Never delivered my food, won't cover the cost

I ordered through them thinking it'd be like any other food service. After I called the restaurant to ask why my food was 30 minutes late and still not arrived they said Just Eat never even sent a driver to pick it up. After calling the company to see what was up, they admitted to it being a mistake on their end but they refused to cover the cost of the meal. The representative even said "I don't think Just Eat should cover the cost." He offered me a voucher but said they would not refund my cost. In the end I told him to take the voucher and shove it because I will never be ordering from them again and I hope you don't make that mistake as well.

Absolute worst experience....

I placed an order my card was declined I called them they said it was because I changed my card and that they've fixed the issue here's a 10 dollar credit ...okay. ... I try my card again it fails again my money is taken again but no food has ever arrived ... I call back I express the this was 50 of my last 60 dollars and I just wanted to get a nice dinner as my oven is broken the first woman just kept repeating herself every time I went to speak I asked to be transfered the seconday woman ended with your gonna have to find your kid another way to eat tonight .... beyond disrespectful I asked her name she clicked out I went on chat to try and get her name and was met with they don't know they recorded it but they don't know who else was on the call with me ... ??

Get your delivery from other platforms

They are terrible. When you complain about deliveries taking two hours or more, all they do is make you wait while they call the restaurant to get your order as fast as possible (disgusting food) so they don't have to refund you. First time I accepted the food and paid. The second time I refused and they refused to refund me even if I didn't take the food. I called my credit card company and it took half an hour to get my money back. The delivery guy threatened me with a lawsuit. Just-Eat customer services are pieces of s**t. I used to get all my deliveries under an hour but the last ones, even if the restaurant was less than 10 minutes away, it would take around two hour or more for the food to be delivered.

And when you write bad reviews on the restaurant and Just-Eat, they simply don't publish them. CROOKS.

HORRIBLE

This company is hysterical. I feel like I'm in a Kafka novel. Their customer service is literally a joke. It's exists for their own entertainment.
e.g. They email and ask you to review your experience but then the webpage linked to doesn't actually work. Maybe it only doesn't work if the review is bad? And when you send an email directly through their website the only response you get is your email being sent back to you? THAT'S IT. And then I can't sign in again? hahahahahahahahahahahaha

They take your money and run!

I used to always order through Just Eats and when I had a problem they would resolve it immediately. I did have where the funds came out of my account but the site didn't state it did. They resolved the problem in under an hour and the funds were back in my account. However, in the past 6 months they have gone extremely downhill with their service and website. The last few times I have ordered there has always been a problem. I just tried to order today and they took the funds out of my account but their website kept asking for me to retry with the payment. When I contacted their customer service, I was told it would take 1 to 2 business days to refund my money and tried to blame my computer for their website error. She was also rude when I gave the wrong email address. I will definitely not ever be ordering from them again. I have found munchtime.ca to be good so far. I guess if I order online I will be only ordering from them in the future. I will also ensure everyone I know is aware of the poor customer service and rip off that Just Eats has become.

Useless and too much hassle

I tried to order through his 'convenient' website. I had a coupon code which it accepted and then deleted when I was paying. It wouldn't take my visa, said it was invalid so I had to pay cash.
I emailed them about my Visa issue and their response was to email me back a copy of my email and that was that.
I will never waste my time with "just eat" again. They should rename it "just call the restaurant directly. We are only going to waste your time"

Future delivery partner

I have been trying to contact Just eat sales team and customer service cause I just opened a new restaurant and wanted to do a delivery partnership with just eat but I believe there is no certain direct line where I can contact a sales representative.
Customer care gave me 2 email address to put my request it has been over a month now I believe your company is to busy to follow up with new business opportunities.
Will not do business with a company who doesn't have time to follow up with new openings.

Waste of time and money

Awfull. They take no responsibility for when they are up. They messed up a few orders and won't to anything to correct their mistakes. I've had a lot of bad orders and lost money from them. Honestly you might as well contact the tests themselves don't waste your time going through a third party.

