DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Absolute joke of a company. I purchased a £700 plate in March & never received any paperwork. The same plate was still available to purchase elsewhere online after a few weeks of waiting. When I messaged to find out what was going on I was told their system had an error… after waiting for another few weeks I eventually asked for my money back & was repeatedly lied to about when the refund would be processed. Continuous lies about their “payment system” changing & numerous people I’d spoken to on the phone fobbed me off. I waited from March to OCTOBER i ended up having to take them to the small claims court to get my money back, which they waited until the last possible moment to pay. I have no idea how this company is still getting positive reviews as they clearly have numerous issues with systems/payments & LIES! Do. Not. Use.

Very poor service

My daughter purchased a number plate only to be told it was no longer available. They tried to sell her a different one which she didn’t want - three weeks later and still no refund!!! Not impressed seeing as they told her would take 4/5 days. Quick enough to take the money though. £550!

We were sent an email from Click4reg saying we were receiving the money owed to us since March this year

We were sent an email from click4 regLtd to tell us we would be paid today of money owed us from March 23 after months of ring ing and emailing we thought they might be actually sending us the money so we decided to trust them this time as we haven’t actually been given a date before of the money to be paid to us of course we haven’t received anything and they said they would get the manager to ring us back today(13th Oct) it is obviously another lie so we have no option but to take them to the county court for payment owed to us , very stressful experience and the money is over £1000 they owe us which we cannot afford to lose as we needed the money, please don’t trust your private plate with this company as you will be never be paid

Still awaiting refund!

Paid £15 for a valuation. Decided it wasn’t worth selling. 3 and a half weeks later I’m still awaiting my refund. 1 phone call, 2 emails, various excuses and still no refund !

Failed purchase.

After waiting two weeks for my Retention Certificate, I was concerned to see my plate I had bought was still available on other sellers and the DVLA…

After speaking to Click4Reg, apparently my order never went through properly for some reason, a technical error. I eventually asked for a refund, so not ideal all-around. I have been advised a refund can take two weeks. However, I have just checked with the bank, and there is no pending refund yet, so the bank are taking it further.

I bought my plate direct from DVLA in the end (cheaper as well, I found!) and my certificate came in three days, so I don’t think there is a delay at the DVLA.

I would like to say that Dakota and Vanessa had great customer service, but I think internal processes and tech issues etc have been the problem. Not the people I spoke to directly.

UPDATE: Someone contacted me to say that the refund will definitely be with me - I will update when this has been received, so readers of this review will know I have been given it.

UPDATE: Refund received from Click4Reg

No way to conduct business

No way to conduct business. I promised to update this site and so I am being true to my word. I did get my payment today. Finally!! I want to feel grateful because it has caused so much angst and unnecessary suffering. But then I realise, I should not be feeling grateful. This is money owed to me and it should have been paid to me weeks ago. In the process of trying to access what is owed to me, the staff are politeness personified…to the extent that it is unnerving. Are they genuine and trained to blindly respond, or are they complicit? Either way, it is dark and unpleasant to be on the wrong side of the receiving end. I cannot recommend this company. My experience has been traumatic AND they have now paid me my money.

10 months on and still no money

My number plate sold at the end of 2022, the new car it’s allocated to has been driving around with it on since December 22nd 2022, and yet despite many many patient emails and phone calls I have never received the money for my plate. Avoid at all costs, this is not the place to sell your plate.

November 2023 Edit…. Finally received the money they owed me but only after forcing the payment with a successful small claims court claim.

I have still not received money owed.

I was promised payment on 22 September. £9,000. I have not received it and I am now in a desperate position.

Somebody has paid for my registration and is now the new registered owner as of at least 2 months ago. The transaction is not complete. I have not received payment for the transaction despite excuses and extremely convincing promises.

I will keep this site posted.

UNLAWFUL BUSINESS

Vanessa at click 4 reg contacted me roughly 3 weeks ago to notify they had sold my reg. I have never met a company who contacts on a Sunday evening. Nonetheless, after research I can confirm, Vanessa is the directors wife. I agreed to sell the reg until I saw the diabolical reviews and absolute horrific stories about people not being paid. Vanessa kept reaching out me (obviously desperate) to take my plate, most likely place on retention and for me never to receive payment. I spoke with her about the bad reviews and she told me it’s just a few people that have been disappointed because of delays and to add to that, the company bank accounts were changed but that is all sorted now. God how this lady is a pathological liar and sleeps at night is beyond me. I never sent any logbook as I’m far from naive. Anyhow, she called me a few days later, stating the buyer is chasing the sale. Come on Vanessa, if you inform people of a transaction and timescales, the average person does not chase a couple of days later unless they have doubts. Where she slipped up was that she told me payment was taken on that same day by the buyer. Another colleague told me it was taken the next morning (Monday). The next time I picked up the phone to click4reg Vanessa was then calling on unknown caller ID. This is when I knew something wasn’t quite right. I questioned her again about the constant bad reviews day after day. She then told me that it’s someone she probably knows/ a competitor and that she’s had to lock down all social media as they’ve written reviews about her and her husband who own the business and spoke about cars which they rented on a family holiday. I never bought into it, I mean it’s easy to tell when someone is born to lie. Anyway, busy with work I didn’t take any action. Vanessa and her team called me over 8+ times, predominantly Vanessa on Unknown Caller ID each time, at very peculiar hours. I would just mute the phone and listen to some more of her lies but the majority I just left her to talk to herself. I sold a plate to them years ago when the director was the same but I do believe the manager of the business was an old director who potentially sold the company, he was called Ben, I still have emails from him to date. Click4Reg will not pay you because they are evidently in financial difficulty. I could not begin to tell you what they are doing with the plates they are buying. Most likely building a portfolio before they move to a new company and sell the plates on after declaring bankruptcy. Companies house shows how they owe a loan which I can assume was taken in COVID, and there is a charge order against the company. I have not only been harassed by Vanessa personally, but she has evidently taken a lot of peoples monies with no intention to return. If anything, please take civil action against click4reg and then file for a CCJ, furthering that instruct bailiffs to seize company assets and any necessary legal action following this. They wont be able to defend any claim in court and automatic judgement will be ruled in your favour should they not respond. I am so glad that I spotted the signs early and unfortunately didn’t fall into their trap. As for Vanessa, every dog has its day. Her husband wont be allowed to continue scamming for much longer, he’ll be investigated for fraud. I will be reporting to Trading Standards and HMRC, as their business accounts don’t appear to be correct. They deserve to be investigated and stop unlawfully withholding so many peoples monies. I hope the “buyer” who paid £4500 allegedly is returned their funds. I would be happy to sell but you’d have to make the offer via another site where I’ve listed my plate. Please don’t buy from this company, they’re nothing but rogue traders!!

Never sell plate via Click4Reg

Never ever sell your plate through CLICK4REG - I sold my plate through them May and still haven't been paid. Everytime they use the same excuse.... "I have noticed that the confirmations that have started coming through are for the transfers that we sent off not long before your transfer so we are hoping this will come through very soon for you."

Proper waste of time company when they promised to get payment within 10weeks, its now been 4months and still haven't got my money from the plate I sold. Useless

Thank you to the girls at click4reg for…

Thank you to the girls at click4reg for all your help with the sale of my registration plate, especially Lauren and Vanessa. There was a small delay which they kept me updated on but I can confirm that I have received my new documents and payment. Reading these reviews I never thought I would but true to Vanessa’s word I have.
