The only positive was the appointment came through quickly after my doctors referral and was at one of my local doctors surgeries.
The appointment itself was terrible and would have been as beneficial being sent on a email! The clinician sent me a link and told me this is the process and the steps we will go through starting with one. They were not interested in any of my symptoms or discussing anything during my visit and I asked if there is anything lifestyle wise I could change or supplements to help that they could recommend and was advised to stop smoking, cut out alcohol, exercise and get rid of my Husband if he gets on my nerves, clearly none of my notes had been read before the appointment and advice that is no help to me as I have never smoked, I run half marathons, drink limited alcohol and are happily married.

My experience with Health Harmonie has been an exercise in frustration and systemic failure. Unfortunately, because they are commissioned by the Integrated Care Board (ICB) for my area, I was given no choice but to use them. Being "locked in" to a provider that maintains this level of general NHS ineffectiveness is unacceptable.
I submitted a formal complaint (Ref: COM-868) on 20th January 2026. Health Harmonie’s own policies and the ICB’s standards state that contact should be made within 3 working days. Health Harmonie did make contact quickly, however, ICB….. tumbleweed. As of 26th January, I have had zero acknowledgment from the ICB.
Furthermore, while Health Harmonie requested my blood results from my GP on 23rd January (blood test on 20th January and results available to me the following day) , they have shown no proactivity in ensuring these were received to move my care forward and even stated they would expect it to take 1-2 weeks for a blood test results to appear on their systems. It feels as though the patient is expected to do all the administrative heavy lifting while the provider hides behind a "commissioned" status.
Health Harmonie appears to be a bottleneck in the system rather than a solution. If you are referred here, be prepared for ignored deadlines, poor communication, and a total lack of accountability.

Poor. Appointment was nearly an hour late, with no communication and the GP receptionist unable (?unwilling) to communicate with the HH team. The doctor didn’t seem to listen and did not examine my daughter properly. Missing some problematic areas altogether. Advice was not clear and I felt that I had to prompt for investigations.

Excellent service from caring professionals- couldn’t ask for more - thank you

Waiting times on the phone are beyond poor. I waited up to 1 hour 30 on multiple occasions despite calling early.
I was told I had no appointment upcoming when I did.
The worst part is this entire ordeal was the consultant I saw face-to-face. Bearing in mind it was relating to an extremely sensitive medical matter, the consult was rude, abrupt, made unnecessary snarky comments, unfriendly, uncompassionate, passive aggressive and unprofessional.
I will never go back to this company again, and to think, we are paying for this.

Trying to contact this company is impossible. Obviously privatised not prepared to put staff on phones because of cost. Community based my arse, everything thats wrong with private sector is right here. Causing people stress when they need a response. Paying the top dog is more important.

I had a really positive experience with the mental health nurse Mr Wellington Munyemweri and Dr Uroosa Khan I felt comfortable and well listen to during my adhd appointments and they have both been very knowledgeable and supportive during my time. I couldn’t ask for anything more, I really appreciate there time and consideration for my diagnosis, I appreciate the tritation and diagnosis report will take some time, but I’m happy to hang on and give them time as nhs I have been waiting years just for one appointment. Thankyou for the positive service you provide.

Was referred by the GP for a lesion on my skin, first appt was within 4 weeks to take photographs but then heard nothing afterwards, I ended up calling them in December to be told ‘oh you need a biopsy a letter has been sent to you GP’ said letter never turned up. Anyway she booked me in for the 17th Jan for the biopsy, I huge wait! Very frustrating and left worrying if I have skin cancer! On the day of the biopsy appt I receive a call to say i have been booked in with the wrong surgeon so we need to cancel, the next earliest appt is the 12th Feb and I have to travel 30 miles to it! Absolute joke and I still haven’t received the report from my first appointment

Terrible telephone response service, waited 40+ minutes, no response, went to call back action and no call back

If you actually get to see a Doctor…
If you actually get to see a Doctor they are fine. The communications and appointments system is simply dreadful, long waits, huge telephone queues, appointments muddled and cancelled wrongly etc. Extremely distressing at difficult times. My husband died recently of a rare skin cancer and my own experience has been horrible.

