Well

Well, let me join the list of dissatisfied customers. Apparently, there's a pattern with Dennis Kirk's Customer Service. I ordered a windshield for my 2015 Indian Scout (Part Number 235313) which online, they stated would fit. I received it in a timely manner, so I'll give them that. But, when I went to test fit the fork brackets, they were too tall for the gap. I lowered the position of my turn signals as far as they would go and the brackets were still 1/8" - 3/16" too tall. I stopped at that point seeing there was no need to go any further. Repackaged everything as it had been sent and even put the brackets and fasteners in a gallon zip lock to assure they didn't flail around during shipment. I was contacted by Customer Service at Dennis Kirk and told the windshield was all scratched up and there were signs it had been mounted. A common excuse from what I've read in other comments. I never mounted anything because it was impossible to do. But that didn't seem to matter to the Customer Service rep. (Sandy). She insisted on saying I did and said I would be charged 30% ($91). By saying I mounted the windshield, she basically called me a liar. It appears the old adage "The customer is always right." doesn't apply at Dennis Kirk. Given the fact I didn't mount the product and that it was in the same condition as it was received, I consider this to be THEFT! I will be contacting the BBB.

Hi Jeff,
We are sorry to hear of your issues with our return policy.

As with most companies, parts must be unused and in new condition to receive a refund.
I personally looked at this windshield and it is full of fine scratches and also had pet hair on it.
It looks as though it was wiped to clean it off before it was shipped, which caused fine scratches all over the windshield. The hardware had also been mounted, which you state above. There was also a few small gouges in the windshield. We are sorry to hear you are not satisfied with our decision, but the part is not defective and can not be sold as new, so we must toss the part. Deducting you 30% only covers part of the cost of the windshield, which we now must throw away.

Garbage Customer Service Poor Quality Parts

I ordered some levers for my Harley from this company. According to the the website they were supposed to fit my M.C. Well they didn't so I contacted customer service who stated their online information was wrong. They did send me another set and credited my account with the difference. There was a span in time before I could bring the levers into my MC mechanic to put on the new set. They did fit but were deemed unsafe and of very cheap quality by my MC mechanic who is a Master Harley mechanic. I contacted customer service they said it would cost me a re-stocking fee. No problem. Then they called me and stated they couldn't do anything but send the parts back to me because they appear to have been mounted. No kidding...that's how it was determined they were crap. I told them don't bother and throw them in the trash where they belong. I wont spend another penny with this garbage company.

The quality of the the parts is horrible i cant believe they would send me the handlebars with scratches and chipped paint. Never do business with this places again. I should've bought from "JP cycles" as usual .

I had used Dennis Kirk for years for my snowmobile parts needs. Then when I ordered a new helmet in January 2019 and it didn't fit, I returned it. Well they decided that since the tags were not still attached, but in the bottom of the box, they docked me 25% of my return value. Absolutely the worst company to deal with. I used to spend hundreds but will take my business elsewhere and hope everyone does the same.

Hi Hugh,
We are sorry to hear of your issues with Dennis Kirk Returns.
However, you were not deducted for tags taken off. You were deducted because there were scratches to the helmet and the clear protective film was removed from the shield.
We do not deduct for tags being removed, we can reattach tags. We must be able to sell the helmet as new for you to get a full refund,
Had the helmet not been returned scratched and missing the protective coating, then you would have been refunded in full.

Orders a battery from the on a Tuesday January 21st. It's now January 28th and no battery to be seen. I called customer service and they were rude and didn't care about my concern. I'll never buy anything from them again. Don't do business with these people!

How much better can it be ??

How much better can it be ? Fair price but almost more importantly, super fast delivery with a UPS return label in the event that the part is incorrect for whatever reason. It just doesn't get any better than that.

Should have read the reviews

Should have read the reviews - their returns and customer service is a joke. Ordered a part which does not fit my bike, unless further modifications (and new parts) are made to the bike. No where on the product detail does it say this would be the case. They would not refund me because the product is considered "used" once you try to fit it to the bike.

I placed an order for a fender mount…

I placed an order for a fender mount luggage rack for my 2012 Sportster 1200C and was assured it would fit my bike and match up with the holes in the fender provided by HD for the seat. Paid $55.48 including shipping. The holes don't match up so I returned the luggage rack unused. My refund was only for $39.50. That being said it cost me $15.98 to try a fender rack that I was assured would fit but doesn't. I still don't have a luggage rack for my bike and I'm out $15.98. I personally will never order from Dennis Kirk again. I don't enjoy throwing money away. Buy from Dennis Kirk at your own risk.

Their customer service and return…

Their customer service and return policy is laughable. I returned an unused, but open air filter for a motorcycle and was told it arrived to their receiving department damaged and with major signs of use. They do not honor their policies, have bad csr agents and/or warehouse people that are willing to lie to get out of a return on a product

Truly the most unprofessional company i've ever dealt with. Not only did the send me the wrong part for my BMW moto, the part what i originally bought they don't even actually carry. Customer service was less than professional at handling my issue. I would not recommend dealing with Dennis Kirk.

Had a cart totaling over $3,000 and…

Had a cart totaling over $3,000 and called to see if they were willing to offer some sort of discount for a repeat customer with a large order. Called and spoke to Sarah who sounded less than willing and said she would check with her supervisor. Did not call be back the next morning like she said, so I called her. When we spoke she said that I had an order of about $150 from over a year ago that they accidentally refunded me for and that I have to ship these parts back or pay the balance due. I was less than thrilled and told Sarah that this was a mistake on their end, that I do not feel is my responsibility, and they had ample opportunity to reach out in the time in between. They were unable to accept responsibility for their mistake that happened over a year ago. Sarah was unprofessional and hung up the phone while I was talking. Needless to say they did not for one second sound thrilled that I wanted to buy 43 items totaling over $3,000 and they could care less if this order was placed or not. I will not be buying from Dennis Kirk anytime soon. In my opinion, if you are looking for parts Rockymountainatvmc.com is the place to go.

Bs service

Worst frkn experience ever had ordering Harley parts online. I ordered $765 worth 9f parts that were supposed to be delivered on April 6,2018.im disabled and leave garage open from 8am every day. I have a high gate 30 feet from front door. Ups after 19 years living in house knows leave in garage. I called Denis Kirk and got Ashley after no product showing up even though UPS claims left at unaccessible front door. After Ashley interrupted 3xz I hung up. Then she leaves a message if I don't respond when UPS calls case closed. What the f I'm responsible instead of Ashley or Dennis Kirk. Customer help is BS there.

I am astounded by the reviews I just read BUT it has been maybe 5 - 6 years since I have ordered from DK, perhaps things have changed there.
I have dealt with DK for maybe 28 years and have never had an issue that was Not fixed to MY satisfaction, even a Frame I ordered like 10 or so years ago that was Not correctly described in the Catalog and I had to "coax" them into taking it back at Full refund including - Return Shipping, granted, yes I had to speak to a supervisor a couple times BUT it was all done to my happiness.
I have been building and fixing HD Choppers for over 40 years and the Most important thing for All of you to remember is this ---- Before you order make sure you know what you need and is correct for your sickle and/or you are certain you can make it work if it is Not a stock item/part. The sales ppl in ALL Catalog sales cannot read your mind so YOU must be certain of what you want..............................Frisco-Rigid

I should have read the bad reviews before ordering from this company. I ordered a part that I was told would work on my bike only to find that it did not fit. Returned it and only got $25.11 credit after spending $45.60. Terrible.
