Change from white to blue terrible
I have used sensoyne for years, however The change from white paste to blue on mutli care was terrible decision. It leaves residue in the mouth, the worse part is I bought them in bulk. I am looking for alternative
I have been using Arm and Hammer baking…
I have been using Arm and Hammer baking soda for about 30 years, in December I had a problem with a tooth playing up with cold drinks (don't drink warm drinks) so I bought Sensodyne Rapid Relief, after a few weeks no different so went to the dentist who told me to rub toothpaste twice a day on sensitive tooth, after a few weeks fantastic results, I took this product on holiday just in case of flare up. I bought Repair and Protect and used it before I went away only to discover I had left it at home so when i got to the Airport I bought another tube of Repair and Protect but when I opened it it is the blue version. Not only does it not clean the plaque off my teeth it doesn't freshen the breath and like other people have said they are left with a gritty residue on the teeth. Are you meant to swallow silica?
Cannot wait to get home and Arm and Hammer

Don't like blue gel
Don't like blue gel. Yet another added chemical to make it blue?
Gel doesn't last- is this for financial gain instead of improving customer teeth health?
Blue gel has a sweeter taste and actually hurt my sensitive teeth.
Please bring back white toothpaste with less sugar. Want my teeth and mouth to feel refreshed after brushing.
Awful
Been using sensodyne repair and protect toothpaste for years and it was working great, but its changed from the white paste to the blue gel which is awful ive been in agony all day with my tooth sensitivity from now on I will be buying another brand of sensitive toothpaste.
Sensodyne Blue Gel
I used the white Repair and Protect for years. When I bought a new tube it turned out to be the blue one. I tried it on 2 separate occasions and it irritated my gums, caused mouth ulcers and tooth sensitivity increased. Close examination of product boxes allowed me to purchase the white paste again (they are still offering a white version in the UK at the moment) and the problems disappeared.
Formula change is terrible
I have been the repair and protect for 8 years for my sensitive teeth and it has always been great. Since the formula change I’ve noticed my teeth becoming so sensitive again. It’s so disheartening that they’ve changed what was a great product.
This is outrageous
This is outrageous now. 2 months without the original toothpaste and im contemplating having all my teeth removed! i’m in so much pain with sensitivity now the formula changed and it no longer works! I just wanted you to understand how disappointed i am and how much discomfort this has caused me! Please read these reviews and revert back to the old formula. I would happily pay £10 a tube for the old stuff.
Blue Gel is horrendous
Since Sensodyne changed their toothpaste from the original white paste to the new blue translucent gel formula, the product has become awful.
I used Sensodyne Rapid Relief for around 15 years and it completely solved the tooth sensitivity I used to suffer from. It was a product I trusted and relied on daily.
However, as soon as the formula changed to the blue gel I started experiencing problems. Within just a couple of days my gums became sore and irritated to the point that I had to stop using it, and spent months trying to find the last remaining white pastes.
When they all disappeared O tried persevering with the new formula in the hope my gums would adjust. While the irritation has eased slightly , the tooth sensitivity that Sensodyne used to control so effectively for years has now returned with a vengeance.
It’s extremely disappointing to see such a reliable product decline so dramatically after a so-called “improved” formula.
Terrible new blue gel
I been using Sensodyne rapid relief for years however since they have changed to the new ‘blue gel’ my teeth are now really sensitive again. So disappointing as this toothpaste was really great until the blue gel appeared. After being a loyal customer for years I will now be buying a different brand.
Terrible change from white paste to…
Terrible change from white paste to gloopy blue, no where near as good for my sensitive teeth, why change it? Please change it back!
Sensodyne Sensitivity and Gum reformulation
I've been using Sensodyne Sensitivity and Gum for years and never contemplated anything else because I was so satisfied. The white paste has now been reformulated into a blue gel which is horrible, awful, unusable. It stays in a lump while brushing so at the end you spit out half the gel in one glob. By the time you get to the end of the tube, the remaining gel has firmed up even more and is impossible to spread around your teeth. Did they even do any market testing? I can't buy this ever again.
So upset that Sensodyne repair and…
So upset that Sensodyne repair and protect formula turned blue and doesn’t feel pasty anymore. It’s like a sugary blue gel. It was my favourite ever toothpaste. I will have to look for a new brand. What a shame 😳 please haleon bring back my favourite toothpaste 😢😢😢
No longer a sensodyne customer
I agree with all the other reviewers. This new blue gunk is useless for sensitive teeth and does not adhere to the teeth at all. I will not be buying sensodyne in the future after decades of being a faithful customer of theirs.
Why oh why have they changed it
Why oh why have they changed it, my sensitivity is back worse than ever…awful!!
I hate the new blue gel that sensodyne…
I hate the new blue gel that sensodyne have replaced repair and protect with.. Crazy! Why not just create a new type of sensodyne toothpaste with that gel and leave the original repair and protect as it was..a white paste that customers liked and that really helped with sensitive teeth... This new one does not work or help.
Rubbish and Annoyed!
I’ve been using Sensodyne Repair and Protect Whitening for years, and I’ve always got on really well with the white formula. The other blue version which I brought by mistake always made the skin on the inside of my mouth shed, and this has now had the same effect. I can’t believe they’ve just changed it without any kind of warning on the box that it’s new, and they seem to have downgraded the quality as well. Really disappointed!! Will be finding a different toothpaste from now on, and I think many other customers like myself will need to switch brands - so they haven’t done themselves any favours.
Disappointment
I have been a loyal user of your Multicare range for many years and have always been willing to pay a premium for what I believed was a high-quality and effective product. The previous formula worked extremely well for me, and I was very satisfied with its performance.
However, since the formula change to the new gel version, I have experienced an unexpected and concerning reaction. The inside lining of my mouth has begun to peel, leaving my teeth and gums feeling significantly more sensitive and uncomfortable. This has never occurred with the previous formula.
I am genuinely disappointed, as I trusted your brand for consistent quality and care. As a result of this change, I now find myself needing to search for an alternative product.

New formula is not as effective for my sensitive teeth, need to go back to the original formula
I am very disappointed that you have changed my toothpaste
I am very disappointed that you have changed this toothpaste when I was very satisfied with the original. If you feel the need to change it and make it blue for whatever reason why not make it optional and give us a choice of buying what we prefer and did not need improving original repair and protect toothpaste 😡😡😡a not happy consumer
Blue slime
Blue slime. I can't imagine what someone was thinking to replace excellent and popular toothpaste with blue slime. It's in the bin and I have changed brands
