ! The buffet Breakfast is great as well ! The beds are very comfortable ! Great value for that price !

Dirty and not clean hotel
We stayed 1 night at Bastion hotel in Rotterdam and we supposed to stay 3 or longer. The room was not clean to decent standard. Dirty in hallway and garbage on stairways. Hotel full of foreign workers drinking beer and smokes in room. It’s smells and feel dirty. They went late to bed and early up disturbing sleep. I give it 2 stars ⭐️ for nice front end personal and ok room. No stars for missing cleaning. That’s disappointed and discusting

The hotel was in the centre of Maastricht in an excellent position for everything. My only gripe was with the hotel management. I stayed at the hotel two nights and used the hotel car park which is undercover. When l obtained the ticket for the car park the gentleman at the reception requested me to pay 30 euros if possible in cash. Everything was fine untill leaving when the reception requested payment for two days parking. I contested this but the receptionist said they didn't have any trace of my payment so I would have to pay before leaving. I payed to avoid ruining our last day in Holland.
After returning home I wrote my review as requested by the hotel. I was contacted by, I believe, customer services who were supposed to help. The hotel obviously didn't accept what happened as they don't make mistakes and as I didn't have a receipt it never happened.
The conclusion is, if you stay with Bastion Hotels, watch out paying for anything without obtaining a receipt.
Don't book a room at this hotel!
Don't book a room at this hotel! The sheets were dirty and there was urine in the room! Not to mention that the smell was unbearable in the rest of the hotel and everthing was dirty: the floors / the elevator / the counter , even the receptionist was sweating like a pig (excusez le mot). More importantly, when we decided to leave; we saw people dealing drugs near our car in the garage lot. So please ladies and gentlemen, pay an extra 20 euro and avoid all of this by sleeping in a hotel which cares about the safety and hygiene her customers.
