We had a pleasant and straightforward experience in collecting our new caravan. Simon arranged a fair deal (after a little haggling) and altogether a good experience from Spinney. There are some outstanding issues with our new van which we hope to have resolved. We live some distance from the dealer and felt it worth the trip to benefit from the attractive purchase price. It remains to be seen how our aftersales issues unfold in this respect ?

We started our relationship with Spinneys when purchasing a new motorhome. Simon negotiated a great deal for us and kept us updated as we awaited the arrival of our motorhome direct off the production line. When it was delivered we awaited some additional works also managed through Simon. We met with Emma and Gareth in the accessories department who were fantastic in assisting us with some new items and Emma kept us in tea while we visited!
When it came to collection time we were met by Clive who did a fantastic handover and saw to all the questions asked and helped me preparing a template for a screen cover. We were seen off by Ray making sure we had everything we needed before we left and yet another brew prepared by Emma.
We have received fantastic customer service from the entire team at Spinneys and can confirm they supported us throughout the sale of our older motorhome and purchase of the new. The team have a great approach to customer focus, something which spreads throughout the entire team. A great big thanks from us both!

We were dealt with by Simon who dealt with all our queries and anxieties (it was quite something for us to spend some of the kids inheritance and buy a motorhome,)and he turned the anxieties into excitement. Thanks Simon 👍
When the day arrived to pick it up we were handed over to Clive, the handover guy and what a great experience he gave us, very thorough, nothing was to much trouble or to daft and he spent lots of time going over everything and back again when necessary.

The vehicle was clean and well presented under cover for the hand over and to top it all they put 3/4 tank of diesel, handed a comprehensive 12 months warranty, a free nights stop at a ‘Best Parks’ holiday park and 10% of accessories purchased at the store.
Overall it was a great experience

Have been waiting for 5 months for an accessory ordered for my 90k brand new campervan. I have got bored with sending emails and the last one a month ago was to a reply that said the part was in stock and would be sent out to me . Very strange and can send all the emails if you like. Hope this gets through to someone who can help.

We’ve been a spinney returning customer twice now but will no longer be returning. Called the silverdale branch today to discuss the relevant paperwork regarding cambelt which was due in 2024 and was told that they have no history of this bring done, my wife reminded me that I had asked the question about services and belts plus water pump and hoses to which the sales lady told us was all upto date and hose was on order prior to buying the van. After speaking to the manager today and asking for this to be rectified he said they would not renew the belts that should have been done prior to the sale and that the salesperson was no longer with them so couldn’t check up on this, I asked if they could do it as a goodwill gesture to which the replied, no. I see this as very poor customer care by a company that’s says something has been done to find it hasn’t also I think that it should have been done as standard practice given the age of the van even though the mileage was low, and the consequences of this could have been very severe and expensive if I hadn’t chased this up. I’m looking at changing my unit soon and will certainly not be visiting Spinney again nor will I recommend.

Barry was very welcoming and gave us all the time we needed to make our choice, answering all of our questions clearly. The handover walkthrough by Tony was really useful and, as first time motorhome owners having traded in our camper, his referral to other online handover videos was a godsend. It was a big purchase so feeling secure in the whole process was really important to us.

We met Connor Blanchard at the NEC. He was very helpful but not at all pushy.
We have never owned a caravan before and we were very grateful to David Blundell who spent several hours explaining everything with great patience.
Everyone there was very experienced - and it shows.
We would highly recommend them.

Whilst the sales side is very good, as is the guy who hands the van over, the service side is shocking. Parts can take 6 months or more and you have to continuously chase them up. Communication is very patchy, the right doesn't seem to know what the left is doing and the work can be substandard. It just seems it takes them ages to get things right, even simple things. Once the warranty has run out, I'll never us them again. They didn't even send a reminder for for the hab test!
I have read the reply from Spinneys and yes we got booked in, but we have had trouble with the water pump/sensor since we bought the van 2 years ago, and it's been looked at once before, and as the fitter yold us it was a common problem with our van we thought it would be easily fixed. When the work had been done we tried to test it to make sure it worked, but there wasn't any water in the system, when we asked about it we were told that from October to March, if they work on the water system they drain it, completely, because of it freezing. Now we had to wait to get home, put some water in and make sure it worked, unfortunately, when you drain the system completely it gets filled with air. It took 45 minutes to fill the tank and get rid of the air. This should have been communicated to us before the job was done, then we could have asked them to keep water in the tank. When the work was finished and we got back o sevice reception our van was parked right out side the service entrance doors, we then had to back it out, through a narrow gap, with me having to jump out and move a water barrel so we could get out, why wasn't it parked where we'd left it? In a parking bay in the car park?
When Spinneys called to say the part was in, after we'd chased them up, they started talking about ramps, and engine compartments, the sensor that needs replacing is in the water tank, in the bedroom, nothing whatsoever to do with the engine and ramps are definately not needed. Again lack of communication between the fitters and service reception. We are booked in for the work, we'll just have to make sure its the correct part and it's going in the right place. This is not a one off, these problems are on going. It's a shame really because everyone is so nice.

Went through everything concerning the caravan,explained things very well and talked us through all what we needed to know.
Shop in Spinneys for accessories was well stocked and provided what we needed for our first set up for the caravan.

After looking online we went to Spinny branch in kenilworth just to have a look and loved the look of the caravan swift compact,Alan helped explain all about it and we decided there a then to buy.
We returned on Saturday 31st January for the hand over the service was amazing as we hadn’t had a caravan before only a folding camper Gary was so helpful went through everything explaining how everything worked and nothing was too much trouble , the service we have been given is amazing would recommend 100 percent this branch everyone are all very helpful.

This was the first time I have purchased a caravan from Spinney and it was an excellent choice. From Richard, the sales manager, to Jayne who controls administration and Alan who demonstrated the new caravan, everyone was fantastic - friendly and very knowledgeable. I have to also mention staff in the service department, the accessory shop and others who were not directly involved in the sale who were keen to engage with a few questions I had.
