Worth a second look?

May 2018: I’ve upgraded my review from 1 star to 3 having received a replacement unit after 18 months. It was sent express as soon as their new support team verified that the origin was dead on arrival.

It’s a great product, probably worth 5 stars, but I cannot forgive the lack of response until a few weeks ago so I’m splitting the difference- good luck 3D Simo, I hope you’ve fixed your internal issues and go on to be very successful.

Title: Do not waste your money
It’s a shame - great product, zero execution . Purchased a unit for Xmas 2016 which was shipped but dead on arrival. Despite regular emails and responding to a promotion mid 2017 from “david@“ I’ve not had any response from the company. They have zero support, zero customer service, zero stars.

Scam!

I enthusiastically backed this product at its development stage on Kickstarter. I received neither the offered reward nor any response to my messages. The fact that the company is not bankrupt and still sells this product suggests that they ripped off Kickstarter backers. I would recommend anyone to steer away from this unethical company and its products. You simply can't trust them to provide a decent service.

Do not buy

If I could give zero I would. Bought this pen for my son's birthday present. The 3d printing part has never worked since the day we got it, it won't feed the filament in. Have tried so many times to contact them and no response. Don't waste your money on this garbage product and garbage company.

I'd give them ZERO stars if I could

I'd give them ZERO stars if I could. They stole Kickstarter backers money and failed to deliver and have the audacity to not even provide an update or a refund. Horrible people and very unfortunate as I was really looking forward to having one of these items.

my order does not arrive

my order does not arrive. It is supposed to have arrived on August 28, 2017 in Arequipa, Peru, but still comes out on TNT in "picking up" state. I have tried to communicate with you through your web page, emails, messages to this same page, but I do not get an answer. This seems like it was a scam.

Same for me here !!
I first received an old 3dsimo which never worked then order the new model and was asked to return the old one for an exchange and since then (mid june 2017) never received anything or got any news !!!!
I did send a commentary on their facebook page which was tagged as undesirable so someone is still running it but still no news.
That's too bad because I think the new 3dsimo should be a good product.

I orderded for a 3dsimo mini

I orderded for a 3dsimo mini, paid for it, got a tracking number from the courier company and the 3dsimo team and I am yet to receive the product! The courier company says the product was never collected, 3dsimo team never respond to any message or email, they do not have a telephone number and it all seems like an ongoing scam! I am planning to initiate action against 3dsimo, if you have been cheated and want to join me, please do.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I hve been trying for 4 months to resolve a problem with my son's Christmas present. 4 months and he STILL can't use their crappy product. AVOID 3Dsimo. Never Ever again!!!

Still waiting for shipment

I wish I saw all the reviews here before I ordered my 3d simo around Jan 2016. I even ordered extra fillings.
Of course nothing was delivered. Still they're saying everyone that it's being taking care of. I think they're just trying to hold me back from demanding the refund.
Update - I have withdrawl my payment through the credit card company

Not trust worthy and avoidance

Also a Kickstarter backer. I received a faulty shipping number that was never activated. They have stopped replying to emails. No longer checking Kickstarter and they have even started deleting posts from their social media from Kickstarter backers - they are avoiding the mess they've made and actively trying to hide it from potential future customers.

May 10, 2018 Edit: Message sent with requested information. I will update if I receive a response, or if I don't get one in a reasonable amount of time.

May 15th, 2018 Edit: Second message sent as no response was received from the first message. Looks like they are still up to their old tricks.

May 15, 2018 Edit2: Confirmed, I have received their email. Will update again when the tracking number is received and properly activated.

May 25, 2018 Edit 3: Finally have a working tracking number. 3 year journey, but 3dsimo finally appears to have some of their customer service kinks worked out. I've updated the stars slightly (want to see how the pens work before I update fully).

May 30th, 2018 Edit 4: Pens and most of the accessories have arrived. We are still missing part of the order. Waiting to hear from them regarding the missing parts.

May 30th, 2018 Edit 5: Correction!! The order is complete.

Some of the filament is inside the actual 3dsimo boxes! So if you are thinking you are missing some check there first. Since we got two pens it looked like we were missing a good deal. But I found it upon closer inspection underneath the insert holding the plugin.

If I could give no stars it would be more appropriate.

I am a contributor to 3Disimo's 2015 Kickstarter campaign to get this project off the ground and have 3Disimo produced for sale. The campaign raised almost $230,000.00 USD and had 1822 original backers. The majority of those backers have not seen their 3Disimo's shipped even though the creator has product for sale on their website. Many of those few that did receive a product, received a faulty or poorly constructed product. When they returned them for repair they never heard from the company again. Many backers have had little or no correspondence from this company. Do not waste your money by trying to purchase from this comapny.

Terrible customer service

I have waited almost two months for 3Dsimo pen to arrive. It still has not come. I tried to contact the company, and all they provide is an email address. I took took about a week for them to respond to me, and they said that there werected some manufactureringredients delays but I should expect it soon. A week later I get an email saying that they have shipped the product. After waiting for a while I talked with the shipping company who said that 3Dsimo never finished filling out the order forms with them so they could never recieve my order. I have been trying to contact 3Dsimo via their customer service email and through the email of the employee who had originally answered my first question. They have not responded to my emails at all for over a week. This company is unprofessional and their treatment of me, a customer, is unacceptable. I am being ignored and I have paid for a device I was excited about, but now fear may never come. I would recommend never doing business with 3Dsimo if possible, their customers service and treatment of customers has been a nightmare.
