Visited the Norwich branch, chose a nice looking I4. Agreed the purchase subject to a small PX and two new tyres on the i4, as one was bold and a second was on the limit. Sales rep and the the manager said that the tyres had passed there inspection. He just kept repeating himself and wouldn’t look at the tyres himself. Clearly, there sales pitch of a full inspection pre sale is not worth the paper it’s written on. Their PX valuations is also an insult, repeated on other customer reviews. That said, I walked away and got a much better reception, value for money and professional service from Sytners BMW.

Arrived at opening time with no pre booked appointment, immediately it was clear that nothing would be too much trouble…
Welcomed and booked in within 5mins with and advisor called Bethan…whe was brilliant, good bloke, kept it light and fun, no hard sales pitch…
The aftercare/handover once I made my purchase, was then taken care of by the wonderful Kayleigh…
Kayleigh was sharp, well spoken in terms of keeping it quick and simple, everything was done in a flash, due to a slight cleaning delay Kayleigh then returned to get me, all resolved in minutes and Kayleigh was bright, polite and concise…impressive.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING FROM BIG MOTORING WORLD LEEDS
Get an independent inspection. Do not rely solely on their vehicle report or how good a car looks on the forecourt.
We travelled from London to Leeds to collect a car after being told the finance was approved and we could test drive, inspect and take it away that day if happy.
At our 3pm appointment, nobody seemed to know we were coming and we waited around 30 minutes. We were then told by our salesperson Suhail that the lender was “unreliable” and we needed to wait another 24 hours. We contacted the lender ourselves and were told there was no 24-hour requirement.
The biggest concern came when we inspected the car. My husband has previous experience as a mechanic and identified apparent previous accident damage to the bumper that was not disclosed on the vehicle report. There was also dirt, hair and cobwebs inside the car.
We genuinely feel lucky we spotted this before buying. The car looked fine on the surface, but closer inspection told a very different story. Get an independent inspection before buying anything from this dealership.
We were initially told the car could be delivered to London free of charge, but after my husband began inspecting the vehicle, that changed abruptly and we were then told we would have to pay an additional £280.
When we were understandably frustrated after travelling all the way to Leeds, another member of staff told us to “go for lunch and enjoy Leeds”. Completely inappropriate.
We walked away from the car and honestly, we are glad we did. We feel we dodged a bullet.
Harry, the finance person we initially dealt with, was genuinely kind and helpful. This review is not directed at him personally. Unfortunately, our overall experience at the Leeds branch was completely different.
Check the history. Get an independent inspection. Look beyond the paintwork. Don't let a big dealership name replace your own due diligence.
We are leaving this review so the next person can make an informed decision.

0 stars if it were an option,
Update on previous reviews,
After managing to source a courtesy car again we left 4 messages with the employee handling our case requesting what day the vehicle needed to be returned, 3pm the day of we recieved a phone call that she was making a payment to the garage at 4pm so we needed to get the courtesy car back and pick up our car, nothing like last minute and again ignoring our previous calls and emails. We was then told if we have any further issues not to contact Big motoring world or big assist as because this is past 3 months warranty2000 will now be dealing with our issues, when we replied saying this doesnt make sense, we got the car in December 2025, reported first issies in Jan 2026 its now August and well past 3 months why is it all of a sudden being passed on, the reply we received was it does make sense. As you could imagine that was very helpful again great job on the customer service.
Is this what Big motoring world and Big assist do drag out customers cases and then palm them off somewhere else.
Anyways we managed to return the courtesy car at short notice and collect our vehicle on August 12th, the garage informed us that they are still waiting on Warranty2000 to approve the remaining repairs but they are usually good at replying withing 2 or 3 days.
Today is August 14th i just started my car up and yes you guessed it Engine light back on. We now have to drive the car back to the garage in Folkestone from Deal to see if the issue is the remaining faults or a new one(s).
Now we await to see if the car remains usable in this time until its next appointment for the remaining repairs or unusable and needs fixing before use.
Again this will leave us without a vehicle for the forseable, no courtesy car, and the inconveinance of getting from the garage back to Deal.
Update to come in a couple of days
In response to your last reply, you are very good at apologising in yoir response and saying you understand how frustrating things may be, you offered assistance in form of reviewing the courtesy car but no contact number or information to call to sort or arrange this. Surley there is a manager that would be able to authorise such things or that can be passed our case for them to contact us seeing as this has been ongoinh since Jan 2026 and all we are recieving is the same poor standards or customer after care, service and standards. But still nothing, you say the level of service we have recieved is unacceptable but nothing is happening in the way of change.
Poor all round from top to bottom no one cares whatso ever.
I cannot stress enough to steer clear from this company, no one deserves this level of neglect when you agree any fee for a vehicle let alone the price of ours.