Food never came

This service is a joke. I waited an hour, then I called the restaurant. They said they received the order but it's taking a bit longer because of bad weather conditions (restaurant was a 5 min drive away). Waited another hour. Called Just Eat customer service. The agent said the restaurant uses their own drivers (though he wasn't sure). He gave me a credit which was about all he could do. I'm still hungry though! Don't bother with this service.

Horrible experience

Ordered food through Just Eat. After 1 1/2 h phoned to enquire about the order, was told that the food will be delivered shortly. After 2 1/2 hours, was told that basically it's not their problem and nothing they can do because the restaurant uses their own driver. That despite the fact that the order was made and paid on credit card through Just Eat. After 3 1/2 h order was cancelled. Eventually ordered from another restaurant and food was delivered in 30 min. They offered a credit voucher for my inconvenience, when i tried to activate it, the coupon code was expired even though it's supposed to active for 30 days. Horrible customer service. Don't order from through Just Eat!

Extremely slow, although customer service was polite

I placed an order around 7:30 and was given some options on when I wanted my order to arrive: ASAP, or the next time was 8:30. I chose ASAP, assuming that this meant my order would arrive sometime before 8:30. There is no way to tell when your estimated delivery time actually is before making an order, something that other similar sites do offer.

Around 8:30 I called the restaurant since my food hadn't arrived, and was told the delivery driver was on his way. At 9, I still hadn't received my food, so I contacted customer service from Just Eat who told me the driver was just leaving from the restaurant and wouldn't be here for another 30 minutes. They were quick to respond and check the status of my order, and gave me a 20% coupon code - I'm not unhappy with their customer service, but I am pretty unhappy about the service itself. It shouldn't take two hours for my food to arrive (the restaurant I ordered from is a 10 minute drive from me), and I should be able to see before ordering if it is going to take that long. It almost feels like they omit the expected delivery time on purpose so that you can only find out after your order if your food will take forever to arrive. The unreliability just makes this app more of an inconvenience than anything.

Order over 2hrs late still waiting

Ordered and after hour called customer service...guy gave me 15$ credit to just eat and told me to wait 20min...if food didnt arrive call again...called again girl put me on hold for 15min to call restaurant...it doesnt take that long i called them.beforw took me 2 minutes so i hung up and called again...got another rep this one got my number and said he will call me right back so i dont have to wait on hold...what a lier
..its been 20min still no call back...been 3hrs now since order.placed
Just got a call from them and they cancelled my order ...yes they gave me a refund within a few days but thats not thé point...when you order food you are hungry and want to eat...well this company can make you wait a few hours and then tell you they aint comin

Terrible customer service

Have had good experiences in the past, however, this past order was handled so poorly that I will give the company 1 star as they never even TRIED to resolve our issue.

We received the wrong order, but the driver who dropped it off had my cell number (he called saying I hadn't given my buzz number... this was false). After he dropped off our food, I realized we had someone else's order from a different restaurant.... not only that, but the receipt has all of her personal information... name, address, phone number, apt. number etc.

I called the driver, who said it was the restaurant's fault. I called the restaurant twice, THEY were so apologetic (Genji Sushi - AWESOME!), but they had handed it to the driver. I contacted Just Eat, but twice their customer service reps disconnected from our chat, essentially ignoring me. I tried calling, but was on hold forever... well, I gave up when driver showed up again... with our food, that the restaurant told us had been picked up long before.

We opened the food that was a mess of broken sushi with the sauce from our appetizer all over the bag, and all over our sushi... it wasn't edible. So we went out for dinner... we actually went out to Genji which I wish we had done in the first place! This mess took 90 minutes of our time, and $70!

I asked 3 times to have a manager or someone call me to resolve this, but nobody ever did.

If you are lucky, and all goes well - this company is fine. If something goes wrong with your order though, don't expect them to resolve it... So, I guess it depends on if you are willing to gamble lol - In future, I will not.

JustEat won't refund you if their app crashes

I spent $73 through the app two days ago, using the interac payment option. The money was processed and taken from my account, but the app crashed and my order never came. For the next 24 hours I spoke to various customer service reps who ranged from dismissive to apologetic, and all of them shifted the blame to my bank. The bank, however, has confirmation that the money was withdrawn immediately. JustEat refused to give a refund or take responsibility, offering a $20 voucher and then ignoring further messages. I still haven't been refunded. The app is great when it works, but extremely frustating if it doesn't, and if aomething goes wrong, JustEat will make no effort to help you.

