Great that O2 don’t charge for roaming but I found coverage in France very patchy- often no signal outside of towns. In contrast my partner had reliable coverage via EE roaming contact (also a non-p... See more

I’ve had some truly awful experiences with building management companies some years ago and I thought I’d never be able to top that, but O2 have set a new low bar for the most abysmal and derisory levels of customer service imaginable!
I switched to O2 and had requested the PAC from my current provider, and when I signed up for O2 it initially showed a new mobile number. No worries, let’s give it 24 hours to resolve. Next day, I get an email to confirm that my number has been successfully transferred.
Job done, or so I thought!
I noticed in the top-right of my phone that were I’d normally see the bars for my mobile service was a blank spot, so I disconnected from my home broadband to try using the 4/5G with no success. Phone call… nope. Text message… also nope!
What followed was nearly 5 hours of battling to try and find my way through to what was described as an “expert adviser”, but in actual fact resembled a really poor version of artificial intelligence! Knowing that I was unable to make phone calls, the continued solution from as many as FIVE different “expert advisers” was to call 202 from my mobile phone 🤦🏻♂️
There was no understanding, despite reading “I understand your frustration” before each message, that my issue meant I was unable to make any phone calls, and that the only reason I could contact them through the support chat was due to being connected to my home broadband.
Decided to terminate the contract immediately and I’ll switch back to another service provider who, on the odd occasion that something with the tech doesn’t quite go to plan, have customer support platform which is encouraged to… support their customers!
Can safely add O2 to EE as big mobile service providers I won’t ever be giving my business to again. Not that it matters to either of them, sadly.

I came in to upgrade my phone, I was offered the new iPhone and given price differences for the options available to me. Everyone was friendly, I wasn’t here for ages as I have been previously when upgrading my phone at other o2 shops and I walked away a satisfied customer.

The attendant was extremely polite and efficient to give me a right support, solved my problem.

Catastrophic failures by O2 I ordered the phone 10 days ago. I spent every single day fighting to get delivery of the phone every day so they failed once twice. 3×4×5×6×7×8×9×10 times I was supposed to get a phone call at 11:30 am this morning finally from the complaints team even though I’ve already formulated complaints that have gone to the chief executive of O2 O2 complaints Team
They are full of false promises. They were supposed to call me at 11:30 am this morning. They couldn’t even be bothered to do that. Stay clear of them. There are so many better deals out there they fob you off cellular expensive phones and then abandon you!
Customer Service once they’ve sold you, the phone is absolutely 0 out of 10
and they couldn’t even be bothered to phone me today to cancel the phone because I’ve lost faith in them don’t ever use O2 they don’t care about vulnerable people. They are a walking disaster and they’re well overpriced. I can get a phone for half the price.

Scott was really helpful, very friendly. He went over everything with me and it didn’t take to long to get what I wanted. Another colleague came over I can’t remember his name but he was also super friendly and very chatty. It made the experience really great.

Back in March this year, I unfortunately entered into an O2 business mobile contract through a third-party reseller, Kynex, but disputed it the very next day because I believed it had been mis-sold to me, and I immediately requested cancellation.
I have never used the O2 service. The SIM is still in its original, unopened packaging, and I continued using my existing mobile service.
Despite this and following several months of back and forth with Kynex and O2 (with no proper response from O2, just seemingly automated emails), O2 subsequently terminated the contract and issued me with a £2,676.72 termination bill, which I formally disputed. I am still waiting for a satisfactory resolution.
To make matters worse, the telephone number printed on O2's bill for me to contact them is out of service. Trying to resolve a disputed bill of this size is difficult enough without being given a contact number that doesn't work. I have repeatedly tried to contact O2 and to seek a response from an actual human being, to no avail.
The stress this is causing me is off the scale.

Nice and helpful staff. The que wasn't long wait at all and I managed to get an upgrade with the exact specifications I was looking for. The adviser wasn't pushy at all, she explained everything well and process everything for me quickly.

