Unfortunately, I am having to submit a Subject Access Request to get access to my closing letter so that the PHSO can pursue process. It's a shame they just blank you after you are no more use to them. Another firm who reviewed my case on contingency answered an enquiry six months later on the same day. They just disappear or are they closed permanently? I am very upset and medical negligence is not a great thing to go through.

My late father was a barrister, and as a result I have always had a deep respect for the legal profession. Sadly, my experience with Lyons Davidson has significantly undermined that faith.
Over the course of four years, communication has been consistently poor. Emails and portal queries have gone unanswered, telephone contact has been extremely difficult, and I have repeatedly had to chase for updates. My case handler has changed at least three times, resulting in a lack of continuity and accountability.
The medical assessment arranged felt rushed and impersonal. Due to the severity of my back pain, I sought a private specialist consultation at my own expense. Despite providing this report, I was informed it would not be relied upon. I also had to gather and supply my own medical records, which I would have expected my solicitors to obtain directly.
Although an award has now been agreed and paid, I am still awaiting receipt of the funds due to me. After four years, this is both frustrating and deeply disappointing.
Overall, the experience has been marked by delay, poor communication and a lack of client care. It has been an exhausting and disheartening process.
If your insurer appoints Lyons Davidson, request another solicitor. DO NOT USE!

My experience with Lyons Davidson has been nothing short of appalling. Their handling of my case was careless, negligent and completely devoid of professional responsibility.
Despite being fully aware that legal proceedings had been issued, they failed to act. I was later informed in a telephone conversation that the firm had received acknowledgement from the court but did nothing with this information because they were “not getting paid.” That is utterly unacceptable. Payment disputes do not absolve a law firm from its duty to notify a client of life-changing legal action.
As a direct result of their inaction, a wrongful CCJ was entered against me. The financial and reputational damage this has caused is severe and ongoing. The stress, anxiety and sleepless nights that followed could have been entirely avoided had Lyons Davidson acted with even basic professional diligence.
To make matters worse, there has been no meaningful accountability and no appropriate compensation offered. The firm has shown a complete lack of empathy and responsibility for the consequences of their failures.
I would strongly caution anyone considering using Lyons Davidson to think very carefully. My experience has been one of incompetence, poor communication and a disturbing disregard for client welfare.