This is the second bad review for this company. Do not use them. I had a negative experience so asked for all my details to be removed from their database. But I was inundated with calls and text messages. Please do not be foolish like me. I booked a test drive on a particular vehicle. Arrived at the agreed time to find vehicle was in another part of the country and they tried to sell me another vehicle.

Outstanding service from Tiffany and yucel. Tiffany took her time to answer all the questions, explained my options clearly, and never made me feel pressured into making desicion. It was a pleasant experience while buying a car.

READ ANY CONTRACTS CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU SIGN!!!
Big Motoring World decided to move across the cash I paid for the car onto the finance I’d agreed for the extended warranty, effectively making the car I’d paid for in cash, a hire purchase for three years. They tried to rush me through the contract signing but I refused and only then spotted what they’d done. It took 2 hours of me refusing to move until it was sorted, and considerable discussion and argument with the manager before they agreed to change it to what I had expected. A very disappointing and concerning experience.
I was promised a full EV charge on the vehicle before I left, which had not been done. The supposed full valet resulted in crushed leaves and debris in the footwell. The collection of the car and signing of the paperwork took 4 hours in total. There were lots of other people sitting around waiting for lengthy periods of time too.

Extremely disappointing experience
We spent several hours at Big Motoring World’s Camberley branch looking at a Volvo that we were genuinely interested in purchasing.
While there, we found an identical vehicle advertised elsewhere at a lower price, which we believed clearly met the criteria of Big Motoring World’s own Big Price Promise. We went through all the details with the manager at the branch, who agreed that it appeared to meet the criteria and sent everything through to Head Office for approval.
That was last Friday.
Since then, I have spoken to no fewer than 12 different members of staff. I have repeatedly been told that someone would come back to me, both by the branch and by Head Office. Despite numerous promises, nobody has actually followed up with a meaningful response.
At this point, the issue isn’t even whether they ultimately agree to honour the price promise. It’s the appalling communication and complete lack of follow-through. We were serious buyers, had spent hours at the dealership, and were given every indication that our query was being escalated and would be dealt with.
Instead, I have had to repeatedly chase different members of staff, explain the situation again and again, and now appear to be being completely ignored.
For a company of this size, this is simply not acceptable. If you make a commitment to come back to a customer, actually come back to them.
Sadly, what started as a genuine intention to buy a car from Big Motoring World has turned into an incredibly frustrating experience. I would strongly recommend making sure you are happy with the level of customer service before committing to buying from them.

Really easy to use and find a car that fit my requirements. Was able to test drive a few cars and was happy with the service received. There was a really long wait for each part of the service though from the sales to finance to collections, it felt we were left around waiting for a long time. Despite this still really happy with the car and will definitely recommend

Wasn't impressed with the place. All I could see was Audi's, BMW, and other big cars.
The staff weren't attentive or helpful. We bought a car but had to wait over an hour to pick it up the next day as the staff kept us waiting.
Wouldn't go there again.

