They sold my plates in November 22 and keep getting told the DVLA are holding things up and I haven’t received any payment. I am not getting regular updates unless I email them. I called their number today and their phones are off? Sent an email and got no response?

I was a little worried about selling my registration after reading some reviews. Having discussed my concerns with one of the ladies on the phone she answered my questions and put my mind at rest. I decided to go ahead with the sale and I am glad I did. The staff have kept me updated from start to finish and were patient with me when it was in fact myself that caused a slight delay by losing my documents and needing to request replacements through the Dvla. I had to wait almost 4 weeks before I could send these in to their office and luckily the buyer still went ahead. 6 weeks later They confirmed the sale was complete and gave me a payment date a couple of weeks after that which I have now received. You were right Vanessa, i hope I didn't cause too much trouble for you with the buyer. Thank you Click4reg and the team I will be sure to come back to you when I sell again. Take care Shane

Sold Registration since August 2022 and still no payment...
Listed my registration and received an offer which I accepted in August 2022. They told me the whole process would take between 6-16 weeks (along those lines) Now nearly 7 months later I have still not received my money. They keep using the same excuse and blame DVLA. I rang DVLA myself and they have told me the registration is not on my postcode anymore and have advised the company to ring them. So, I have emailed Click4Reg multiple times in this regard and the same repetitive excuse, which is 'waiting for DVLA response via email'. I have been patient and I am down £500 which is owed to me. I will be taking legal action if I am not paid by end of May. Worst customer service I have dealt with too. They do not email back until a month later and if you try ringing them they have no interest in helping. Registration ends in '399'

Good company to deal with
I was a little bit wary about buying a number plate online but I have to say click4reg made the whole process very easy. The website has a lot of information on it which was very helpful. Once I decided to purchase the registration number I was kept fully informed at every step of the process. All the girls I spoke to were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Any paperwork was always posted out very promptly and received the next day. The whole process was quick and easy. I am very happy to recommend this company for purchasing a number plate and would happily use them again. Many thanks for your help.

Good price but problems extracting payment
Good price and buyer quickly found. Payment didn’t arrive. They claimed they were waiting for confirmation from the dvla, when I phoned dvla I was told there was no such thing as confirmation, the only relevant documents they issue are v5c (log books) and retention certificates. Reporting this back to Click4reg and miraculously they had dvla confirmation and could tell me a payment date. Unfortunately the payment date didn’t result in payment and I had to threaten taking action before I then got paid. It took 2 months to be paid and a lot of aggravation. Compared to some stories on here I was lucky, but I would avoid this company in future. Having had a conversation with Click4reg, I have revised my review and star rating. My comments stand but payment was in line with their timescales and the price obtained was a good one compared to other quotes I had. So I am reasonably happy, though my reservations on the service do stand.

I am disappointed to ready your review and apologise for the trouble you have had.
Unfortunately, We do have to wait for the transfer to be confirmed as being on the buyer vehicle or retention before we can release payment otherwise the buyer is at risk of not having the registration as it could still be in your name and then you would already have the payment also. We would then be liable for the payment or the buyer would be out of pocket. I am unsure why the Dvla advised you differently and apologise for this.
We do advise that payment can take 6-10 weeks just to cover any delays that may occur, the majority of transfers complete quicker than this and can see we received your documents into the office on 8th February and payment was paid into your account on 4th April, just under 8 weeks later, within the time frames advised when the sale was agreed. I appreciate it took some time for the transfer to be confirmed and for this I apologise and I am pleased that you have confirmed that you have received your payment.

Please be aware of the lies and delay tactics this company uses.
I sold my plate through this company in dec 22. Advised due to DVLA delays would be max 10 weeks. After 16 weeks I have called DVLA myself and they advised the document update went through late Dec and my plate is now on another car. I have check this on the gov.check tax site and it is showing the V5 for the other person was updated on 29th Dec....no doubt my registration being updated on their docs. Poor poor service, people lying, delay tactics. Click4reg would have been paid for this registration number in December and have been sitting on this money and happy to blame the DVLA. I have spent a lot of time, effort and money on calls to find out when I will be paid. Took this company at face value. Feel very disillusioned and let down. Was advised last week my payment would be bacs into my bank on Monday 3rd....guess what another lie from this company. Still no payment after selling plate in Dec....now April.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I have tried to contact you today to discuss the contents of your review but, cannot seem to reach you. I am disappointed to read your review and that you are not happy with our service, we work really hard to make sure our customers are happy.
Unfortunately, we have processes we have to follow to protect not just the seller of a registration but also the buyer. We cannot release payments to sellers without this being confirmed on our systems otherwise you would have the buyers payment and they could potentially loose the registration and their payment. Once the transfer is confirmed our systems would then release a payment date. Our payments are then done in payment runs, which is the same with most corporate companies.
I appreciate you were concerned due to the delay and for this I apologise. I can see your payment was released on 3rd April as promised but was held by the bank for a fraud check which they do randomly and we have no control over this. These checks take up to 24 hours in most cases and I can confirm that the payment was showing successful and In your account on 4th April 2023. Please can you update your review to show that you have received this payment as this can be very damaging if other customers think we do not make payments which is not the case.
I apologise again for the trouble you have had and would like to be given the opportunity to show you that this is not normally the way we conduct our services.

Absolute shambles
I’ve waited 5 weeks with no communication from the company. Read all the reviews and realised they are just holding my money with no progress. I was given the same excuses as to why I hadn’t received anything. No update, no timescale and no clue. Would never use again. Deeply disappointed!!!
