The gym has just been refurbished, they reduced the locker space in the mens change room, this resulted in a shortage of lockers between 3pm and 6pm. they have been on a membership drive and the result is that the facilities are now under equipped.

Half of the gym is closed for weeks now. Just close it do quick refurb and reopen again 😡

Michael moir just opened a gym membership…
I've just opened a gym membership online and it was easy and helpful and the app is the best fitness app I've came across I will be going to pure gym on shiprow tomorrow morning for the first time hopefully it's as good as the app

Range of kit good, enough of each too. Ladies' toilets not great, one blocked, one no paper, showers unclean. Tricky locker

Good kit and space
A lot of equipment and in good space, not cramped. Could do with some better treadmills, and some assault/air bikes.
No toilets downstairs only upstairs.

A great first-time experience!
I purchased a day pass for the gym and, having never attended a PureGym, I didn't know what to expect. I have an expensive membership at what is meant to be a higher end gym, however, in my opinion, PureGym knocked it out of the park. The equipment was modern and extremely clean. Despite me being there at a busy time (from 4.30pm), machines were accessible and it was great to see so many squat racks, doubles of some of the most popular pieces of kit, etc. My usual gym doesn't have the likes of a push/pull sled, for example. A great experience all round. I'd move to PureGym in a shot if there was one convenient to me at home (Monifieth, just outside Dundee!).

I had already been a member but…
I had already been a member but cancelled my membership due to medical reasons and injury. I rejoined and found this process straightforward and easy to follow.
I love the gym because it is spacious and there are a variety of machines. I also love the 24hour access

Joining Pure gym
Joining was straight forward. The fees, the services provided and the options available. Induction was professional. I have never had an injury in pure gym.
I can’t remember when it opened in Aberdeen, 2005? I have been an occasional user since then.

I was offered a 3 day free membership through email when I just happened to be staying in Aberdeen for the weekend. I took the offer and joined and within 10 minutes was at the gym letting myself in. I hadn't been to a big public gym like that before and explained the lovely girl working, who showed me where everything was and then let me get on with my workout, mentioning to ask if I needed any help at all. I had no issues getting onto any machines, benches or getting dumbells or a barbell, it wasn't overcrowded either, I had a fab time ☺️

Helpful for a beginner
As a beginner, I found the app and the induction very helpful. The staff are friendly, informative and non judgmental. A clean, comfortable mix of areas with quiet spots too for individual warm ups etc.

Online everything is very straightforward and the joining process was great.i have dowoaded the app and I'm booked into my first class. However I tried on several occasion to have a look around but nobody was available

Regarding finding someone to show you around, you can book an induction class or you can just pop down between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday and press the assistance button in the foyer of the gym. A member of staff should greet you and you can ask them for a tour of the gym.
