Appalling site

Appalling site. Paid the money to upload our details as we were the new owners of a pet previously registered on there.
Our details did originally appear on the SECOND page when searching the chip code, with the original owner displayed first.
Now our details do not appear at all!!!

Site is appaling, doesn't work properly, and looks like something designed by a child in IT class in 1998.

Do not go anywhere near this company/site. Use a proper place instead.

Avoid Avoid Avoid

Wish I had of read reviews before parting with £15 to what I thought was to update my cat’s micro chip details.
I 1000% agree with all reviews and in fact would have given no stars if I could.
Alarm bells started ringing when my cat went missing and I went to local Vet just to check my details were correct on her micro chip.
Details had never been updated!!!!
Yes Pet Chip Registry put micro chip details on there own register which they keep to themselves and not national database as indicated on their web site.
I did contact Pet Chip Registry to express my dissatisfaction and was told to start a dispute with Pay pal and she would refund money.
However as 180 days had passed dispute was not successful.
I have since paid another £15 to a recognised reputable database.
Avoid Pet Chip Registry unless u've money to throw away.!!!

Yes, they are known to us. We served a notice on them and their original UK-based website was closed down. However, they have now moved off-shore making it difficult to reach.

We are working with Trading Standards to see what our options are.

"LEGAL" SCAM- Just ask for a refund using the e-mail provided

She paid my money back, after I wrote to her and threatened her (she might have refunded if I did not, too, but I was really furious). What she does is "technically" legal as in she does what she claims i.e. display your data on a website. She doesn't claim to be "officially approved" anyway, payments seem to be securely processed on the website (padlock next to url), she doe not share your details and refunds are without hassle. So that's how she has managed to wade her way through so far. As a legal scammer. She seems not bothered by the fact that she is not DEFRA-approved because she already stated that she is not affiliated with government or third parties. In this way, she reminds me of Bulgarian taxi drivers who might charge you 50£ per km because they displayed that on the quarter window and it is a free country.
Here is our correspondence:

Alev: I am finding out that you are a scam! Shame on you that you appear to be a legitimate UK website and feed on people's grievances over lost pets. If you don't refund my 17£ by the end of today, I will call my bank and alert every legal entity out there to get you shut down. I will not forget and I will not give up.

Kayla: What you claim is preposterous to say the least. PetChip Registry is part of a multi-country organization designed as a quick reference tool for animal care groups and veterinarians. All owner and contact information is displayed once submitted.

Our universal service makes your contact information accessible even when the parent company of your pet’s microchip is unknown. We have no affiliation with any third party database, nor do we share your information, nor do we claim to be a part of the Government.

I fail to see any validation in your absurd claims. Our purpose is to display your information to any authority or citizen who enters your pet’s microchip number and it used for the sole purpose of reuniting lost pets with their keepers. We do not claim to provide any other service other than what is stated.

As a pet owner, it is your responsibility to be registered with your pet’s microchip distributor prior to acquiring our services for the purpose of an extra layer of protection for your pet.

Refunds are never denied, and are issued upon request.

Alev: I suggest you read your reviews.

You might be legal "per say", as in you might be doing what you claim you are doing (i.e. put stuff on a database that shows when you click) but you are not DEFRA-approved. There are several "vets" calling your website out a scam. Nobody looks at your site because you are not OFFICIALLY RECOGNISED. Would you care to tell me who are these "organizations"? Who are the animal groups and vet clinics that use your website? So we pay money for putting the pictures up on a random website that will benefit no one. And we going through this whilst we are grieving for our pets. And you think this is OK and not a scam? You must be deluded.

Kayla: Fortunately, what you and 10 other people claim seems to be a matter of opinion.

It seems you still do not fully understand. Re-reading my previous email will shine some light on your lack of comprehension.