Slow.

First time using this service--- I was very hopeful I love the idea of new foods being able to be delivered as we are a busy family who have had so much of the same stuff in the area we just dont bother- just eat had new restaurants to try. I ordered dinner at 4:30- got the confirmation that the restaurant will take my order at 5:00 and a phone call at 5:08 from the restaurant asking what kind of tacos we wanted. I called at 6:20 thinking are they even coming ? they called the restaurant and they said they hadn't left yet- and they would be there in 25 minutes. My order added a 10% tip for the drivers on my confirmation and when they arrived they were neither apologetic and also added another 2.00$ for themselves onto my receipt to get a higher tip. Which only annoyed me cause of the expectations of it all after the terrible series I had the correct money ready as I had already anticipated giving the driver a higher tip.. but I do like to do that out of my own free will- not because they add a tip onto their price. So I found that rude. To me if they take their time because they are ensuring our food is made to perfection with every care in them-- I could understand that-- but cold soggy tacos is what we had. And I thought because it was a Mexican place that they would have had special taco shells or something that made them special but they used the stand up kind that you buy in a box- nothing proprietary about that. I could have gone to the store and bought the ingredients 3 times and made them my self for the price and they certainly wouldn't have been soggy and inedible. So- as much as I want this service to work cause our family is desperate to have new foods delivered.. I was extremely disappointed. outsourcing meals

Hey all, I have done business with restaurants thru the JustEat.ca service multiple times. I have been satisfied with the overall business I did with them but, because of certain undocumented practices, which I find dishonest, I give the company a 1 star rating. Let me explain what I've observed.

The last time I've ordered, I waited an awful long time for my food (2h30). When the food finally arrived, the restaurant flyer that was in the package didn't correspond to the restaurant I've ordered from. I've had been in contact with the correct restaurant all the time and never they mention that the meal was being outsourced to an other restaurant because of the (possible) high number of orders.

I've had some suspicion of this practice in the past. I had the experience of ordering from a restaurant and getting an order with a different quality of food I am used to when ordering from this place. On that time they didn't send their flyers so I've got no confirmation of my suspicion but I'm very confident this is what happened.

I'm unsure if it's the restaurant that apply these practices (it would surprise me) but I suspect that it's an option the owners have inside the JustEat app. Think about it, as a restaurant you get more visibility thru JustEat. If they're not ready for the volume of orders, keep on accepting them and just outsourced the extra ones. It would be logic.

What is the most important is getting the right food to the client and, if that means getting another restaurant to fill the order, that's fine. But when this isn't documented anywhere and JustEat doesn't let you know, it's dishonest.

I also suspect that they censor reviews when you mention this practice. After the last experience, I wrote a one star review to the restaurant with an explanation of my experience and when I looked at the review I left, I don't see the text I wrote. This whole thing reeks dishonesty.

Love it

I love using just-eat.ca it's amazing for restaurants who don't already offer their food for delivery. Delivery times used to be a little slow but they've definitely picked it up a lot in the past few months. Maybe they hired more drivers? Whatever they did it's working? Great service!

Fast and Easy!

Ordering sushi took only two minutes and was so simple, I was almost skeptical as this was my first experience. Delivery is EXTREMELY quick, came in less than half the estimated time, and was delivered by an extremely kind man. I'm not sure if the delivery driver was from the sushi restaurant or from Just-Eat, but I gave him 43% tip.

I was so impressed by this company, that once the food came I made an account just to give them a well-deserved review. I'm excited to use this once again.

Late all the time

Just-Eat just gets worse and worse. The last two deliveries have been over 1.5hrs late and the food cold. We called customer service and they just blame the restaurant and tell us to leave a review. So we call the restaurant and they say the food is ready and we are waiting for the delivery driver. Or that the driver picked up the food already. So (A) they don't have enough drivers to delivery food anywhere near an acceptable time, and (B) they make the drivers do way too many deliveries each time meaning customers get late cold food. Either way we are over it. I will "Just-Eat" another way...
