As another reviewer stated, "I should have read the reviews". I placed an order for a pump on 26/4/21, chased it 30/4, I was told not in stock with one of their suppliers but now to be delivered direct by another. Chased again, 7/5, informed that it would be shipped the following week, payment was taken on 10/5. Chased again 19/5, told "no one" has the pump. Only option was a refund. No meaningful apology, no recognition of poor service. No doubt staff are inured to the failure of the company they work for. As my father was fond of quoting "I can sell any amount of things I don't have" Selling is easy, delivery something else all together.
Should of checked here first - AVOID
Should of checked here first - ordered a product showing available and paid for next day - only to find out that actually it wont be available for weeks and the customer support person telling me they are not a web store and I should of checked the order confirmation which when you click thru back to their site states "Please note, our website doesn't operate with live stock records. If items are out of stock, you will receive an email advising of your estimated fulfilment date"....I never received the advisory email - Give them a wide berth - there's plenty of other excellent suppliers out there.
WARNING Very Poor Service
Ordered VHF Antenna.....not informed out of stock and on back order.Told available in 3 weeks....month later heard nothing...when chased up told not getting back in....and basically go away!?

I used the click and collect service. Upon arrival I was greeted by extremely rude and unpleasant customer service.
Horrible customer service/ breaching the law
Horrible customer service! So so rude lady on other side of the phone. We have ordered Ocean first aid kit £45 + delivery. 2 weeks later we get a notification that order is processed and notice that postage address is incorrct (not sure where it come from) - called and asked to change, 1 week later we receive it. A standard first aid kit that costs £28!! After 3 weeks of waiting!! On the top of that they charge us twice £51, and claim that they haven’t. The lady on the phone keeps saying that accounts just popped out and call back later, never did. On my last call to them she said oh you missed accounts again, and mentioned that they are ok furlough, but still working. This is breaching the law!!! Will never ever buy from them, rude and unprofessional. They kept £102 and posted £28 worth first aid kit.
AVOID…
Communications with this store are absolutely appalling with an indirect e mail system that is so painful. Royal Mail lost a return I sent and they have not at all been proactive. I would strongly recommending avoiding this supplier. I for one won't be using them for me and any of my sailing mad family.....

Good support. The Greek courier Speedex failed to deliver my order. Marine Store helped to solve this problem.

No stock, no communication!
Second time I've used them (sucker for punishment). both times it was not made clear that they didn't actually have the item I'd ordered and paid for.
Last one took a month to arrive and this time, I asked after a week so the order was simply cancelled by them with no word of explanation.
Businesses should not be allowed to trade online in this dishonest way. Stop it Guys and run your shop.

Items not in stock when ordering not made clear. Waited multiple weeks for an item that the website says should have been delivered in “2-5 days".
Ended up cancelling the order after two weeks of waiting and having to ring.
Family business or not...really poor
Family business or not, your service is really poor. To advertise and take an order (but not the money) for something that is not in stock is one thing. But to not advise the customer at all - until chased after a month is just pants!
Used twice fair service
Used twice. First order very fast and good product at good price. Second order there was a mistake, wrong item sent. But when contacted they managed to send next day. Much appreciated

placed order in april - during lockdown, understood this may affect timescales and was happy to support a business. no communication since april (when payment was taken) unable to get anything other than automated responses to emails. disapointed and will probably have to take this up with my credit card company to get a refund.
2 orders, no deliveries, no communication, not recommended
Similar to other reviews below...my order was placed 9 days ago with no communication or confirmations on when it will arrive (if arriving at all). No responses to 3 emails asking about the delivery and no responses to the phone numbers. 'Track your order' doesn't work. Don't waste your time with these amateurs.
Poor service do not use!
Late delivery, wrong size items sent I had to pay £12 to send the wrong size items back and the company has completely ignored my emails about trying to get a refund on the postage cost.

Complete Time Wasters Go Elsewhere
I had the same experience as one of the other reviewers...Taking orders for items not in stock - no notification that item wasn't in stock at the time of purchase. Waited two weeks and then contacted them by phone, to be advised that they were waiting for delivery from supplier. I cancelled the order there and then, I ordered 4 items, they took and confirmed the order but then nothing. I emailed them - nothing. The 'track your order' didn't work. I called them two weeks later. They had one item: a small flag all the rest not in stock. They should and could have emailed me to let me know.The lady on the phone just said they were too busy. Dont waste your time with these there are plenty of other good chandleries out there inc. one with a very similar name that does a great next day service.

My new 'go-to' general boat chandlery
The product was in stock at MarineStore when several other chandleries were out of stock for at least another week. Despatch email received within an hour and delivery is tomorrow by overnight courier. Disaster averted. Happy days.
The only thing preventing a full five-star rating is that I think the range and variety of products could be improved: eg. sink faucets range, engine spares (fuel lines and filters, etc), fixed VHF radio range...
Site is easy to use and even accepts Paypal. All in all, very happy.