This site is a scam

This site is a scam. Absolutely preposterous that they're the first result on Google. There are various posts by veterinary clinics out there calling them out - if your pet goes missing and they're only registered here, chances are they won't be found. If you've fallen victim like me, just go to their contact page and fill out a form threatening to contact your bank to get a refund if they won't give you one. You will get it within 24 hours, worked for me.

SHAME ON YOU...YOU NEED TO BE BANNED IMMEDIATELY!!!

Like everyone else on here, I agree this company is a complete SCAM! They are a disgusting crowd that prey on pet lovers as they know we would do anything for our pets.
I wasted £17 also registering my pet's details.
I thought is strange that I ever got any email of confirmation and could not access the details on the site afterwards.

Alarm bells started ringing when I received a voicemail from a lady purporting to be from this Company asking me to call back to re-register my chip as my first attempt "failed" so this lady wanted me to steal another £17 from me!

SHAME ON YOU...YOU NEED TO BE BANNED IMMEDIATELY!!!

SCAM SCAM SCAM Police & Search Engines must STOP THIS!

I have just sent my third email to this company and reported to PayPal....

IT APPEARS YOU ARE OPERATING A SCAM!

I registered my cat with you because he had GONE MISSING and expected within 24 hours that he would appear on all national searches so that if he was handed in to a vet the OWNER would be found. HE WAS FOUND by a neighbour. LAST NIGHT I went on to your site so as to try and update this information and no longer record him as missing. I COULD NOT EVEN GET IN TO MY ACCOUNT AS YOU NEVER SENT ME A 6 DIGIT ACCESS CODE!
I then did other searches on other databases as I would if I were a vet, and my cat's microchip displayed as not found/unregistered!
HAVE YOU NO SHAME? YOU TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A DESPERATE OWNER WITH A LOST CAT, TOOK MY MONEY, AND SCAMMED ME.
I have reported this to PAYPAL.
How is your company appearing on search engines at the top as an advert as the UK national database? THIS IS A LIE.

PLEASE REFUND THE £17 THROUGH PAYPAL IMMEDIATELY.
I AM DISGUSTED BY YOUR COMPANY & THERE MUST BE HUNDREDS OF OTHERS OUT THERE WHO HAVE NO IDEA THEIR PET'S DETAILS ARE NOT REGISTERED, AND ONLY APPEAR ON YOUR SCAM SYSTEM! OMG, HOW MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE AND HOW MANY MISSING PETS THAT HAVE NO HOPE OF BEING REUNITED IF THEY HAVE PAID MONEY TO YOU.

You need to be reported to the Police for FRAUD!

I HAVE JUST FOUND OTHER REVIEWS ABOUT THIS COMPANY HERE BY SEARCHING FOR KAYLA BOYD + SCAM. Report Scam rfid-usaorg.... and this goes back to 2016! THIS IS CRAZY, HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SCAMMED BY UK petchip.info that is the page that comes up to register! THIS IS SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And it gets worse.... CHECK THIS OUT!
Cut and paste this and stick it in your browser....
"We at Pet Chip Registry would like to address some of the complaints and confusion which has come to our attention as well as the attention of The Better Business Bureau."

"PayPal also understands that with this volume of new members on a daily basis, there will be a significant amount of refunds. Our current refunds equate to less than 3% of our total sale which is actually far less than most companies.
Hopefully, this message will reach across to the very few dissatisfied members which did not have a full understanding of the service PetChip Registry provides to further protect their beloved pets."

SO PAYPAL ARE AIDING AND ABETTING SCAMMERS WITH A HUGE VOLUME OF TRADE? Customers signing up and not realising they are registering their pet on a none accredited database that is NOT SHARED elsewhere? OMG this is so so BAD! How many pet owners have failed to be reunited with their LOST Pets because if they register on this site, their details will NOT SHOW on accredited websites AND it is the same in the USA too! SHAMEFUL, Watchdog, advertising standards, this has to stop! NO WHERE DO THEY SAY THAT YOUR PETS DETAILS WILL ONLY APPEAR ON "THEIR" DATABASE.... "contact information submitted by any pet owner who desires an extra layer of protection for online searchable purposes".... IT IS NOT AN EXTRA LAYER OF PROTECTION Petchipregistry, IT IS A USELESS LAYER OF PROTECTION for which you are charging and misleading owners, most of whom are still in the DARK, even now!

