Click4Reg Ltd | Private Number Plates 

Bought a plate from the web-site on 13th Sept 2023 and despite lots of excuses and telling me they will keep checking todays post absolutely nothing received.

I would not use this company again and will look to raise a credit card dispute to get a refund now.

Challenged two days later to prove I was a genuine customer :)…IF only they put the same effort into delivering what they were paid for.

Ordered a very similar plate direct from DVLA after 5pm last Thursday and received the certificate the following Monday - don’t ever believe the excuses these guys make up it’s all bs.

I sold my reg to Click4Reg in March for £7K, but by June still had not been paid. Contacted Click4Reg to tell them I had checked online & that the reg had been transferred to another vehicle back in April - they told me the reason for delay in paying me was due to them having to wait for confirmation from DVLA. After countless calls & emails with Dakota & Millie, constantly being told delay in payment was due to waiting for confirmation from DVLA, I phoned DVLA myself.

I was informed by DVLA that they do NOT confirm transfers to anyone - all anyone has to do (including Click4Reg) to check when a reg has gone onto a vehicle is to check on the government website. I contacted Click4Reg, told them this but they still said they had to wait to hear from DVLA. Few hours later I got a call from Dakota telling me they had just received confirmation from DVLA (!!?!) & I would be paid 21st July. I did not get paid.

So I sent complaint email to Click4Reg & 2 days later Vanessa phoned to tell me she would phone me again in 2 weeks to give me a date I would get paid, this time excuse being they were having google & competitor fraud which was affecting their finances. Nobody contacted me.

Resigned myself to the fact that Click4Reg had no intention of paying me.
Thankfully I have Legal Expenses Cover included with my home insurance so I got in touch with them. They took on the case, sent a letter of claim to Click4Reg in September & in October I received from Click4Reg, via Bank Transfer £7,000 plus £250 compensation for delay in receiving payment.

So if you're having problems being paid from Click4Reg, check to see if you have legal expenses cover on your home insurance, if so I recommend you use it. Be VERY wary of using Click4Reg to sell your reg & please read the 1-star reviews which in my experience appear to be truer and more accurate of how the company operates than the 5-star reviews which appear short, vague & general.

AVOID at all costs. Seriously this company is a joke. I had ordered a registration and was told that the documents would arrive with me shortly and they had been shipped. Two weeks later and they tell me that they don’t have the registration anymore and the DVLA has taken it back and they would refund me. After 3 more weeks I still haven’t been given a refund and have been told lies and excuses as to why not. So they stole £1000 of me and aren’t giving it back after over a month of phone calls and lies. Seriously AVOID i am still disputing with them.

Absolute atrocious company. Got told the plate that I had paid for was no longer available and if I wanted an alternative. I requested a refund and told that was fine. Over three months now I’ve been chasing for my money back, continually getting the same fob off and BS each time. Every time I phone it’s the same crap excuse and then nobody gets back to you. Getting to the point now my only option is legal action!!!!

Bought a private plate -had great contact through the process-new number on my car within 10 days-thoroughly recommend this business!

This firm is not to be trusted - absolute scam artists. I sold a private reg to them back in April and I have only just been paid now in November.

I believe this firm had absolutely no intention to pay me for the reg - it was only when I started legal proceedings the ‘accountants team’ suddenly had a payment date for me

Anyone in a similar position I advise you seek help from the small claim courts for payment

I payed click4reg over £600 for a private plate, after waiting weeks I purchased the same plate direct from dvla £100 cheaper and arrived with in a week. I've been trying to get a refund for months with no success. My own fault I should of Googled them and checked reviews first. DO NOT USE CLICK4REG

Sold me a number plate they didn’t have. Now refusing to give me my refund back. Been 9 days. Promised it after 7 days. Manager doesn’t call back. I’ve called every two hours for two days to get to speak to her. Nothing from her despite her team saying she will call me. Do not buy from here. I have reported them for fraud.

Update- now the 10th November and still no refund! What an absolute scam company... only way to get your money back is to go to the claims court. Will update when necessary

After waiting nearly 3 months for my Retention Certificate, I was concerned to see my plate I had bought was still available on other sellers and the DVLA…

Initially when speaking to Click4Reg they kept telling me they would speak to their tech team to see why the plate was still live. I was also told that apparently my order never went through properly as there was a technical error. I was disappointed at first but accepted this. I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

Then when I still didn’t receive any updates I eventually asked for a refund which they accepted and apologised that I was so disappointed with the service. I was advised a refund can take 14 working days. However, it's now 15 working days and I still haven't received my refund.

Spoke to them today and they said they need to speak to the accounts team, and they're waiting for the accounts team to get back to them.

I bought my plate direct from DVLA in the end and my certificate came within three/four days. I will keep the review updated

bought a reg threw click 4 reg back in july, unknown to me my step dad had already purchased it threw dvla as a surprise for my birthday which was in august. they phoned after 2 weeks saying that particular registration wasnt availible and asked if i would like another, i said if you can just refund me that would be good, nearly 4 months later after getting thrown from pillar to post and excuse after excuse i still havent got my money back, totally disgusting, to hit the nail on the head when you enter my reg in there search bar they are still saying its available they are clearly just middle men taking a cut off the top and clearly dont have an active database threw the dvla. after weeks and weeks of excuse after excuse and false promises i think i finally except ive been crooked out of £325 for everyone else having the same experience i feel your pain, dont waste your hard earned money and get the run around off these so called legit people as you will just get your fingers burnt always check the reviews before clicking that button.

Purchased a number plate back in nov 2022 for a Xmas present for my partner still waiting for plates or refund sent a lot off emails as they don’t answer the phone and blaming the dvla do not use the company is a joke

Be very careful of this company.
I bought a number plate at the start of September for my wife 40th in October and I still haven't received the number plate certificate now, it's 7 weeks. I've contacted them numerous times and they still haven’t solved the issue. I’ve even looked on DVLA and my numberplate I'm after is still for sale on there.
I was on hold for 40 minutes so I hung up and selected a different option for selling a numberplate and somebody answered my call within 30 seconds. They keep blaming the DVLA that they haven’t sent the correct paperwork or certificate yet.

I sent my paperwork to sell my registration in January 2023.....It is now 26th OCTOBER and they still have failed to pay me the money they owe me! I have rung them and emailed. I just get fobbed off that they have to check with the accounts department. Do not use this company!!!
