I had a very disappointing experience with this company. The dress I received did not match the description or the photos on the website (the color was clearly different).
When I contacted customer service, they acknowledged the issue but refused to offer a proper solution. Instead of honoring my legal right to a full refund, they repeatedly tried to push me into accepting a partial refund (10–20%) or store credit (up to 75%)—but only if I kept the item.
They also discouraged returning the product by claiming they are not responsible if the return shipment gets lost or damaged. This creates unnecessary pressure and is not in line with EU consumer protection laws.
Overall, the process felt misleading and designed to avoid refunds rather than help customers. I would strongly advise others to be cautious before ordering.

I purchased an article of clothing which was falsely advertised. The material was different from advertised, an inferior, cheaper material, was in poor condition and arrived late. I fought very hard to gain a refund. I was offered much less than I originally paid. I refused the offer.

Yes I am stupid and yes they are oplichters. Just because the shop is called “Amsterdam” doesn’t mean it’s not China, dear friends. It took 3 weeks to arrive from supposed Amsterdam to Den Haag. And the absolute cherry on top? The vastly different look to what was expected. I wish I could attach photo of what was ordered versus what arrived for your amusement. Be warned and please avoid ordering from here!

The product took 2 weeks to arrive. On the website you cannot see any product/ material details. It is terrible synthetic quality and does not look like the pictures. If you want to return it you have to pay 60-100 euro because it came from China and not from Amsterdam!!! They offer you 10-20% cash back if you don't return it to compensate you.

Do not buy anything from Velora Amsterdam. Terrible quality. They order from China. They said the bag is 100% leather but it is plastic. They don't want to send me a retour label. 😡😡😡

It stole 500 euros of us. It is a scam. The person running it is a thief. Report to the police!!!

I ordered a dress from Velora-Amsterdam.com in September for €84.95, expecting decent quality — but what I received was very cheap material and badly sewn, nothing like the photos.

I returned it within the shop’s stated return period, paying around 30€ because although it claims to be a Dutch shop so European the item was asked me to return it in China but now — at the end of January — they still have not refunded me. They claim the item “arrived in China and is stuck at customs” and refuse to process my refund because of that.
This is completely unacceptable: I followed their return instructions, returned the dress on time, and yet I still don’t have my money back after almost five months.
Buyers beware: based on many other customer reports, shipping and returns are handled in a misleading way, quality is low, and refunds are often blocked,even when you return the item on time.

Do not order from this website! It took to long to deliver the item and in the end is the worst material ever, made in China :(

I ordered a dress but the color was different of the photo. So i wanted to send it back. My money was send back quikely and communication about it very well. So my experience of Velora- Amsterdam finaly was a good one.

I ordered an item from Velora Amsterdam and would never recommend to use this service for 3 reasons:
1) Even though it says Amsterdam, the item comes from China and it took 3 weeks to receive it!
2) the pictures on the website and reality are 2 different things. The quality is super cheap and low.
3) return - you must return yourself to China and pay for it. The shipment cost could be higher thank the item itself ( in my case).

Hope it will help not to step into it for others as I did.

Do not order from here . I ordered a Barista cup on November 07 and it is now December 22nd and have yet to receive it . This place is a scam . Will place a complaint on Better Business Bureau. The cup was not cheap it was over $30 !

Scamming site, gives the impression of purchasing from a European shop, promised speedy delivery with local carries (bpost, PostNL). Once order confirmed, I received a Yunexpress tracking from China. Impossible to reach them to cancel the order, total disrespect of European online purchase protection and scandalous return policies at own risk and cost. AVOID, this should be taken down and considered CRIMINAL

This is misleading customers a website presented as Dutch, yet the clothes are shipped from China and look nothing like the pictures. My order arrived after three weeks, and I want to return it immediately. I have emailed three times asking for a return label, and each time I receive every possible answer except the one I actually need. How long do I have to beg for something so simple?

I clearly stated that I want a 100% refund for my order, yet they are talking about offering me 5%. Excuse me? Where is the limit? This is unacceptable. Shameful.

I ordered something made of linen, came to me cotton and polyester. I wanted to send it back, they gave me the return address on my own risk in China. Complete scam!

The items are completely useless — the quality is extremely poor. I don’t recommend anyone to order from this store. They even ask you to return items all the way to China! Highly not recommended — this is the worst shop I’ve ever bought from.

They missed the shipping deadline meaning I got the item too late. Quality of product is terrible, already when I unpacked it there were pieces that had broken off in the package. Lastly, if you want to return an item the cost is covered by the client, but also you need to send the item back to CHINA! Deceptive, given the brand is called Velora Amsterdam and claims to be based in the Netherlands. A terrible customer experience from start to finish. Do not shop here.

Do NOT buy from them. They make it seem like you will receive your product within a few days of ordering it. I got it 3 weeks later from China!!!!!! Once i opened it I immediately sent a mail to ask for details to return it. The dress is trash and not worth the amount I paid. The material and quality are horrendous, thin and cheap. And now I am getting a run around and it’s taking long to get details of where to return it or if I will even get my money back.
It’s not worth the trouble buying from them !!!!!