THANKS FOR THE REFUND, AND THANKS FOR THE RUDE EMAIL KAYLA BOYD and for admitting "We have no affiliation with any third party database, nor do we share your information, nor do we claim to be a part of the Government."
WELL PUT THAT IN BLACK AND WHITE THEN ON YOUR HOME PAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not: "United Kingdom's Pet Microchip Registration Database" as is coming up in your PAID Google advert and Other search engines!

A scam- do not use to register your pet microchip

This is a fraudulent company as mentioned on Bruce Forsyth's Vets get scanning facebook page. I paid £15 via Paypal after this company came up as the top website in a website search (as an Ad) and added my cat's details. It represents itself on the website as 'the UK national database'.But, it is not a defra-approved database and could lead to you being fined if registering a dog on this and not a defra-approved one. I used their own microchip search link and entered my cat's mcrochip details and she came up as an unregistered pet. I'm now chasing a refund from Paypal.

SCAM

This is a scam - they charge money but do not actually update the registration of your pet. In the event of your pet going missing this would be useless. I registered my pet a year ago and have only just discovered this is a scam and my pet has not been registered to my details for the last year.

This company is not recognised by the UK government as being up to their standards and therefore if you register with this company you can be fined £500 as your pet is essentially not registered at all.

I have spoken to other pet microchip databases (which are approved as genuine by the UK government) and they have all said the same about this website - “scam”.

Although probably not strictly illegal - this is not the site you are looking for - instead visit petlog.org.uk which is the official Pet Log site. This one will take your money and record the change in their database, but it will NOT change the Pet Log database. You have been warned!

Scammers

Scammers, do not go near this company!

Do not register your dogs microchip with them!

When I received my PETtrac microchip pack from my new puppy's breeder I headed to their website. I was unknowingly re-directed to petchip and registered her there and paid £15 via Paypal...

Shortly after that I called PETtrac for something, only to be told that I had been duped...

I've had to cancel and renew my bank card, and have reported Pet Chip to Paypal.

I have emailed petchip to tell them what I thought of them and received some very angry emails back from them. Good thing is they refunded me and removed me from their system, win!

I'd still stay v very clear of them!

This Company is a scam!!!!!!!!

Steer well clear of this Company!!!!!!
We were charged £18.00 last year to update our new address for our cat's Microchip.
Unfortunately our cat has gone missing & this Company has referred us to 'Petlog' to report our missing cat but Petlog has never heard of PetChip Registry & only had our previous address on their database so we were charged a further £17.00 to update our address so as we could report our cat as missing.
I have sent 2 emails to PetChip Registry regarding my concerns but have not received any replies.
This Company is a scam!!!!!!!!!!

Appears to be fake, a scam. Do not use.

Last week I set out to register my newly rehomed dog with their Microchip as required by law.
On entering the Microchip number I had not noticed that it defaulted straight to my other dog's number.
As I was very poorly at the time, I also had not realised that Petchip is a completely different company to Petlog.
This was all realised upon making the payment.
The money was taken via my PayPal account immediately.
I have received no confirmation, acknowledgement or any other email of the Microchip account I have set up.
I have received no acknowledgement of the payment made.
When I try to access my account on the petchip website I cannot. It appears as though I have never set up any account.
The only evidence of my dealings with petchip is the payment taken from me showing on my PayPal account.
I have contacted Petchip through the website and separately by email. There is no telephone number.
My messages have so far not been acknowledged.
Both dogs are now correctly logged with Petlog, as intended.
I am now pursuing a refund of the payment through PayPal, through a dispute/claim.