We went to the big motoring world to buy a Audi q4 Etron , test drove the car and we were happy with it but the sales man told us it had 360 cameras and park assist, we picked the car up the next day and couldn’t find the 360 cameras on the car when we got home , then when I opened the bonnet it had blanks instead of front parking sensors so all the things we were told it didn’t have, we went back and was told somebody would be in touch, 3 weeks later we got an email saying nothing we can do so it cost another £350 for the front sensors to be fitted, so don’t believe a word the sales men come out with down there, if we had known it didn’t have these we would of walked away but when you are told it has you believe them. Maybe your salesperson needs to have more training and know the facts about the car they are selling

Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. Dealing with this place has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish.
I did all the chasing, drove all the way from Liverpool to Leeds, signed the finance papers, and was literally about to take the keys when they turned me away because the electric fuel flap was broken. They promised to fix it, but when I came back two days later for a 12pm collection, I was kept waiting until almost 3pm. I had a flight to catch, so I had to rush off without a proper handover.
When I got home, the real problems started:
* The PHEV came with no 3-pin home charger cable, so I had to shell out £134 of my own money just to charge the car at home.
* A day after getting it back, the GPS and nav made a loud "pop" sound and completely died.
* The dash is constantly flashing up with "SOS Return to Workshop" errors.
* The fuel flap still doesn't work properly.
Their response to the software breaking? "We don't deal with software."
They were fast enough to push the finance contract in front of me, but now I’m being completely ghosted. No one replies to emails, no one picks up the phone, and promises of a goodwill gesture for wasting my time and work hours have just vanished.
They still manage to spam my inbox with sales emails every day, but can't be bothered to fix a defective car they sold me. Absolute zero care for their customers once you've signed. Avoid

Extremely disappointing experience — vehicle not as advertised or properly inspected
I purchased a 2022 Land Rover Discovery Sport from Big Motoring World on 8 August, expecting the level of service and preparation you would reasonably expect from a large national motor dealer.
Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing.
I paid a transfer fee to have the vehicle moved from Warrington to West Malling. I was then told that the vehicle had arrived and was being prepared for my 9:00am collection appointment. In reality, the vehicle had not been properly checked, cleaned or prepared when it arrived.
The vehicle had also suffered considerable damage during the transfer process. What concerns me most is that this damage had apparently not even been picked up by Big Motoring World before I arrived to collect the vehicle. Had the vehicle actually been inspected properly on arrival, this should surely have been identified and dealt with before a customer was invited to collect it.
The vehicle was dirty inside and out, with make-up marks, rubbish, tissues, footmarks and general dirt throughout the vehicle. There was also rear paint damage which had not been disclosed in the advertisement. I was offered just £200 towards a repair which I was told would cost around £250.
Even more concerning was discovering a large amount of water inside one of the rear light units, apparently caused by a failed/broken seal. I have photographs clearly showing the excessive amount of water inside the light. I have asked Big Motoring World whether they genuinely consider this an acceptable condition for a vehicle to be sold from their forecourt.
I also discovered that the infotainment system was still linked to the previous owner.
Another issue I have with the experience is the way the vehicle was represented online. The photographs used in the advertisement appear to have been heavily digitally enhanced, to the point where the vehicle looks almost like a computer-generated image or something from a computer game. The presentation online gave a completely different impression from the vehicle I actually arrived to collect.
I appreciate that vehicles can occasionally sustain damage during transportation. What I find unacceptable is that the vehicle appears not to have been properly inspected when it arrived, meaning these issues were still present when I turned up as the paying customer to collect it.
I subsequently raised a formal complaint. Unfortunately, I felt that the first complaint response simply palmed me off rather than properly addressing the substance of what had happened. I had raised several specific and serious concerns, yet the response did not give me the reassurance I would expect that the matter had genuinely been investigated.
I have now had to spend considerable time pursuing issues that should have been identified and resolved by the dealership before the vehicle was handed over to me.
This isn’t about expecting a used car to be absolutely perfect. It is about expecting a vehicle to be properly inspected, prepared and accurately represented before a customer pays for it and travels to collect it.
My advice to anyone buying from Big Motoring World would be simple: do not rely solely on the photographs or assurances that the vehicle has been prepared. Inspect the vehicle extremely carefully before accepting it and check for damage, cleanliness, water ingress and anything that may not have been disclosed online.
I am still awaiting a satisfactory resolution to my complaint. At this stage, the whole experience has been extremely frustrating and has fallen a long way short of what I expected from a major national motor dealer.