I was referred by my GP to HealthHarmonie dermatology in Oldham for a birthmark excision in June 2025. From my first consultation with the dermatologist, I was left feeling uninformed and lacking confidence in the proposed excision. After weeks of waiting, I rang to explain I had not received my clinic letter and detailed my poor experience to which they apologised and immediately offered me a slot for the 24/Nov/2025 which I felt was strange given I had previously been told it would be some time before this. I decided to attend and judge on the day whether I felt comfortable to go ahead.
Myself and my partner arrived for my appointment where I was told that the HCA had called in sick so there was going to be a delay of ~1.5 hours whilst they waited for the replacement HCA and equipment to come from Birmingham. After waiting ~2 hours, I was told from the receptionist (not affiliated with HH) who had kindly chased where my appointment was up to, that I was not on the list. The HH staff did not have the courtesy to tell me this directly but eventually, on request, came to see myself and another gentleman in the same situation. The explanation from the HCA was as expected from HH, insincere and lacking resolution. We were told our appointments had been cancelled on the Friday to fulfil urgent appointments and they never informed us. Myself and my partner had taken time off work for this appointment and I had been anxiously awaiting it. For them to allow this oversight to happen was nothing short of poor care and left me feeling both upset and humiliated. I was told I'd hear from them to have a rearranged appointment which to this date, 15/Jan/2025, I have heard nothing.
I attempted to contact PALS regarding my experience but was shocked to find that as a private company, although FUNDED by the NHS, complaints are not accepted and instead have to be directed to HH. This left me feeling quite helpless - I don’t trust HH to deliver my care so why would I trust their complaints procedure. To prove this point, I submitted a complaint on the 28/Nov/2025 and was informed they would be in contact within 28 working days. Unsurprisingly, it is now past day 28 and I am yet to receive any response to my complaint and indeed any apology or rearranged appointment. I have instead submitted a complaint to the CQC since they inspect services providing care, including HH.
I have now contacted my GP to be re-referred under the right to choose pathway to an NHS-led service but this had to be passed on by HH to my local hospital. HH insisted I have a telephone appointment to approve my re-referral which was on 28/Dec/2025. Predictably, I spent the next week chasing this to find out on 05/Jan/2026 that the clinician had not documented our conversation and I had to have ANOTHER appointment. On the day of said appointment, I received a call to inform me I instead require a face-to-face appointment with the next one being 02/Feb/2026. This now means I have will have been waiting 8 months, and due to the delay in getting my referral forwarded, I'm going to be waiting even longer before I can join the NHS wait list.
I can't express enough my complete dissatisfaction for this company and I find it infuriating that this is deemed an acceptable solution to NHS waiting times. There is no organisation, coherence, communication or accountability throughout. Complaints are ignored and frustrations are met with, after at least 30 minutes wait, an attitude of 'this is our way of doing things'. Despite multiple failings from them, I've not once felt anyone try to make things right or sincerely apologise for how I have been treated. I urge people to raise their concerns with the CQC, and continue to fight for the care that you deserve. It shouldn’t have to be this way but for some reason, it seems it is. Let's stop privatising the NHS and instead re-invest in our own NHS public service that will likely cost less long term and be a service we can trust.

Rated one because I wasn’t given the opportunity to rate them zero 100,000. They are absolutely appalling. I have had my last 5 appointments cancelled last minute with no excuse. The last appointment cancelled was to discuss the inappropriate decisions made by local nurses which should’ve been at least a GP a letter they sent to me stating this. I can honestly say I’ve never dealt with a company so inadequate in my whole life. Clearly the NHS subcontract work to this company my question is who in the NHS manages compliance of subcontractors and where is the audit process?

Very very poor service had to wait 5 months after referral by go then had an appointment on 10/01/2026 and I went there and was told my appointment was cancelled as they had some system issues and they told me to call Monday morning for rebooking so I called them today and was told that they can’t book me as they don’t have funding anymore and I should ask my GP to refer me somewhere else.very disappointing.

The most frustrating thing about the process is, it's an absolute nightmare trying to speak to someone even when they send an email out with your details on and happen to put someone else's name on the document. Its taken nearly a month and still not sorted it and now the med nurse has decided not to medicate me because she thinks I need to take antidepressants beforehand. I've since spoken to an adhd expert and they have never heard of anyone doing this. Wish ad never gone with them.

Following quickly on from my initial appointment, i saw a Consultant. Diagnosis given and prescription sent to pharmacy. Treatment started the next morning. I am now waiting for a follow up appointment within 2 months from from my last one. From referral to diagnosis , 12 days. Excellent.

I was seen on time and greeted appropriately by the Dr and Nurses who very friendly and informative. The procedure was done very well and I was informed about what was to happen at each stage.
The only criticism I have is the phone numbers given to contact if I needed to rearrange or ask anything do not work- nobody answers them.

Excellent opticians at Healthharmonie, Wylde Green, Sutton Coldfield, my appointment was punctual and i felt at ease

The examination only involved taking a photo to be passed to a consultant. After six weeks with no contact I had to contact them. I was told the consultant wanted to see me and was given an appointment. At the last minute I was told this would be a phone appointment and I should send a photo. My current treatment is based on dubious photos.

Poor poor service from start to finish. Was referred by my Dr in Feb 2025. Seen by HH in June 25, told was a BCC that needed removing asap. This was done in Aug 25. After hearing nothing I was given an appointment for results in Dec 25, when attended this appointment, they told me they didnt have my results back yet and would ring me. Jan 2026 and still heard nothing. Ringing up is a joke. Avoid avoid