18 09 26 Prefer No Star. Been with O2 20years £40 money in hand 08 09 26 "not available on network" so loss of GP, TV, bank auto-check system etc. Called by landline O2 customer service 10times, deliberate ASKHOLE. No intention of ever helping. Call O2 Bath shop "our phone's broke". Empty shop, 4 staff, rudely would not help. charged for SIM they could not supply. Went around corner and picked up 2 SIM free. Found Virgin do not compensate for financial, goods and service, plus change number to everyone when one will be missed and bite back in court. Police uninterested in this fraud. Virgin-O2 CEO should compensate and sort out his stable. If he reads this I expect he will do nothing as nobody does their job anymore.

A long standing 02 customer, purchased an additional sim for a child account. Have had no mobile data on the sim, phone says 4G/5G when away from a WiFi signal and can make and receive a phone call but no ability for my child to send a message or connect to the internet, use live map location and to track my child. Called 02 in the 10th was told id get a call back from tech support in 72 hours, 3 sim swaps, visited a store they couldn’t help, called again after 72 hours passed to be told its up to 5 working days. I told them to call my number not my child’s. Tech support tried once to call my daughter’s phone whilst she was at school. Have called back 02, nobody seems to have the ability to transfer you to tech support. Was told my ticket is still open as they will try 3 attempts. Another ticket number has been raised dnd I got a message to say 3-7 days id get a response. This is a sub standard service. 7 days have passed and still I have no data connection for my child. I’m paying for a sim that’s not working and nobody cares or follows internal protocol to call back in time frame. Perhaps it’s time to move network.

Greeted as soon as I entered the store. A member of staff sat down with me and we discussed what phone would be best for me. She gave me a couple of options and I chose the one that I liked the best.
She completed all the necessary checks, set up the contract and got my new phone. The staff member was very polite, patient and helpful.

Today I received a call from O2 after I had previously applied for an iPhone and requested a PAC code because I was considering moving my number to another network.
During the call, they asked why I was trying to change my number. I explained that I had been offered a better option by another carrier, including a new phone and SIM plan. I also explained that I already use O2 for broadband and my SIM plan, but I had not been offered the phone I was looking for.
The O2 representative then offered me a solution: they said they could provide me with a phone and upgrade my SIM plan, although the monthly cost would be slightly higher. I said that was fine and agreed to proceed based on what we had discussed.
We had a long conversation during which they checked all my details. They then told me everything was ready and sent me an online link. I entered my details and signed the agreement, believing that I was accepting the phone and the new SIM plan we had discussed.
However, after signing, I discovered that the agreement was only for a SIM plan. There was no phone contract included.
I immediately contacted O2 customer service and explained what had happened. I was told that because I had already accepted the agreement, they could not change or cancel it — despite the fact that only a few hours had passed and I had clearly agreed based on the phone offer discussed during the call.
I feel extremely disappointed and misled by this experience. I agreed to the contract because I was told that it included a phone. If I had been clearly told that I was accepting a SIM-only contract, I would not have signed it.
The whole experience has seriously damaged my trust in O2. I would strongly advise customers to carefully check exactly what they are accepting before signing anything online following a phone conversation.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend O2 and will seriously reconsider continuing to use their services, including their broadband and mobile services.

I’ve been with o2 for 21 years and was happy until this last week. Firstly there customer service is shocking. I spent an hour on the phone trying to change my contact which he messed up and then changed without me signing. He then messed up my settings saying I had a Samsung I’ve always had an iPhone. I then spent an hour on the phone to apple and then another hour on the phone to o2 after 3 hours of stress and a complaint from me They then gave me £40 credit for all the hassle but as soon as I ended my contract they said my final bill plus service charges was £40. So after 21 years I’d never use them again. My whole family has now left o2 and My advise would be go anywhere except here there customer service is shocking and they suddenly charge you service charge for leaving a sim only monthly roll over I had no contract to leave. They said the would send the £40 to my bank or cheque which was a lie then charged me double my monthly bill and oh guess what it was the £40 credit they were giving me. Disgusting avoid and go anywhere except here. I had better treatment from Tesco in 5 minutes than the 21 years I gave o2 never again. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Been a customer for many years, no care in the world when you face network problems. As long as they are taking your money and charging you fees for other things and not providing a proper service, they are happy.
