Helpful, informative, the best phone shop in Tunbridge Wells (I went to them all)..
I went into Tunbridge Wells yesterday on a mission to sort out new mobile phone contracts, and I’d psyched myself up to be as thorough as possible so I could get the best and most informed deal. I did the full tour of every phone shop in town. One in particular smelled like someone had been chain smoking in there since 2003, a couple looked like they could easily have been used as sets in a post-apocalyptic zombie film, and in most of them the staff were so uninterested that I started wondering if I’d actually passed away somewhere on my mobile phone mission. Not even an “I’ll be with you in a minute” as they wandered past not acknowledging my existence.
The Three shop was clean, bright, and the staff actually acknowledged my existence. I mainly dealt with Samuel, who was genuinely lovely and somehow turned the notoriously awkward task of getting a new phone into something calm and easy. He was clearly trying to get me the best deal for my needs rather than pushing the priciest thing on the shelf. When I popped back in later after deciding Three was the one I wanted to go with, I also spoke to Mike while Sam was with another customer, and he was just as great.
Sure, Three wasn’t the absolute cheapest, but honestly, for customer service that makes you feel like an actual person, I’d happily pay the small extra amount a month. Not just phone zombies churning out contracts. Sam and Mike 100% deserve a bonus for being great at their jobs and for transforming what is usually a soul-draining errand into a surprisingly pleasant experience.
Would absolutely recommend.
