Dreadful company - do not use
Taking orders for items not in stock - no notification that item wasn't in stock at the time of purchase. Waited a week and then contacted them by phone, to be advised that they were waiting for delivery from supplier. I cancelled the order there and then, and confirmed cancellation by email. However, 3 days later the order was still live.
Submitted ticket to automated help desk, which promises to reply within 48 hours. 72 hours later, no reply and the ticket number is now no longer valid.
I now remember a similar experience a couple of years ago. Must remember NEVER TO ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
Ordered same bag on Amazon and received next day - cheaper too.
Clueless about products and poor communication (before purchase)
I saw an anchor light with attached 12v plug online. The advert said 'Cord, 15ins'. I sent an email asking what what was meant by Cord, 15ins and asking how long the cable is. The reply was " The cable is 15ins". I then phoned and spoke to a lady. I explained that a 15ins cable wouldn't get the light outside my cabin, let alone up the mast. She said she'd get the person who sent the email to call me as he was busy with a customer. He failed to do so! Goodness knows what the after sales service would be like and obviously the staff don't have a clue about boats or their products.
Excellent to deal with.
You only know how good a company is when a problem arises. I ordered a water filter & when it arrived it was damaged (Not there fault) I rang & spoke to a very helpful girl called Toni who asked for photos, fair enough. The next morning a new filter arrived in perfect condition. The whole experience was pleasant, efficient & not stressful at all.
So nice do deal with people who do what they say will.
I would highly recommend them as this is not the first time I have dealt with them but it is the first time I have had a problem and at the end of the day it actually wasn't a problem if you catch my drift.

After reading several negativ reviews on trustpilot i was a bit worried about ordering from Marinestore.co.uk, so i gave them a call and got through right away, they confirmed they had the goods at home, so i ordered. 5 days later i had the goods delivered at my home in Denmark. The goods were new and in perfect order. Marinestore delivered a first class service and prices that were very attractive. I am looking forward to my next order, and pleased to recommend this online shop. As a comment maybe Marinestore could look at their postal fees for international delivery as they are a little high. best regards Martin

I received the wrong item so rang the mail order line, the correct item was sent out immediately. Good service thanks.
Poor service all round
Ordered an item on line, the money was taken from my account immediately but it took 3 weeks for them to dispatch the order. I tried to email and got no response, I tried the Live Chat and got no answer. I phoned two weeks running and was told it would be 'the middle to the end of next week'. When it finally arrived the item was as expected but what I found unacceptable is the length of time it took to dispatch the product.
I will not be shopping with them again.

We ordered 15 plastimo Pilot 165 auto lifejackets from marinestore and they arrived without crotch straps, I have tried to get in touch on numerous occasions but no response. The jackets are being used for a youth training program and without the crotch straps as advertised its difficult to teach best practice in safety etc.

Very unhappy with the service from Marine Store. Ordered shoes for which I paid a delivery charge, and had to pay to return them, and I would have had to pay a further delivery charge for another pair in a different size, which may not have fitted. When I queried this I was told that this is how we make our money. Needless to say I didn't order another pair. Having sent my shoes back, I got no acknowledgement of receipt, and had to ring to find out if they had received them. It has taken over 2 weeks to get a refund, after having to ring to chase. Very poor service.

Ordered Cobra F77 fixed VHF went wrong first time out. Contacted Marine Chandlers by email was told where to return the radio, did as instructed that was six weeks ago, contacted them by phone and was I told would receive email within a week, never turned up, phoned again and was told I would receive a phone call same day, no one rang.tried the ring back service no call.
They're good at sending stuff out but appear not to want to know about faulty returns ( I feel I have been lied to just to get me off the phone) they don't seem to understand how important it is to deal efficiently with returns and that will kill they're internet business. would advise anyone to give very serious thought before ordering from Marinestore Chandlers.
Sent the wrong product; lousy customer service trying to get it resolved
Sent the wrong product. I emailed several times to arrange a replacement, but each time I got either no answer or an unhelpful one. Three weeks later and I'm still trying to get them to send what I actually ordered.
Bad service like this should not be rewarded. I suggest ordering from someone else
Communications could be better
Product range is fine, the (new) website works well and items are usually available promptly. Communications are though variable. I wrote asking about the disposal of time-expired distress flares, saying that I would order new ones from them if they would recycle my existing batch. Despite reminding them, I have received no reply at all. Needless to add, my order will go elsewhere.
Great product and fast service
I had a terrible experience trying to purchase a pair of deck shoes from another website which made me dubious about using another site, however, this website were brilliant. The shoes were a lower price, they arrived within 4 working days and the product was perfect. A refreshing experience following the prior 2 month fiasco.
Terrible delivery time
Ordered some paint and a bit of glue, taking almost 2 weeks to arrive, at least that is what I hope, I'm still waiting as I write this. You have to ring them to find out if there is a problem. They do not seem to think that Contacting you if there is going to be a delay, would be a good idea.. Very poor.
Used them a quiet a few times now and this has not been the first time that this has happened. Next time i will pay the little extra and go elsewhere to get a item on time.
No stock, no communication and no order.
Ordered a sailing jacket 8 days ago - checked via the on line system with order status "Pending" (??). After 7 days emailed to see where my order was and finally had to telephone... after lots of clicks and muffles I was told they were out of stock and waiting delivery (when?) - so I cancelled the order. Seems a totally bizarre way to run an on-line business.
