My Son has a niche zero which he received for a high school graduation gift when going off to college. He is home for the summer and life is so much better now that I can use his niche zero grinder instead of my completely lame inferior burr grinder by some other brand. I now have access to an easy to use, precise and powerful grinder where I can weigh out my beans, listen to them quietly grind and flow into the stainless cup and then tap them into my portafilter. It’s an absolute joy. It’s like the difference between riding the bus to work and having a car and covered parking space at the office.

I can adjust the grind in seconds and test small amounts of beans for quick checks. You learn quickly that you can dial in a perfect extraction when it doesn’t take twisting some difficult to turn worm-gear knob to change your grind. And zero retention is really the standard. It’s true any beans can become “clumpy” when ground fine but only a small tap on the side of the niche zero gives you the final gram of espresso grounds falling directly into the cup. It’s just a joy to use.

After five years of daily use the motor gave out.

I filled out a contact form, got a response from a real human in under an hour and the confirmation of the spare parts being sent in 19 minutes from that.

From now on this is my example for how customer support _should_ be.

Have had the Niche Zero for about 3 years. Recently the motor started acting out and just stopped working. After a few emails with the Niche team and some guided troubleshooting, we concluded that the motor needed replacing. The team put together a very reasonable quote for a new motor and in 2 days I had it already installed and back to grinding the coffee beans.

Had an issue with my grinder. I emailed the Niche team and within an hour I had a reply back from them with suggested steps. The issue was quickly identified and addressed effectively

Super fast response when I had my first problem - nearly 5 years after purchase! The motor stopped mid grind, I emailed Niche yesterday (New Zealand time) and James responded first thing yesterday morning (UK time) with suggestion (+ guide sheet) to disassemble to check loose screws at base of motor - found one screw completely out and other 3 were loose, Tightened all, reassembled and grinder ground one dose then refused to start for the next.
Wrote back to Niche and first thing next day (ie today) James responded offering to courier new motor and PCB for 50 GBP including freight. Order now placed and James responded saying will ship today. 10% of purchase price for repair after nearly 5 years operation grinding 3 to 10 15g espressos per day.
Excellent service is just a part of the sales equation. If my Niche Zero catastrophically failed (broke beyond repair) I would replace it immediately, because:
1. Reliable grind setting - I home roast 2 different beans and that's all I've drank for past couple years. I can flip between the 2 grind settings with confidence (I have a Decent DE1 so I know from the brew graphs how each grind performs relative to the previous).
2. Quiet enough to converse while operating - my previous grinder was a Baratza Sette 270 and 2 months with that convinced me to find something much much quieter.
3. Very low retention (but I think everyone recognises this by now).
4. Easy to dissemble for cleaning and repair.
I rarely donate my time to review products - the reason I've taken the time now is an appreciation to the Niche team for their responsive effort to resolve my problem.

I’ve been using my Niche Zero for around four years now, mainly for espresso. I’ve owned several high-end grinders, but the Niche stands out for its flavour clarity, ease of use, quick cleaning, and incredibly precise grind adjustment—better than many top-tier models.

After years of heavy daily use (about 12 shots a day), the motor began to fail. I was worried about needing costly repairs abroad, but to my surprise, the design is brilliantly simple and user-friendly. Disassembly and maintenance are straightforward—no technician needed.

Support was outstanding. James first helped me try a brush cleaning, and when the issue persisted, he quickly arranged a full motor and gearbox replacement. The price, including DHL shipping to Israel, was more than fair. Excellent product, exceptional service.

I've had my Niche for half a year now and the thing is built like a tank and the grind is extremely consistent.

Recently also had the pleasure of dealing with customer support and all my worries were resolved in 1 day.

I bought grinder 4 years ago and was very happy with it. It started to behave oddly and then I contacted support - they were very helpful and I was able to get faulty part for reasonable price.

Bought on 06/05/2021 so it's coming up to four years of use. I think this makes my feedback more worthwhile and TrustPilot's limit to one year doesn't make sense.

I remember it being an immediate step up from a cheap Delonghi grinder, yet the first time I cleaned it I noticed it was misaligned slightly with a pin jammed in slightly wrong between the burrs - after fixing that, it got even better still and I haven't had a problem since. There's not much in my life I can use for this long without finding fault, but the NZ performs its function admirably and is a joy to have in my simple everyday routine. One caution I'd give is that it's for espresso grind and does not excel when grinding coarser for filter. Perhaps there are new grinders that, like the Niche, have low retention, inoffensive noise and excellent results, but this is the OG single dose grinder perfect for home baristas.

Responsive support team who helped me troubleshoot an issue with my niche grinder after 4 years of use. I had to replace the motor gearbox. It costed me £30 with shipping. Overall satisfied with the experience and glad I did not have to replace the whole grinder which would have cost me much more!

I’ve had my Niche for three years. I recently had a tiny issue and emailed for help. James came back super-quick and gave me clear advice, making the issue easy to solve. It’s good know the people are as good as the product!

I recently picked up the NZ and it’s honestly been a huge upgrade!! The build quality is solid, and the grind consistency is on point and coming from my old grinder the difference in my espresso shots is clear. For a conical burr it really surprises me how balanced the shots are and yet I still get that syrupy consistency. If you're looking to level up your espresso game then Niche Zero is definitely worth it!!
