Spacious gym with good variety of equipments. However, some improvement areas: some equipments are less in number (some only 1) causing crowding. Some equipments need servicing. The weighing machine is chargeable for checking body composition (3pounds) and there is no support if money is stuck. However, the staff is very helpful and friendly.

only complaint would be there’s only one pull machine so never got the chance to use it

Unfairly treated by member of staff,by kicking me and my mates off a cable rudely, for a woman to use without listening to our point of view. Also other trainers around me have gone up to the worker to question him why he has made this decision. People in the gym should wait for machines and have equal rights.

Normally I enjoy the gym, especially because I’m new and learning as I go with friends of mine, however this session was awful, from a member of staff and a user of the gym.
During our workout, this woman approached us asking us how long we would be, we replied “a long time, like 10 mins”. We waited for the cable machines and with 3 of us it will take a while to rotate between us it took a bit longer then expected around 20 mins. The woman went to get a member of staff to complain to us about how long we were taking. The staff member came to us with anger, belittling us calling us teenagers and not letting us talk and saying that we are taking the piss, and removed us of the cable machines, we had no chance to talk about the situation and stopped our workout mid-way-through.
Later, we went back to see what the women was doing and she was flicking her hair in the mirror and on her phone the whole time.
If the machine is taken in the gym you wait like a normal person we waited for the same machine so can she. And the member of staff had no clue about the situation but instantly took sides with the woman in the wrong.

It was my first time in the gym on Monday, and i was a little nervous, Kurtis offered to show me around, very informative with a positive attitude ! The gym was looking absolutely spotless and the variety of equipment is amazing too!
Looking forward to doing all the classes as they look really fun!

all equipment was faulty. weights were uncalibrated and incorrectly labelled. The toilets were filthy and stinking. The ONLY bench press was in a corner (of which has no air con and was pungent and smelling of BO) was shaking and unstable, incorrectly assembled and all round unsafe. As someone who consistently lifts weights, this was my worst experience of my many years of gym going. I will never return back to this horrible dystopian gym.

It’s a nice place to do your exercise with maximum availability of the equipment and the people are very nice to each other so you can get an encouragement for your workout.

I had fantastic induction from Mark at derby city centre gym
The instructors are friendly and so are the people who use the gym
After a year and a half away from the gym through major illness it's good to be training again

Nothing seems to be done about people sitting on machines using their mobile phones, ignoring the possibility other trainers may be waiting to use the equipment

It’s an okay gym, but the machines and furnishings, including the lockers, are in need of replacement. The gym equipment is showing signs of wear and tear, which affects the overall experience. In comparison, facilities like the Mentor Centre and other nearby locations seem to offer better quality and maintenance.
